- When I first heard this song a while back, I searched all over TH-cam to find Ron Hamilton (A.K.A. Patch the Pirate or Captain Patch) singing it(because he is my favorite singer), but there was no video of Ron Hamilton singing this song anywhere on TH-cam. Luckily, I somehow came across the Patch the Pirate Facebook page with him singing "My Hope Is Jesus!" In excitement, I emailed Majesty Music to get permission to upload this video on my TH-cam channel; so others who love Ron "Patch" Hamilton's singing could hear and watch him sing it on TH-cam also. In this video, Ron Hamilton tells a brief testimony and sings his beloved classic "My Hope Is Jesus" with Ben Farrell, his son-in-law, and his son, Jason Hamilton. I'm so blessed that my hope is in Jesus. He is the Rock on which my life is built. I'm so grateful for the life and testimony of Ron Hamilton. Patch the Pirate did so much during my younger years to direct and point me to The Savior. I know so many others would agree with me when I say, truly, I saw Jesus in you Mr Hamilton. Offering prayers for his family in this time of mixed Joys and Sorrows.

Amen! Patch the Pirate has impacted me so many times through his tapes and watching his videos. Yes, I too see Jesus in Ron Hamilton. I love how that was the last music video he was apart of. It seems to fit him. I believe that "I Saw Jesus in You" and "Rejoice in the Lord" are truly the songs that he has lived up to.
@@mariaalfonsi4746 Parents too are in a way touched by Patch the Pirate. Only when we get to Heaven will we know what impact Ron Hamilton will leave behind! I am thankful that he didn't give up, when he lost his eye to cancer. He could've been mad at God, but he chose to rejoice in the Lord! I am so thankful for his testimony.
Just read the post about Ron’s passing. Ik he was a great man many of the songs I used to sing in Sunday school. The Lord definitely had open arms to him and he is rejoicing with the Lord

This song has a very important message: it's a very important message. At the moment I am facing challenges which try to generate the illusion he wouldn't be in control. In these moments it's important to know who he is and what he has done.
Although I can't understand his ways for my life, he still is my hope. With faith it is possible to resist all attacks. Praise the Lord
Amen! Actually, I am being faced with a challenge myself right now. My uncle was diagnosed with stage 4 liver and pancreatic cancer a month ago, and today my mom got a text (about the same time you commented actually) that her brother's liver was failing, and he had hours to live. She had to buy the shortest tickets and fly out of the state. She's only in her fifties and has lost two siblings and her father, and now this happens. In spite of this, I am confident that God is still in control, and He is still on the throne. He is my Hope, and He is still good. Whatever the outcome, my hope is Jesus. No matter what the outcome, God is Good. That is another song that comes to mind, "God Is Good." Have you heard this one?

@@Stefan50326 Thank you. My uncle did pass away, but God is still faithful, He is my Hope, and He is good. Even though losing my uncle is hard, God's plan is much greater than I can see, and I need to trust Him.
@@biggestpatchthepiratefan Currently, I am preparing a Sermon for Sunday about 1. Samuel 30. When David and his people came to Ziklag and nobody was left, they were in grief, they wept until they had no more power to weep.
Strong warriors, completely destroyed. They had lost what they were fighting for, their families. In Vers 6, they are about to kill David. What is he doing? David strentghed himself in the Lord and asks the Lord for guidance.
After this he and his 600 pursue their enemies and have a battle for 2 days, finally they have victory. They had no sleep at all but God made them able to win.
Don't feel wrong to cry, it shows you had a heart for your uncle. But please, go and strengthen yourself in the Lord our God and continue after some time to fight again.
My heart is with you although I can't see you from Germany. May the Lord bless you. I'll pray for you.

Ron Hamilton has been my favorite singer since I was little. I praise God for him and his family. His music is a blessing for me. I know I'll get to meet him in person someday.

1984 daughter's K5 teacher, orkstrated a Patch The Pirate play.. so sweet.. they sung his song's. Like eatum up. & Yum Yum . Dressed like the characters on his boat . My daughter was lighting . I made it fun , for her . Dressing up like donkey..

Thank you SO much for sharing this video and for going to the trouble to get access to it. How my heart is deeply touched by Brother Ron's testimony and the faithfulness of he and his family. We too lost our oldest son to suicide. The sorrow is incredibly dark and deep but I will continue to praise Jesus my ONLY hope and the light in the darkness. 🙌
