Man on his bike at midnight making content in the rain in London. Absolutely class effort. I’m still yet to meet a driver who says more than two words on delivery.
You are an unbelievable delivery driver. Your attentiveness and care for other peoples orders is something very very rare. Most people see this job as a throw away, or it’s whatever. The fact you care so much says so much about your character. Also, the amount of money McDonald’s make, it is outrageous with the amount of money they make they don’t do the simple things to ensure people get their food in one bit.
I’m not a delivery rider but I’m a chef. In my large collection of coolers that I use for my client picnics, I always pack a disposable highly absorbent surface rag (checkered ones -they’re sturdy & can be re-used) the ones that can be bought ready packed in pellet form. And also a mini bottle of diluted (60%-40% water) CIF lemon in a mini spray bottle. That way if you have spills, you can just barrel thru the sticky mess. Please wear yellow fabric reflectors strapped (the harness one is ideal but then I saw you wearing a go pro chesty) on your wrists or ankles during your evening shifts. So that you’re visible to tipsy or sleepy drivers.
I can’t say how refreshing it is to see someone hold themselves to a high standard at a job where many might not. Well done. I do my job well for me as much as the money. Personal satisfaction is part of the reward.
I cannot wait until you get more sponsorship deals and you can tell us all about the cool apps and gadgets you've got on your bike! Would love personally to have a full review of your entire setup!
Whenever I'm feeling unmotivated about going work. I'll either watch a London eats video or just remember how insane my guys work ethic is. You've got me into work so many days I wanted to just stay home. Love the channel. Keep these vids coming dude.
Your channel is my new TH-cam binge while working from home. I never thought I'd enjoy having a video of someone delivering food in the background so much. I love your vibe and your positivity doing a job I'd honestly hate 😅 Good on you, I'm glad to see the channel is thriving, keep it up dude 💪
The "London Sense" is soo true. You can literally go from being robbed/stabbed/hurt to being left alone if you know what to do, what to say or how to act in certain areas or around certain people. London is unpredictable especially in the evenings, you have to know your surroundings and be alert!
Totally agree with you on the 'london sense' thing. Live there my whole life moved away last year, and I just naturally learned how to know when troubled would start and who would start it. Street wise, naturally get it being raised in London, especially south lol
YO you're on 125k subs!!! That 25k came in so quick bro I'm loving the growth of this channel, it's truly deserved. Your Amsterdam episode was so fun, hope to see similar in future. I think it's time to binge the channel from video 1 to see the development
I been working as a bouncer/security in london nights for over a decade, I can definitely say London after around 22:00 isn't safe, especially if you not street smart
I did enjoy the Amsterdam episode, my old hometown and also one of the areas you visited and I am back for more! Is there also a vid with some Camden area? Got some nice memories about the place and it's fun to see your kind of visiting places in this kind of way. Keep up the great work but most important, drive save!
Yes! Maccas should absolutely seal their cups! And I don’t blame you for wanting to pay for it even though it’s not your fault, I feel the same way when shiz like that happens.
I’ve only just subscribed but am obsessed with watching you do your orders,I was born in Hackney where my parents lived but haven’t been to London for a very long time so it’s nice to watch you doing your orders.
TH-cam makes navigating this an absolute nightmare but for you I will absolutely do it, so I've signed on. Your content got me to discover and explore ebikes to the point that I bought one last month and now I am commuting on it in the US. Be well, bruv.
So pleased to see this channel blow up, I dunno why it's so relaxing watching these vids! I've got a question, apologies if it's been answered before and hope it doesn't come across rude - how comes the faces of the restaurant workers aren't blurred?
yes they should all adopt this sealing the drinks properly, it can ruin the entire delivery with any sort of spillage, i have open drinks (lasses) wrapping in cling film, and have been lucky not to spill it. Even just with a lid, its not too much to ask.
Tbf, i barely ever spill drinks from Maccies. The cardboard drink holders fit the standard size delivery bag perfectly. They shouldnt move forward or back. Then stuff a towel next to the drinks to stop them shifting side to side
In regards to drink sealer some maccies have a machine that were recently refurbished but they hardly use it but they should use cans if they cant just use cling films
I feel your pain with the spilt drink, I work for Tesco’s home shopping delivery and it’s always the washing liquid or fabric conditioner that spills and goes over the whole tray of items just feel so guilty when you deliver 🥴
You should take what you’ve learned about the road network, and use it as a base to start the Knowledge of London. You can make some serious money, again when you want with no boss.
Hi there, I am a Fatbike-Fan myself based in Berlin-Germany and have the " Baby-Elephant"(Trek Farley5) which is not motorized. Since some times, I have decided to have a two-day trip in to the “Madness” of London(lol)Your content has been encouraging me to ride that city for a minimum 2 days in a row. I know, it sounds crazy, but never mind, I feel myself like an Elephant driving a desert sound and slow. lol Anyway, thank you very much for your content, which is outstanding.
