    Hey graham! Do you have any tips on slaloms and slow speed control? I found myself really struggling with this during my cbt and would love to be able to master this.
    Thank you from your friends from the west (wales).

    Like your training of these young men as they seem a bit nieve to all the issues that are so important in riding safely. Giving good reasons why or why not to do some things should impress upon them that safety importance matter for their own safety at least if not other as well. good vidieo

    Difficult to tell for sure, but that double D helmet strap doesn't look fastened properly - that'd be regarded as not wearing a helmet should the rozzers pull you up ;)

    • @RJHMotorbikeTraining
      @RJHMotorbikeTraining  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Many "D Fasteners" come with either a stud or magnetic strap end to secure the loose end of the strap and stop it flapping about as with this helmet you mention. It is optional to fasten this last stud. The Helmet worn is securely fastened.

    Do you have to wear a helmet when you are riding a moped? Is it illegal?

    • @brandonwright9031
      @brandonwright9031 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is in fact the only thing you are required to wear by law.

    where i am considering taking my cbt they only allow hard boots with ankle protection...........

    • @vanehills
      @vanehills 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did my cbt in trainers and I wore mountain bike lightweight gloves. I was only there 5 minutes and got my certificate. Never even sat on the bike. I turned up on my scooter and when the instructor asked how long I'd had the bike and I told him 2 years he passed me without hesitation.

      And that is certainly nothing to be shouting about. Report the school to the DVSA as if what you claim is true its in breach of its ATB conditions.

    do your pupils not require sturdier footwear.

    • @RJHMotorbikeTraining
      @RJHMotorbikeTraining  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      We provide Helmets, Jackets, Gloves and Waterproofs if required but not footwear. We always recommend sturdy footwear being worn, however as you can see........ A CBT covers all the clothing you should consider wearing and why during a discussion. As its not the law, you can see most people don't wear them.

      Only a helmet is actually required by law I believe? However, nothing grates on me more than seeing people riding with a helmet, and a t shirt and tracky bottoms! I must admit I have ridden a few times with work boots on as opposed to motorcycle boots, and have even ridden in trainers occasionally.
      Going a little off topic, but i was told during my CBT that bikes do not actually need to have rear view mirrors attached by law, completely legal to ride without. Not entirely sure myself

    • @RJHMotorbikeTraining
      @RJHMotorbikeTraining  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In short, there is no legal requirement to have mirrors on a motorcycle. So you are not breaking the law if you have one mirror or two or none at all. However, as a motorcyclist you need to be fully aware of traffic around you at all times so it is highly advisable to have two mirrors as a minimum.

      Laurence Pickering I understand what you're saying but not everyone is going to be riding a bike beyond a cbt. The law is that the helmet is the only requirement and most ppl that take the cbt don't even buy a bike. Also not everyone has the funds to buy MC boots etc, if anything adding a requirement to have boots would put off a large amount of ppl simply because of the outlay. 😉 my personal opinion is buy the best gear you can afford

      It is within reason. We have turned people away for wearing very lightweight plimsoles/footwear. We do try and think of all sides 1st. Remember its not the LAW, however we do encourage safety where possible.
