@@lencape6009 The battery life is awful bad (2-3h with middle activity), and if you want use it for your property, do this stationary. I think it works well 3D modelling and heavy data, but I use only with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Animator and acer appeared very good if you ask me)

I just got a Nitro 5 AN515-58-79A5 at Micro Center for $1,100 when originally $1,800. Specs i7 12th Gen 12700H; RTX 3070; 32GB DDR4-3200 RAM; 1TB Solid State Drive with 1080p 165Hz screen. I think I got myself a steal for the price! Every video shows the 144Hz display but no one ever talks about the 165Hz display model. The screen quality on it is great only have it on 40% brightness and that is with my window open with sun coming in. I mainly game on it but I also do a little video editing and have no complaints at all.

I bought a brand new Nitro 5 i9 3060 and I have a very weird clicking noise sometimes. Cant figure out where its coming from. Happens during gameplay and I hear it because I don’t have my volume up loud. Just happens here and their. I’ve googled it but came across nothing. The lap top is 2 weeks old from brand new
I got this recently and it has great performance. The screen does wobble a bit but so does the 2021 model, so I've heard it's normal. I would recommend it for $7-800 and use a cooling pad if you plan to game heavily.

The CPU is compatible with DDR5 but does DDR5 RAM SODIMMs use the same slots as DDR4 SODIMMs? (Thought I heard the presenter mentioned that the slots support DDR5). Based on reviews, I hear the screen brightness is decent even though it's not topnotch (around 287 to 300 nits). I think it's the best out there for the price but then again, there is the Asus Zephyrus G16 on sale with higher resolution and a brighter and bigger display, but that's about.

its better than my msi g66 that max thermals like crazy and sound like a jet engine with a 99 WA battery that last only 5 hrs with tweks .I have a nirto5 that 5 years old that works great and love the soft sound of the nitro fans and just picked up a nirto5 on a killer deal last month with i5 11th gen and 3050 16gb ram 144 hrz that's has great cooling like the old nitro .. Acer make some killer lap for the price and its easy to up grade the ram and hard drives . but I would take a bigger battery over a 2.5 hd space as the thing has 2 m.2 spots already
bruh. 90°+ are not reasonable temperatures. Keeping it below there is a selling point, not an issue with the product. If that's not good enough then get a desktop with the same money or spend more money on better laptop gpu.

I have this notebook and if you intend to buy it to study or work I recommend you to not do it. The fan speed will drive you crazy. Mine with just google chrome running and temperatures between 43 - 45ºC makes the fan speed reaches 4350 - 4500RPM. Impossible to work or study with that noise.

Even tho i setting off all the "killer configuration" and not made any priority connections..

With refurb'd models under $800, less any synergistic discounts/cash back it is a necessary trade-off versus a $1200 - $1600 range laptop, however they could end up tweaking some of the throttling by firmware in later updates. These laptops can last at least 4 years.. by then ddr5 will be a standard thing in laptops with lower latency and efficiency-- this was a drawback of the industry.. not specifically tied to acer not coming up with lower latency memories in the first place in the lower mhz chips. When we can have 4tb of m.2 ssd for under $200 as an upgrade, they can do away with the 2.5" sata space for an extended battery. As of now, the highest densities and lowest price come in the 2.5" sata ssd package.

Iris xe is the integrated gpu in the i5 processor kind of like intel uhd integrated gpus

With refurb'd models under $800, less any synergistic discounts/cash back it is a necessary trade-off versus a $1200 - $1600 range laptop, however they could end up tweaking some of the throttling by firmware in later updates. These laptops can last at least 4 years.. by then ddr5 will be a standard thing in laptops with lower latency and efficiency-- this was a drawback of the industry.. not specifically tied to acer not coming up with lower latency memories in the first place in the lower mhz chips. When we can have 4tb of m.2 ssd for under $200 as an upgrade, they can do away with the 2.5" sata space for an extended battery. As of now, the highest densities and lowest price come in the 2.5" sata ssd package.
Very strange-review in notebookcheck showed perfect cooling........And 2K screen is 100sRGB which come to 130% after calibration...
