- I have been wanting to make this video for sometime, since Ron Hamilton fell into his deep dementia stage, but never would have thought I would make upon his death. I have taken all of the years of Ron Hamilton singing "Rejoice in the Lord" that I could find on all social media platforms to create a compilation of him singing this song from start to finish. I want this video to be a memorial for Ron Hamilton. He has gone onto Heaven, but his legacy is still here. He is rejoicing in the Lord like never before. I pray this is a blessing to you.

Crying through this beautiful tribute! My kids grew up on Patch the Pirate stories and I have had the privilege of working in our Patch Club for almost 20 years! “Captain Patch” will live on in his stories and songs forever.

This brought me to tears! Even if i didnt meet him personally physically. But I already met him through his songs that he shared for many years. I grew up singing them since I was 8 yrs old.
I wish I could have met him, but like you said I met him through his songs and Patch the Pirate Adventures.

That was my original plan, but God had a different one. I really wanted Ron Hamilton to see this, but the Lord always has a purpose for his timing.
@Jeremiah Hawks brother I personally love how God works in our lives. Non sense things happen to all of us but His plan is perfect, always. I thank the Lord for recordings so I can continue enjoying the songs I grew up with.

God sure knows what He is doing. who knows what Hamilton wouldve done without the cancer, but we know what he did do when he took on the role of Patch the Pirate. How many countless numbers of children came to know the Savior through his ministry. Such a deep and meaningful impact on their lives and our culture. God never moves without purpose or plan, but man, sometimes it's so hard to see at the beginning of our struggles. Thankfully, He knows how it all plays out.

His narration brings me back to my grade school days. My father (a Pastor) always plays his cassette tape every morning with this song.
The death of Ron Hamilton was so sad my mom was devastated and I was pretty sad I am 11 years old and I more interested in patch the pirate now that my mom has played in talk to about it and Let me understand what it's more about and let me listen to it and now I'm just absolutely absolutely obsessed I was absolutely deviated when I found out he died3 days ago!!😭😭😭😭

This song has special meaning, in 1988 I miscarried my 2nd child💔. After leaving the Dr office I listened to this song over & over to comfort my aching soul. I hope my baby can meet Patch the Pirate in heaven. Thru the years Ron influenced me & my 4 daughters with his songs & adventures! 😂

Ron Hamilton and Patch The Pirate have meant so much to my family over the years. My mom didn't grow up in a Christian home, but she had family members who took her to Church when she was younger and she got saved. She had a desire to serve and honor God even with an antagonist home life. Two families in the Church took a special interest in Mom and discipled her. Mom baby sat for one family and they had one of the early Records that were put out. That was Mom's first introduction to Patch The Pirate. She went on to attend Pillsbury Baptist Bible College where she meet my Dad and they are getting ready to celebrate their 35 Wedding Anniversary this month! They have faithfully served the Lord as Church planters for 27 years. Countless hours have been spent listening and being to through Majesty Music..

His ministry has left a deep impact behind on parents and their children alike. So many have been saved, called to the ministry, and kept serving because of Patch the Pirate. Brother Ron Hamilton made a large impact in my life, my Children’s and the friends that would ride in our families mini van to Wednesday & Sunday Church Services. Missed, yet we will see him again and Our Savior , Most of All❤🌈📖🙌

Agreed. He has left a great impact behind. He will probably missed more than any other man of God who has passed away in the past two or three decades.
When my daughter, Erika, was not yet 2, she found a record at Oma's house. We were staying with my parents, while waiting for overseas housing. Erika used to lie in front of Oma's stereo for hours--looking at the album cover, while listening to "Sing Along With Patch The Pirate." We were thrilled to find out that there were other albums available. Patch and friends were with us through our many military moves, both here and abroad. Each kid's Go-Bag had snacks, a mini cassette player, and Patch the Pirate tapes. The kids traveled, slept, and cleaned the playroom with Patch. Our family has loved its way through several collections. My favorite is still Misteslippi. We were able to meet Captain Patch at camp. He spent some time with my son, Max, who was dressed in his own favorite pirate outfit. Youngest son, Will, finally got to meet Captain Patch and became one of his biggest fans. Thank you, Captain Patch, Sissy, and crew, for serving the Savior. We love you, Captain Patch! We will see you very soon!
I, too, was brought up the same way on Patch the Pirate. I did not have the privilege of growing up in the cassette era, even though we did listen to some tapes. I also wish I could have meant him in person, but either way I know him through what he has left behind. Patch the Pirate has influenced many from the record player, cassette player, and the CD player. He has even impacted from TH-cam and will continue to do so even after his death. Praise the Lord!

This was awesome dude, great tribute. i met him in 1984 (on the heels of Patch the Pirate goes west and goes to the Jungle) at our church and still have the picture of all us kids sitting around him.
