I use the older version of gf63 thin 9rcx with 1050ti. It has a bunch of major issues. I cannot believe it still has a single fan. The old version is very hot and noisy. The battery life is super bad, the price paid for being lightweight. Some versions, including mine, have problem with the power distribution which results in unstable connection issues over wi-fi. It is made from plastic, so i had to say goodbye to a half of holding small elements when i opened it for the first time. The screen is really not the best, u will start to want something better after some time. Despite being hot, however, it still survives gaming on high-medium settings at 1080p. Keyboard has a huge problem when high precision of several keys pressed is needed for combo (for example in fighting games, forget doing half turn or 3/4 turn with wasd), numpad absence feels bad. Trackpad is ok. Overall, an ok budget model, the flaws of which in the end make you rather unsatisfied. I wish i could have sent mine on warranty before it ended, by i needed it every day for my work and studies and i would have to wait about a week to send it and receive it back. I still use it daily, changing thermal paste and pads about every 6 months. 40-50 fps are quite good, however, a bit annoying when you crave for smoother animations. I would say that this laptop (including the new 2021 version) offers the performance and capabilities of a steam deck. P.S. If the laptop is listed as the one that can be upgraded by the user, u can brake the factory seal to install new parts and keep your warranty. Contact the MSI center support in case of doubts

my problems from this laptop is, game or apps alway using integrated graphics instead using dedicated graphics so that make my game stuttering, just like pubg, farcry, gta v and rdr2
The only problem I'm experiencing with this laptop is that the battery has become absolutely horrible in a really short time. If I accidentally leave it unplugged (which has sometimes happened when I forgot to plug it in), it will randomly shut down completely. Sometimes the laptop can't even last without a powersource for more than a minute, and I'm not exaggerating. It's becoming really frustrating, because it seems really bad for the laptop for it to randomly power off; recently it suddenly had to repair the harddrive when I restarted it, as a result of it shutting down. Edit: and yes, the laptop gets extremely noisy and quite hot during gaming.

The moniter has other drawbacks too such as it's 48hz/144hz so there's no 60hz option which renders some 60 fps capped games unplayable on this laptop and almost every capped game will run on 48fps on full-screen. Plus colours are really dull.

I've bought it After seing this video, now after 1 day I can say most of what he said is not true.. both display quality and brightness are exelent, and graphic has a power limit because is a max-q (not an issue considering max-q is cheaper....)
@@bloodnva6745 there is no max-q for rtx3050. any manufacturer can configure its tdp for cooling policy. they make it 40w to keep it cool. gf63 always been hotter than its rivals
Ye sorry I thought he was talking of the 1650 max-q
This model also have only 1 fan so ye is more hot, but is also more thin and light compare to others (so better for what I use it for)
@@bloodnva6745 ive had the laptop for around 2 months with the 1650 maxq and my only complaint is that it gets a little too hot and the fans is a little too loud but i dont mind it that much, i am planning on buying a laptop cooling pad to place under it :D
I've read this part of noisy fan, but in dragon center you could decrease the speed, at 1400rpm I don't hear it at all and laptop stay cold (at least for browsing, streaming, office etc..)
I didn't buy it for gaming but I will surely try some games when I'll have more time
Does this laptop run Squad well ?
whatever this guy said is true, but i got this laptop at low price, so no complains.
Do you know the responsive time gtg g2g of the screen?
I have to be honest, the GF thin series is too damn hot when gaming
I have a GF65 thin with RTX 3060 and it usually reaches 100 degrees

Yes with hdmi . But performance in more than 1080p is quite low .

my problems from this laptop is, game or apps alway using integrated graphics instead using dedicated graphics so that make my game stuttering, just like pubg, farcry, gta v and rdr2
