In 1986 a guy from our church told us about going to the Philippines and learning about being about missionaries. He told us how open the people were open to the Gospel. Yes, the people were open to the Gospel. We shared the (Good News) Magandang Balita with people. The hardest part of the trip was leaving. I cried because the Lord gave me such a love for the people. Our church shared what happened in the Philippines and shared the song PEOPLE NEED THE LORD. The trip made such an impact on my life, I applied to go to Moody Bible Institute and was accepted. I was 34 years old when I went. I was there for 2 and half years. Yes, the Lord is still at work to those will open their hearts to Him.

I came to the Philippines as a backslider in 1988 to meet a lady penpal and while I was busy planning to get engaged, God met with me in this country, and cancelled my plans. Went back to Uk, sold my business, went to Bible school for 3 years and been pastoring in the Philippines for 32 years now.. Could have really messed my life up early on but God faithfully kept hold of me. I love you Lord!

Hello everyone.. it is December 31, 2023,10:40 pm central time in Texas right now. I woke up from an evening nap earlier and out of nowhere this song came to my mind. It was YEARS ago that I heard it.. so I googled it 😊 I saw the video and wow.. it brought such warmth to my heart! This song needs to be sung again in churches, it is SO fitting for our world right now! New Year 2024 is approaching.. let's pray for people to receive Christ as Lord & Savior this coming year! Steve Green was one of the first Christian music artists I heard after I was saved in 1986. When my husband and I re-did our vows in 1991, our oldest daughter, then 16, sang 'Household of Faith' with her 4 siblings sitting around her. It was awesome. I have it on DVD and love to watch it but I cry because I'm so blessed and it's so beautiful. Why Steve Green didn't "make it bigger" than he did is only for the Lord to know, but that voice (!) and when he sings, "He Holds the Keys", my heart just screams out to the Lord in thanks and praises. Love in Christ my brother, wherever you are, and thank you! Last I saw Steve, he was singing with the Gaithers. He's surely a brother I want to meet in Heaven one day.

Here I am, 6o-something. having to direct this song with the choir tomorrow at my church job. It's cheesy, smarmy, and 40 years old... but it works. His vocal production is quite good, as was Sandy Patti's- church musicians, where did you go wrong... from this to pseudo-rock concerts posing as godly worship??!? Give me orthodox hymns any day.... Ask the Lord to do it today. Tell the Lord you have prayed for your brother for years and remind the Lord that in the Bible it says you (the Lord) will answer my prayer. I had the same trouble with one of my sons and after I said a prayer something like I gave you, within two weeks my son called me and talked for a long time. I could tell the Lords hand was on him. Two weeks after the phone call he moved close by so he could learn from the rest of his family, how to love the Lord.
