The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC Air Hammer th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS was just the tool I needed. I Use it to remove stuck bolts. If held at the right angle you can cut slightly into the bolt. Then turn the air hammer to where it will hammer the stuck bolt to unspin the bolt. Given a little practice it works great. This air hammer gives you the control needed to get the job done right. Very powerful yet still does not seem to have as much vibration as other guns I have used. One of the best I have gotten my hands on.
I wouldn’t say it as the gerabox was not fully restored. Only cleaned and grease changed. And in my opinion the concrete test result was not that good. The drill with this diameter should go into the concrete twice as fast. There are o-rings in the hammer assembly that MUST be echxanged in order to restore the gearbox properly. Author of the video did not even find it. Instead he focused on paiting the housing. Give me a break.
Great Job Sir. The LXT Series isn't that old.... Nice tool. Great job restoring it. Those are not cheap. Great tool to have. I'm sure you do this, but for other viewers.... As you start to collect Makita batteries (or whatever brand you gravitate towards), start NUMBERING the batteries right away. Get a label maker, mark them 1, 2 3 whatever... And the DATE it was new.... when you have a pile of batteries rolling around in your truck, or your home shop, or both, and all the sudden you have a "bad" pack, that can be a real pain in the keester, if you can't identify it, and pull it out of rotation....
Please, do not solder wires and then insert them into screw terminals. The solder deforms over time and actually “flows” away from the terminal causing the connection to become loose and unstable. This can lead to arcing and potentially a electrical fire. It’s better to screw the terminal down onto bare wire than it is to solder. The proper way to do it would be to use a wire ferrule that is crimped onto the wire and then inserted into the terminal and tightened down. Ferrules keep the strands of the wire in place and provide the best connection for screw type terminal blocks
Ah this is one of the old brushed ones where they used an identical gearbox to the corded version. The HR2470 hammerdrill is where they took this gearbox from.
Nice job. Not everyone, will show they're results with real testing after restore the tools. But I heard Makita not good at this days. What do you think about that?

Yes you're right. Tin is a soft metal. If you want to do it better, use a crimping tool.

17:09 сам подшипник не смазывают снаружи, который под крепёжной пластиной! Только если внутри!
20:45 wrong side ring spring. it is absolutely impossible to do this. an inverted spring will damage the oil seal
Really super
Best bro...
Como sempre, um trabalho formidável.

Eu não sei detalhes sobre isso também, isso é um experimento.
What spray did you used for plastic housing? Some clearcoat? Satin/matte/petrol-resistant/for plastic?
It is flat clear spray.
that's awesome

I don't know about new tools, but all the vintage tools are good.

It is my mistake, I just realized while I was editing the video.
