Interesting how different riding techniques are taught in different countries. Took a course at Champion Riding school (California) that changed the way that I think about and use the front brake. The front brake is essential for overall braking and braking in a turn. Trail braking, or the gradual increase in front brake pressure until one is comfortable with corner entry speed, and can also see the exit of the corner. Why is it essential; It decreases radius of the turn (running wide) and increases the contact patch of the front wheel thereby increasing over grip and control of the bike. As long as it is loaded properly (“don’t surprise the brake”, or “wait for the weight” etc) then it can and should be used in all riding situations especially cornering. Think moto GP. Old training: Rolling on the throttle throughout corning - is an long outdated technique that I used for a number of years. Until I took a course and was willing to challenge what I thought I knew about riding. What I think I know should always be up for revision especially in a dynamic environment such riding a motorcycle.

Hi There, The instruction is quite clear but if you dont hear you just shake your head and the instructor will repeat themselves. Also you can turn the radio up or down and place the earpeace where you can best hear it in your helmet. You should be fine! Try your best to enjoy it. Its all experiance on the bike.
@@jandsaccessories30 Thank you. Fingers crossed it all goes well. Have been waiting to get started for a long time now. Was ready to get cracking but the second lockdown put a stop to my plans so looking forward to finally having a go on the bike!
@@gavinmills2806 Did ya get a bike?

Is there a Q A on the CBT?
The stopping sound annoys me. 😟 Otherwise, great vid!

Doing my cbt 20th may should I be worried about anything of so please say so I can focus on that cheers
No not at all, just relax and enjoy riding the bike. They will give you plenty of instruction so you will be absolutly fine. Good Luck!
Was it just me or was it a bit difficult sometimes to hear what the lady was saying on the radio during the ride around town?

Do you need to bring your own helmet and gear to the CBT or will it be provided? (If you don't have it yet..)
They have gear for you to wear, I think you need your own gloves and boots though. Thanks

I don't have the context to what CBT is with bikes and the comments aren't exactly helping
CBT = Compulsory basic training. It's the first step in order to get a full motorcycle license.
Go more to the centre of the left lane bc you look like your turning right if I was turning right I’d be in the right lane

That front brake was squeeky as hell nice vid though.
So why do I need to watch this?
You don’t?
No one said you did.
Maybe when you mature you'll understand
Are you able to have a private cbt
You would need to contact RJH directly
