This was so illuminating! As a ballet dancer, I've always wanted to understand the anatomy of the hip and what the hip is doing when we turn out and extend our legs. This lesson helps a bit.
Just ran into one of your videos a few days ago and now I can’t stop watching. The way you explain makes it easy for me to grasp ! Love it ! Keep them coming! 🫶🫶🫶

Very informative. Thank you. I had a replacement of the hip and proximal (upper) femur 5 months ago due to Prostate Cancer and was getting a little frustrated how long it’s taking to heal. Now I understand how complex the surgery was!! I’m 73.

Great posting, what is causing unlevel foot length, one side is short then other side, it happen after hip joint surgery, replacing the head and neck of the femur.
the video amazed me a lot and it is well explained. During total hip replacement with an artificial hip, are the ligaments around the hip removed with the surgery itself?
Dr. Siebert, the lig inside the joint, aka Teres lig, (min 5:25) is round and gives a good windshield-wiper-like cleansing to the articular cartilage of the femoral head, with every motion of the joint . Don’t you think that that function remains for life? The Teres is really a weak ligament, and I can’t see any other function for it, in the adult.
Thanks!
