Bought the 2024 silver model with the 4050 for 600 new. Threw in 32GB ram and a 1TB sata SSD. Super solid so far, hopefully hinges wont take a shit later on
cons - with gf63 is the keyboard ( cant get use it n no numpad ) And would b great if usb c and all sockets were backside of it. Only hdmi is in backside ( thats also something ) Rgb lights, i dont want my laptop shines like at Red Light Street Amsterdam 😂 so i am cool with dimmable Red backlights in the keyboard Will buy spare keyboard to use it at home. Otherwise price/performance he is top level Thin and light. Was aiming to buy Dell g5 series but its charger was only 1,5 kg :))) Got i5 12450 with rtx 3050! Amazing device for 670 euros
I have one of these laptops and I can say if you don't expect much, its a really good buy. I use mine for music streams and light gaming use. Love it so far :D
Just got one of these for $275 on clearance at my local walmart! For that price im extrmemely happy with the spec spread and hopefully it keeps up with my demands over time.
I bought one on sale at walmart about 6 months ago for 600$ when i was living in my car in between places for entertainment. They also didn't check my receipt or id and i could've easily stolen it had i wanted ( i don't steal but it was strange..) I upgraded the ram to 32 gb and i use it as a dedicated streaming pc to run my capturecard on ultra and OBS while i game from my primary desktop pc. If i have friends over ill use it for a dual pc lan setup. It can run pretty much everything for me but i got every bit of performance out of it by switching the bios to performance, using Standby list cleaner, and adjusting power settings. I also Overclock all my games with the msi center app and vsync everything at 60fps. It is a bit overkill just to run my capture card but it serves its purpose and makes up for its lack of use when i have lan parties. Dont expect to game and stream from this thing at the same time unless you really know what you are doing but i would highly recommend it for what i am doing.
@@dafuqmr13 i bought a 10$ chillpad and 20$ vornado fan from amazon for it. You put it on the pad raised up and then point the vornado right at the hotspot on the top left. I also set a custom fan curve in the msi center app to increase the fan speeds a bit. Using both of these correctly i get very good cooling. Never overheats at all and i stream on twitch for hours at a time. But without the fans it would melt forsure. But yea i am still really loving this laptop. It actually runs games better than my desktop that has a 2070 in it because the cpu is so much newer.
I have a gf63 with RTX 4060 and 12th gen i5. Mine supports display port via USB c. And it bypasses optimus too. Mine also comes with gen 4 SSD. Was a bit more expensive approx 670USD
Hi, which exact iteration of GF63 is this? I am currently looking at GF63-12UCX with the i5 12th gen CPU and RTX2050, since its currently on a very bargain price, but I am not sure if the display and speakers are the same as this one.
Welcome back Joel, I'd personally rather buy a steam deck oled for this price but i'm pretty sure that MSI wouldn't be selling it if there is no market for it
Yep I love mine, I have this but don't game on it since I have a One X, Series X, PS5, Ps3, old 360 and Gaming PC. Yeah I think I'm overkill for gaming tech since I don't game much. BUT that being said this is about 4x more powerful overall than the Steam Deck. But I'll take the deck anyday for what it is. A moving mobile marvel!!

@@1SSA1cosmoprower What streaming services are even outputting anything more than 60 fps? Netflix sure as hell isn't. Most movies are 24hz. Sports might be 60 fps. With 32GB RAM, yes. I imagine you're working with long 4K video files over 2 mins each. Even if trimming them to short 5 second clips, the video editing software is still working with the whole file, gobbling up memory.
