My next grocery haul was potatoes, rice, corn and beans. And this is what lve been eating. New menu for me and new videos. l believe in you, l truly do.
I can never go back to eating less. I eat so much potatoes, w Sweet potatoes, rice, etc… my plates are always full on the McDougall lifestyle. I used to always be hungry. Now I’m full & satisfied. And I look better.

Started three days ago. I have NEVER eliminated fat from my diet. I am 49. For three days the food noise has left my head. I am not craving food nor eating all of the time. Not hungry much either- so strange for me but I like it so far!

Megan. I had a low iron problem a few years ago and was told the only way that can happen is from bleeding internally. I can only imagine that taking a high dose ibuprofin caused me to bleed from my stomach. It took time to build it back, but I used a liquid iron from the doctors office, but you can find it in the health food store too. Make sure it's from organic sources. Also snack on raisins, etc. It took a few years to get my iron stores back to normal. ps. You need to find a better doctor. One who is more up to date on these matters. Good luck.
Dr McDougall,your shirt is awesome. I been watching his videos and he wears some nice shirts! Once in a while I wear a nice dress shirt but the stuff they sell is the stores is ugly. You can't look bad when you are wearing a nice looking button up shirt.
We used to do a 40 hour famine here where you get people to sponsor you and you fast for 40 hours with the money going to a charity in Africa. It was hard but people all over New Zealand would do it and a lot of money was raised.

The mediterian and Chinese work from morning till night that's why they cou.d eat so much starc I find him to be so rude, he tried to humiliate drs like dr Fuhrman on yt, I wonder why these people even talk to him. Your weight lost has nothing to do with diabetes. Please explain why you gotta have a fresh tomato,lettuce,onions,on a fresh bun with your burger? Because you love sugar,and starch is what you love. Trust in yourself to make a simple choice by choosing a diet full of fiber,whole plant based cuisine (starch). Make yourself some bean stew,you can try it out of a can. If you want something really tasty try some beans add enough water and cook it,you make yourself good stew that you can freeze and have everyday. Get yourself low sodium tomato sauce with whole tomatoes freeze it cook it make yourself some pasta. Frozen fruits and veggies,fill the freezer. Lots of potatoes,cans of corn,get lots of rice and store it. Cracked wheat,greens,the list goes on. Just go full throttle and don't look back. If you got craving for junk food,get yourself some dates,enjoy the taste of sugar,make sure you got lots of fruit on hand,bananas,oranges,mangoes,pear,peaches,etc. Even canned fruit if you cant have it fresh but just stock up on it. For your canned fruit get your cans BPA free,no galvanized metal, make sure there's no added sugars and no sucrose because it taste like crap. No one on this planet can ignore their craving for sugar and if you want a pie,make it with fruit,add some cane sugar,cook it,make yourself a pie that is literally fat free other than the crust has some. But dont eat too much of it,or you your gonna end up getting sick with some stomach issues,probably some explosive diarrhea or some cold chills. Just understand your gut and know the difference between plant smoothie or whole fiber which is your best bet for good gut health. Just stay away from high fructose soft drinks and jellies,choose sugar can if you want a soda and if you want some jam get fruit pectin. Once you understand how much we love sugar,your pain will subside,your bp will probably go down and you will get better. Because I am committed 100% to a plant-full diet,no oils,no processed vegan crap!! And nothing else has served me better even when I went off the track,it will only cause you pain and depression and guilt,and even anger issues.

Most candida diets exclude most fruits and starches along with sugar and processed foods. Does this conflict with the McDougall diet? Thank you.

High starch foods, which is corn 🌽, 🍚 rice and potatoes, is a cause of candida. These foods have a lot of mucus once they break down.
