GLOBAL ENTRY UPDATE: According to a CBP release, effective October 1, 2024 fees will increase to $120. Once the rule goes into effect, applicants under the age of 18 will be exempt from the application fee when a parent or legal guardian is already a member of, or concurrently applying for NEXUS, SENTRI, or Global Entry. I better hurry up then
I applied online yesterday morning. I got an email this evening that I have been conditionally approved. I got an interview appointment for tomorrow morning. Talk about fast!!
Wonderful!
What documents do you need take for the interview?
@@skyelee9398 Passport (all if you have multiple passports), and drivers license or some other official gov't ID. They ask you your address, ever been arrested, etc. Pretty much what you put on your application. The following week, I went with my wife for hers. There was a woman ahead of us. She stated that she had a DWI (OUI) from about 10 yrs ago. She said she didn't think it mattered b/c it was so long ago. Not so. They told her to get all the court documents and submit them.
You’re luck… I applied last year lol and got conditionally approved 2 weeks ago and approved last week after the interview. Just waiting on the card.
@@mjasonmerritt The card comes in about a week. I also did Nexus since I was traveling through Canada. Did the interview last Friday at the border.
just got conditional approval after 10 months. very basic and straightforward application with no red flags but it still took forever!
It’s crazy how the times vary but so happy that you’re conditionally approved. I just returned from an international trip and it made the world of difference, was out of customs in 2mins!!!
Thank you very much. I applied for mine on Friday, April 5th, and it just took 2 days. I was conditionally approved today, Sunday the 7th, a miracle☺☺. I already scheduled my interview in 10 days.
Excellent!!!! Thanks for sharing your experience, it’s nice to know that they’re moving fast!!! Best wishes for your interview and happy travels ✈️ 🥰 🧳
Thank you for this excellent GE tutorial. I applied April 11th and received my conditional approval April 12th.
Wow, you were conditionally approved so quick!!! Wishing you the best for your interview 🥰
@@styledbygeneva ***Update*** I scheduled my interview upon receiving my C.A.. The only office in Wisconsin was booked through May 29th with no appointments available. Therefore, I scheduled my interview at the next closest G.E. office which was O'Hare Int' Airport for May 15th. I followed YOUR advice and checked updated interview availability Monday, April 15th. I was able to get an appointment for today, Tuesday, April 16th in downtown Chicago. My interview went super quick. I was back in my downtown Milwaukee office within 2 hours. An hour and half after returning, I received my G.E. approval email from TTP.
Applied: 4/11
C.A.: 4/12
Interview: 4/16
G.E. Approval: 4/16
Thanks again for your awesome tutorial!
OMGoodness, this comment made me so happy!!!! I’m so glad everything worked out!!!! Happy Travels!
@@GSDTactical What documents do you need take for the interview?
Thank you for the great information and details
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing. Great content and I'm going to check this out 🌏✈🥰
Awesome! Thank you!
This was very helpful. Thank you for thoroughly explaining the process.
Glad it was helpful! One thing I don’t think I covered: you have to activate your card upon receiving it in the mail. There will be a security code on the back, log into the system, enter the code then you’re ready to travel 🧳🗺️✈️
Thank you so much! This was very helpful. I got my approval quickly as well. Now on to set my appt!
So glad it helped! Your interview will be a breeze!!!
Wow! I applied online for my Global Entry card. Took 8 months from start to finish with the card arriving in the mail last week😕
I wonder if it takes longer depending on where it’s processed at. Sorry it took so long.
Thank you, this was very helpful.
So glad! 🥰
Thank you young lady for the helpful information.
You are so welcome!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
thank you
You're welcome ☺️
Thank you for this information. I got conditionally approved. Just waiting on an interview next weekend.
That’s wonderful 💞
Thanks very informative
Glad it was helpful!
Great information there, thank you! A couple questions. Have you used the Global Entry app instead of the Kiosk? When you renew your GE, do you need to redo the interview?
I haven’t used the app yet, I travel next month so I’ll report back or hopefully someone will comment with their experience. You may or may not be required to re-interview…it varies.
Took me 2 days to get conditionally approved! Have my appointment set!
That’s awesome!!! Happy traveling 🧳
I loved the video. I'm seriously considering applying for global entry. I'm curious: have you been to the city you're named after?
Thank you for your support. Switzerland is on my long running bucket list, I hope to make it happen in the next few years. What about you, have you been?
@@styledbygeneva not yet. But it's high on my list.
Thank you for your informative explanation. As a stay at home mom it does not give an option in drop down menu for employment history? What can I do?
I didn’t have to enter any employment because I was a stay at home mom (although it’s the hardest job in the world) you won’t have any employer data to input. I hope that helps
Similar to other comments on this thread, I applied for renewal and rec'd approval within 2 days and my ID card within a week. My wife applied more than 2 months ago and it's been radio silence. We don't see a way to ask a question about status on the Global Entry website. What's the best way to get in touch with them to check if there's an issue with her application?
Congrats on your approval, sorry it is taking your wife's longer. Have you tried their help desk? Try this link: www.help.cbp.gov/s/questions?language=en_US let us know if it works.
I have a question. Can you travel internationally and use your known travel number and TSA pre check, even if you haven’t received your card yet?
To my understanding, you don’t have to have the card in most cases however, you must be approved and have your Known Traveler Number (KTN). There are some instances liked expedited entry at Nexus & Sentri that require the card.
The card is not necessary at the Global Entry Kiosks, as they don’t accept them but you’ll need your passport.
Great information. You got yours really quickly!! I probably need to get mine too!
Hello, hello I have global already … do you know how to update my address ??? I recently moved. Thank you 🙏🏻
Hello, if you log into your Trusted Traveler Programs account on the right side of the screen there’s a panel labeled “Update Your Info” this is where you’ll make the change. Hope that helps
Hi, for a global card I need the book passport or I can use mi passaport card or I need to have the passaport book
I’m not 100% sure but I think you need the actual passport book. Although the card provides proof of US citizenship, you can’t travel by air. I would highly recommend calling 877.227.5511 or submitting a question via this link: help.cbp.gov/s/questions?language=en_US
If you get an answer please circle back and let us know.
You need a passport book!
What if you moved after 20 years and have not updated your address on your driver's license? Oh and still live in the same complex?
I highly recommend contacting CBP directly if you have specific questions or concerns.
I have felonies ! Am I eligible for globe entry?
I would check with CBP directly for sure.
My husband and I applied for global entry last month. Mines was conditionally approved within a few days but he is still waiting on his. Worse thing is that I can't find an appointment near me. They are all booked up
Oh no, have you tried checking every Monday for cancellations? I hope you both get your approvals and appointments soon.
@styledbygeneva I have been checking but not every Monday. I will definitely start doing that. Thanks for that info
I'm immediately asked to enter my "authentication app code" number, you don't mention anything about needing that.
Sorry, I’m not familiar with that, I wasn’t required to use one…definitely contact CBP directly.
