In regards to all the comments saying how great of an instructor Leigh is- I did my CBT with him today and it was exactly as you see here. I went from absolutely zero previous bike experience to riding my newly purchased geared 125 home all in one day. There was absolutely no playing up for the cameras in this, Leigh is a great instructor, and was every bit as concise, informative, and supportive as you see in this video series!
Having a calm Instructor makes all the difference. If you don’t get one then don’t stay at that school for further training. We get so many A1, A2 and DAS trainees from CBT’s completed elsewhere 😀
Got my CBT coming up in just a few days. This was a great video learnt a whole load far more than many other CBT videos out there hands down the best. I'm guarnteed going to keep re watching this.
Very thankful to have found these videos! Taking the plunge and will be booking a CBT soon so was nice to see what to kind of expect on the day - also what an amazing instructor!! :)
Well done Dan! I think I counted 3 times of stalling, but after the rain and the wind, you got there, anda t over 17 years old (At the time), you showed not only great confidence, but a good attitude towards the riding, too. As someone who is about to do the same thing, I've found these videos helpful and informative. This particular segment was great because of the camera use and Leigh did good commentary throughout. Thanks for posting this.
Unfortunately, I had balance issues (On both a moped and a 125cc bike) at my free training session at 90-one training, Obelisk Rise, Kingsthorpe, Northampton on 7th Sept 2020 (I can't ride a bicycle, so it was really no surprise that I didn't get far). I wasn't invited to come back for the CBT course (On 18th Sept) and that has devasted me. Gutted about it, but I really appreciate the opportunity I was given, even so briefly. Having never done anything like that before, at least I tried something new, even if I failed fulfill my Biking ambition.
My instructor was nothing like this guy absolutely amazing very calm which is a big thing for new riders for those who don't know he is in yeovil Somerset just past morrisons
I had the same kinda guy, super chill. Explained to me about my indicator.. surprisingly you forget alot tbh as you're focused on getting used to the bike an road, very patient this instructor
Same, was one on one for the on-road riding part of the CBT and the guy I had was really chill and encouraging. When it started I was so scared I wouldn't complete it, but to be fair, I was the only one of my cohort who had never ridden a motorbike before!
Watched all your vids for the cbt and have to say it’s put my mind at ease. Lee as an instructor was brilliant, he took his time, explained everything in detail and showed compassion. Hope my instructor next week is as good as lee. Well done on getting your certificate 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Finally getting round to doing mine next month at 30 after years of not havign the time or finances to make having a bike viable option . Grew up around bikes but found this so informative and now can’t wait

That instructor sounds lovely. I bet he relaxes women into seduction. When they wake in the morning after a night of passion they'll find breakfast is made and he's washed and dried their clothes in a delightful fabric softener.
My parents bought me a lexmoto hunter 50, and I love it only been practicing using the clutch and pulling away in my garden but I have also took it on a dirt track, it did handle well, wasn't too bumpy of a track and I'm waiting for my provisional to come back so I can get my cbt and progress further
@@lexmotomotorcycles Thank you, thought I'd go on youtube and find videos to see what I should expect on the cbt and to get in to good habits whilst practicing at home and in safe environments

Just found your channel and needed to ask a quick question. I'm 30 years of age with a provisional. Could I ride a 125cc after passing my cbt? I've looked on Google and get various answers.
Emergency stop didn't look right. Few times he leaned a bit too much when turning but his turn in the road was good. Good vid to learn frm, but bear in mind few things! Thanks!
I have seen some schools have 1 in front and 1 behind, I think ultimately, as the instructor has a duty of care to the student, its however they feel comfortable keeping an eye on everyone.

Got my cbt Tuesday. I'm pretty concerned and anxious ,as I'm struggling to see how I can go from total novice to road ready on a manual within hours?? I mean you need 40 hours of car tuition plus they have a brake and clutch to aid you.
Yes it's certainly different. The CBT is only the provisional status for bikes hence the L plates. Road knowledge comes with time and starts as a pedestrian or cyclist. The CBT element just ensures you're comfortable with a motor vehicle. Additional training is always worth a look :) Hope you got on ok :)

Who was he supposed to be indicating too? There was only the instructor there. He did his observations as he should so what is the issue?
