Absolutely going to try this. Every pair of shoes in my current rotation have given me numb toes but shoes feel amd fit great. I think theyre just tight on top of my foot without me really feeling that tightness
can you combine both lacing techniques to prevent top pressure AND heel slip?
This helped a lot.
I was about to change my Brooks Ghost 14 as they were giving me soreness on the top of my foot, Skip method of lacing did the trick. Much Happy now.
Thank you so much. I have a new pair of Altra's and having heel slippage. This works wonders 💖
I have come from a run in the brooks launch gts 8 and both my feet are numb.I was about wipe them down and return but I guess I can try thisbloose lace method first
This has helped me so much! Thank you!
Can I combine the two since I have both problems?
Yes! There are a number of lacing options and you can mix and match those with the lace lock / heel lock as needed. Many runners combine them with great results.
Should I untie and tie runners every time I run or is it ok to slip the shoe off and on and leave the laces alone?
Do you have any other lacing techniques to prevent heel slippage? I wear trail runners for backpacking but get blisters due to the shoe rubbing on my heel (even though I wear thicker hiking socks). The shoe is the correct size and I've had this happen with 6 different shoes from different brands. When I try lacing it as you showed my heel still slips and it makes the top of my foot go numb.
This is exactly what happens to me. Did you find a solution?
@@Catcheronrye I haven’t found a better way to lace my shoes so I’ve been wearing two pairs of socks (usually a thicker hiking sock and something thinner like a dress sock) and that seems to help keep my heels from moving around too much. It’s not the most comfortable and it makes my feet super sweaty but i haven’t gotten any blisters since I started doubling up my socks.
I’m sorry you’re having the same problem but I’m glad I’m not the only one with this issue. I went to several shoe and outdoor stores trying to find a solution and the employees I talked to all thought I was just being too picky with my shoes and said heel slipping wasn’t a thing if the rest of the shoe was fitting properly
....and what about running shoes that don't have that secondary lacing hole at the top of the running shoe??
I have Air Max 97 and the laces holes are not like those at all. Any tips?
I get numbness in toes. Usually after 2 miles.
How did you fix this? Did I it go away? Currently going through this
@@hellomotto339 shoes are probably too tight
This is me too! I hate it. Did you fix the problem? If you did, please share how
@@dianavangeles still haven’t.
I had to switch over to wide shoes to correct my toes issues
Thank you bro
Can you combine the two?
yes! You may find it is not necessary after implementing just one.
Has anyone tried the second method? Looks like it would be too loose for a run.
You can pull the laces to tighten to your liking. - Sean
Indeed, I think it's a bit too loose, but if you combine the two you get a better result. But still, I feel like my heel is moving a bit too much..
Way too fast. Have to watch on 0.25 speed to see what you're actually doing with the lace
Stay away from insoles guys, that's it from me👍🏽
