  • Hello everyone, in today's episode we had to purchase a new tool for around the farm. A big storm hit, taking some trees and branches down while it was here. We bought a new Ryobi 16" 2 stroke chainsaw from home depot for about $150. Hope you all enjoy the little chainsaw review, and god bless

Oh you would do just fine, nothing to it. I am no expert at all with them. Will be cutting some bigger logs up here soon!

My main saw is a Stihl MS 311.
I have used this Ryobi 16" 37cc saw for my limbing and small cuts (super lightweight, and a good inexpensive little saw for little projects) for over 5 years. Of course, I upgraded this Ryobi to an Oregon bar and chain to make it work well. But I digress. I never expected that this saw would become a staple on my dads property. I did not expect that it would be a little workhorse that would show up every day to limb, chop, and make short work of new growth. I am on my 3rd chain, and (as I explained, go OREGON bars!) my 2nd bar. Learn how to keep your chain sharp, so you are not buying a new chain when what you have just needs a little honing (imagine everyone throwing away their pocket knives, instead of sharpening them correctly).
Whatever saw you choose to take home, just remember the mantra of wise men everywhere.
'She is a fickle bitch. You have to learn just what she wants. Just what she needs, even if she will never articulate that fact to you. Use your Zen power, and figure out what she needs to be happy and grind hard. She will never tell you, so you had better figure that out for yourself. If you can unlock that mystery, she will stay by your side forever, and never let you down'.

You may want to adjust the carburetor it's running lean and that means not enough lubrication to the piston and crankshaft bearings! Love your safety shorts and clogs nice!!!

Yes it’s pretty decent. I’m sure it’s no stihl but it works. I love all my other ryobi power tools

It cuts 8 trees from 30ft to 60 ft. Runs strong. Chain gets loose time to time and need to be readjusted.

Hello, Chris Clever sent me over. So I came by to watch your videos. Yes, we had a lot of rain here today also. I guess Ida left her calling cards to a lot of folks. I just had a few trees removed in our backyard, and the chain saw they had was awesome. Well it works!! lol Oh, I love the sound of animals on a farm! Enjoy your new tool. Thanks for the review.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Chris is an amazing person. I will sure be getting my money’s worth out of it this year. I don’t know if there are more than 5 videos on our channel without farm animal sounds lol. Hope you enjoy

The Premix is fantastic if you don't want to be rebuilding carbs all the time.

If im not mistaken premix has a longer shelf life than doing it manually.. it's an easy go to if you dont use small 2 strokes often. I usually get it but when I ran out last time i mixed my own and added a splash of stabil.. Either way is fine and the only reason ove mixed my own is because I have three of the 2oz oil packets that came with my chainsaw and 2 weed eaters and I happen to have a 1 gallon gas can..
