  • Evenings and Mornings are the times for us couriers but I wanted to see how they actually differ and find out when the best time is to work for these food delivery apps by working one evening shift and then working the morning after, in this episode I worked a Saturday Morning Shift.
    Yes i understand people work night shifts and they order when home from a shift.... i also work nights and ‪@UberEats‬ is a blessing after a long night!

      When I worked Uber I had to deliver to unmarked industrial buildings in the middle of a gated compound, to a doctor in the emergency lane of a hospital (as per her instructions don't ask me), countless apartment complexes where all I was given was the building number, to cars in a parking lot, people on a beach, literally over 200 meters of sand dune, inside a police station, inside a library.
      One thing I learnt, is that old thing about "if you look confident you can go anywhere" really is true. As long as I have a bag of food and a confident walk I can breeze through any threshold, counter or gate. I've probably broken so many rules, possibly even trespassing laws, but they got their food and I've never been stopped.

    you are by far the best delivery rider I have ever witnessed. For years now I've been using Uber eats and the drivers are hopeless in comparison. 9 times out of 10 they cannot find the address, they never leave their vehicle if in a car to look for the address either. They do not contact you, and I have to leave my house every time and walk around the roadsides till they drive past me. And if I dont leave my house to collect the food from the car they just cancel it and return the food to the restaurant.
    the fact that you're actually going into the buildings, the lifts and delivering the food to the actual front door is unbeleievable to me! I think throughout the 3 years I have lived here I have had about 2 drivers who have delivered food to my door as advertised by the service. I'd honesty pay more if it meant they just brought the food to my house lol it's not hard. I cannot believe people dont tip you!

    Love the editing around 5:20-540. For a food delivery video it’s unique. I have been a Doordash driver for years but always admire the guys on bikes in cities. Of my 4755 deliveries I can only think of maybe 15 or so I didn’t get tipped on. I see in London this is not the case and it’s much different. I like the No carbon footprint and not having to worry about gas and vehicle maintenance. Even though I average about $27 per hour , only about $16 of that comes to me in the end. We are loving the content and Will be checking out your stuff tonight on the big OLED to get a real feel for the London delivery scene at night. Cheers from Western NY mate.

    • @dertfert745
      @dertfert745 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      How is that what's wrong with society? Some company posted a price and both the delivery person and customer accepted it. Why should the burden be on the customer to decide what the delivery person should get. It should be on the company to pay fairly (and the government to make sure companies pay fairly). It's the company that is abusive, not the customer... (that being said, because nobody wants to hold companies accountable, so people should just be nice and tip, but they are hardly the abusers...)

    • @jackryan2800
      @jackryan2800 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dertfert745 So you opened your statement by disagreeing with me but closed your statement by agreeing with me that people should tip more 🤷🏻‍♂️Seems like a semantic issue.
      Of course it falls on the government and the companies, I mean at the end of the day these are whom set the pricing. However, as a collective society we still have moral obligation not to abuse systems put in place by governments and/or companies.
      For me personally, I know how little they get paid for the work they do so I have no issue tipping people, but when I know majority of delivery drivers are on some form of bike, electric or motorbike and I'm trying to order a very large order, then best believe I will tip, because I know that I'm abusing the system. If I was to order from a larger supermarket, not only would you have to wait for a delivery slot but also pay the extra.

      ,my past old jobs in teen where I was abused they wouldn’t give me evenings to eat I would have to work sometimes round the clock without break or food n get home late morning n eat then.
      Now due to disability I use to struggle to eat until late at night sometimes n can’t sleep without food all night long
      Delivery is a lifesaver for me.
      There was a time where I couldn’t physically take care of myself n didn’t eat or drink for 3 days had doctor call out to save me, but anytime. It got that bad again takeaway was a lifesaver for me.
      Now able to eat in again :) get bad days but not as bad as before
      Not sure why the building in the video wanted him to take off his helmet.
      Anyway services are to serve customers not to judge n pass personal opinions n assumptions on them