Great video, just bought a Himiway zebra on the back of your video good bike but just found out the new 2023 model you can not adjust the throttle speed, and it’s now stuck on 3 km 😢
First off, many congrats on hitting 125K subscribers. Going from 1 to 1.25 didn't take very long, either! Second thing: it's absolutely not your fault that the McDonalds bozos dont double lid drinks for delivery, and it certainly isn't right that you should have to apologize to customers for the fact that one of the biggest fast food operations in the world can't get its delivery act together. But for your own peace of mind maybe you could grab a stack of lids from a friendly McD employee sometime and take them with you on delivery nights to mitigate the risk of this happening.
Had a driver spill my drink a while ago too and I felt so bad for him, ironically it was also Mcdonalds lol. I hope the drivers dont get any issues when we raise it with support, its not the drivers fault!
Hello London Eats I am I new subscriber! Me and my wife came across your channel thru recommendations last week and we have binge watched alllll week! Brilliant channel and all the best pal 👍👌
Keep up the good content. I have an idea that might help if a drink spills which I know is a hazard of the job. You could put some kind of mesh(example - the wire rack from the tray for making toast under the grill) in the bottom of the bag so if there is a spill the bags are not sitting in the liquid.
Himiway said in rain to best put some small clear plastic baggy over the controller and LCD screen to protect everything. Can't hurt if you live in england ;)
Mate, love your channel. Keep a small roll of tape to put on the lids of drinks. And keep a small tea towel or something to clean the mess. Put them in your bag.
not your fault mate as you say they should stick a double lid on the drinks good luck to your arsenal for the new season keep up the great work you do with these steve
Here in Thailand we have delivery services from Foodpanda, GrabFood, Robin Hood, Lineman etc. While ordering you can decide to give a tip. I never do that. I always give tips when the delivery arrives, so I know for sure the driver get the tip money.
Deliveroo generally give £2 for arriving at a pickup that is closed. You need the order date, time, location but not sure if you need to ring support to log it, it's done on a form so wouldn't think so.
I know the London sense, man. I moved to Tokyo in 2007 and it is DELIGHTFUL being able to switch that skill off. It comes back with a vengeance when I visit home, though.
As a former New Cross resident, I get what you're saying about the feeling you get for situations/locations. (and then I see you in the video doing a drop in New Cross!)
As someone who lives in NYC, I understand the London you were talking about. It's common for people who live in big cities to avoid things that people who don't live there wouldn't understand from smaller cities lol
Gotta say mate I really enjoy your videos. I lived in SW London/Middlesex area for 6 years (I'm from Linwood, Scotland) and genuinely forgot how big the place is 😂. Do you ever cover the Greenwich area? I remember all the restaurants there
Love your videos! I'd be interested to see a video where you do a shift in Essex somewhere. See how it compares to London? Not anywhere that is basically London eg Romford, Barking, Dagenham. Further out eg Chelmsford or Southend!
Only just started watching these food delivery videos. I have to say they are really relaxing and easy to watch. Especially the night ones 🙂 new subscriber!
People who don't think london is dangerous are living in another world. Never had to worry about anything in their life. I challenge anyone who's grown up and never seen their parents struggle to take a walk through South or East London at 2am. You'll learn what life is very quickly
If I lived in London and in the area where you tend to deliver, I'd keep a watermelon red bull permanently in the fridge for you on the slim chance that you'd be my delivery rider! Great content
In Estonia KFC swapped the drinking cups to bottles for the same reasons. Im doing courier work for 3 platforms: Bolt Food; Fudy and Wolt. Everytime I got an order from KFC and about 70-80% there were a spillage :D
On one hand the customer knew there was risk with ordering a hot drink like that. However McDonalds need to only allow bottled drink on their delivery apps. Their soft drinks are major leakers with the straw hole let alone the hot drinks with the drinking hole on their lids.
Same with growing up in Dublin I call it being street smart. I used to travel into London on my own when I lived in Herts. French McDonald's scrapped the normal drink cups but the new type aren't much better.
The main reason i changed from bike to car was because of mcdonalds, just sick of the hot drinks spilling. Which is annoying as I enjoy it on a bike much more.
As a mcdonalds employee, your videos have made me always double lid the drinks and always tell my coworkers to double lid too!
Thanks

There is no excuse for McDonald’s not to provide canned drinks for deliveries and investing in a sealable lid for hot chocolates and milkshakes.

@@lukebowden3618 I don't usually agree with people like you but ill make an exception this time.
Lid sealer doesn't work with hot drinks, the buildup of steam just pops it open lads.
Hot drinks are near 100% spill rate from Mc Donald's here.
No can thanks, I prefer the drink from the machine
Love how much this guy cares about his customers 🎉

Your idea with the lids for drinks , doing them like boba tea is brilliant ! I truly hope fast food places are watching your content !!

That tough decision when you're ordering a McDonald's. Do I get a coke and risk a spill, or get a tiny arse bottle of Tropicana.
