- I enjoy working this time of the night/morning, the roads are empty (ish) and its allot more easier to get around the city, the only downside to working at 3am is customers who fall asleep after placing an order (i have done it myself).

I deliver in Glasgow and there was a teachers strike yesterday. I got an Uber eats order that was around £90 😮 I ended up getting an £18 tip from them!
Work in Glasgow myself. Are Ubereats rates better than deliveroo? Because some of their rates are abysmal atm. That's a sweet order!
@@thenonstop-db5ph I haven’t done any Deliveroo orders for a few weeks as the rates have been awful. Uber has a set rate per mile obviously but I just try and stay around the same area

I am disabled and housebound and rely a lot on services like Deliveroo. During the lockdown, I would have been lost without wonderful delivery riders and drivers. I've been doing uber eats/deliveroo for two years now and I honestly can say I love riding around Paris all day/night long, no other job I did ever compares...I sleep and I ride that's it. I start getting withdrawal symptoms if I don't ride my PCX for more than a day...

As someone who lived in London for a few years, I agree that the city at the middle of the night is something amazing, used to travel a lot on the nightbus service due to work and it was always fascinating to travel through the city centre area at let's say 3am.

I used to do Uber eats when I was at uni with a car it was a felt a bit soul crushing towards the end but it really helped at a trying time. Seeing you enjoying it and cutting about late at night reminded me of doing a few late nighters myself 😂 make your bread my guy and keep safe

I'm amazed that their system doesn't require a restaurant to positively accept each order. And a way for you to report problem orders such as that pizza one so drivers after driver isn't going to try and pick it up after you have to cancel.

To go to that length to make sure the customer got the order - calling rider support, taking a photo - even if they dont answer the call or the door - London Eats is an absolute legend. Not many riders would do that. Fantastic rider and great content!

Wow london soo lucky to have food service places open beyond 11pm lol.. in the USA, here even lot of which is closed by 11pm-12am. Aww I miss when Mc'd was 24 hours here.. now its closed early too. damn covid.
Another great video, as a food delivery driver I appreciate everything you go through. We need to get rid of the bad practice drivers, I see some greedy types, has a double with deliveroo but also accepts orders uber or justeat, and drives of to other restuarant with double in bag and waits 10-15 minutes for other order to be ready. Also many rude aggressive drivers, i encourage restuarants, customers and drivers to help rid these of all platforms
In the about 500 orders I've done as a contract driver like these, I've seen maybe 3 other people using thermal bags. I'm ALWAYS next to other drivers too lol

Only just come cross you site. You are an amazing person, don't know how you deal with the job but you seem to enjoy it. What fascinates me is that a lot of your orders are for basic foods that people could cook at home. Where I live a lot of folk have to struggle through life on food banks or are on low incomes so could not afford delivery. London has always been a different place but the financial gulf seems to be getting greater with some of the poorer areas of the country.

Just got back from London after 4 nights. Arrived Sunday and thought I’d get some grocery bits in including 2 large bottles of water and 8 cans of beer amongst other bits at Sainsbury’s near Kings Cross. Order confirmed and delivery confirmed by 8 different guys who each quickly declined probably because of the weight which I understood but when I checked the order the delivery was 39p SERIOUSLY 39 fkn pence. Disgusting. I was about to cancel when a young boy picked it up on his pushbike and arrived shortly but not to steady with bags on his handlebars 🫣 these delivery companies need to up their game and pay what you guys deserve and the public need to be a wee bit more appreciative of what you do for a pittance. The young man went away with a £20 tip which he absolutely deserved, big respect to you all and much higher delivery charges is needed, big respect pal and stay safe ✊

I worked as a part time rider in pizza hut from 2008 till 2011 in my student time..
I used to ride in Croydon / nurbury / thortonheath area...
I was student and we used to get about 6 odd pounds per hour... All the memories of riding in London..., 👍👍
