Thanks for the video, Im from Puerto Rico my husband use to be my handyman in house and yard but now he is sick so Im learning how to use the Ryobi chain saw to cut some palm trees that are already laying in our yard . I cut them off with a small machete but to cut them in pieces I went to Home Depot and the Ryobi 18".
Now... My plan is with the help of your videos learn to use it safetly and cut that palm trees in many pieces that can be able to move them in a carretilla.😊 Thanks dude.

BOught an Echo 20 inch CS 590 Chainsaw for 422 dollars and it did not even start. Did everything like remove spark plug, prime, clean, choke and watched 5 of 6 videos to see if problem could be fixed. But no. Those chainsaws are notorious for not starting and are temperamental. So I returned it and bought this Ryobi 18 in 37 CC saw. It started on my first try. Will see tomorrow how well it cuts through wood.

Working at a home depot right now. Tool rentals. Saw it be returned full of fuel almost brand new. Couldn't see a spek of dust or wood on it. CS asked me to test it and empty the fuel.
I had NEVER seen a ryobi gas powered tool. Took a bit of convincing to start it up but once it did it seemed to work just fine. Couldn't believe that a battery tool brand was making a gas chainsaw, and this affordable ! Almost bought it myself.

I picked up a 38cc version like brand new at my local pawn shop for $100 out the door and I’m thoroughly impressed for $100. Someone put on an aftermarket 20 inch bar and it looks to have been used once. For the light work I’m doing around my house it’s more than sufficient. Cranks right up, first or second pull. Put in some fuel stabilizer and she runs great.

I just got the 16" version today as I dont have a gas one. Had an electric one living in CA but now im in TN and have land. After having my newphews buddy cut a couple dead trees for me i figured i need one to cut it into pieces etc. Mine was $159 while the 18" was $199 and hopefully serves me well. Started up first time after about 4 pulls and once warmed up starts 1st pull. This is my 1st gas chainsaw.
I also looked at the 42cc craftsman but for $10 more, not in stock and no case this was a no brainer in that price range.

At beginning I bought 14" Ryobi chainsaw but after working in putting down trees in back yard decided to upgrade with Powercare PC 18" Y62 bar and chain combo for 37$ in Home Depot. The engine size the same on Ryobi 14", 16", and 18". So it's all good. The chain from Powercare so much better stays sharp for long time and longer blade 18". It so much better and comfortable and I like that saw is lightweight and pretty powerful

Hey! I've been using my Ryobi 14" RY3714 and it is a tough little saw. Developing a small firewood business.I am 62 and use it daily. It was YT Videos that taught me how to sharpen my chain and additional necessary knowledge. I could use the extra 4" of reach so that Power Care Combo sounds good. I clean it thoroughly after every use. I paid $139 for mine plus TruFuel and Bar & Chain Oil. Home Depot. Been seriously considering the 20". This saw is badass. If this saw was designed for occasional use, I've gone way past that! Thanks for the Intel on the Power Care Combo!

@@jamespeterson9159 You are welcome! I surprised about Powercare quality. I didn't expect much from it because it was cheaper than any other brand. Although Ryobi chainsaw is not listed on Powercare case it fits perfectly an I was able to cut big diameter trees and easy to reach as you mentioned. I was thinking just to give away all the wood from trees and I have to put many more down as I want to expand backyard. You have mentioned that selling firewood. Do you prepare it using log splitter or just cut short and make bunch of small diameters? I have plans to burn small branches and need to do something about bigger diameter logs

With this Ryobi Series, the 14/16/18 use the same power head so essentially you have options. Mine originally was the RY3714 but now wears a 16" bar with semi-chisel chain. I will be grabbing a 18" bar/chain combo soon. Mine literally sees daily use. Maintenance is the key. Grab yourself some wedges from Home Depot or K&H so ya don't get your bar pinched. Mine has continually given good service.

Ryobi I believe is the fastest easiest to start of all your two cycle engines. I use one ryobi weed wacker and one straight pole weed eater and use a ryobi 16 inch 37 cc. Let me start with the ryobi weed eater and weed wacker (same 2 cycle power heads), over the last 5 years I have had to torture the two to death in my horrible large back yard and by miracle they are still like new, and I mean I have been mean with them! Taking down bamboo shoots and even knocking off small limbs with the weed wacker. The 37 cc 16 inch chain saw is tough and I am using it to break down many logs left over from a huge pecan tree and huge hucklberry tree I had to pay 1200 dollars to have cut down three years ago. Now you cant use these ryobi chain saws if youre in the business, but will need at least a 62 cc and if I were in the business I would use a stihl 20 inch to 28 inch for commerical. I hope I helped and the man in the video helped us too

@@HighRidgeHandyman Exactly my point. Not everyone watching are experienced such as yourself and myself. If you are going to do a demo, maybe you should enlighten those not as experienced and let them know they should read the safety precautions and let them know that an 18" bar is sufficient for a 20" tree. I'm 68 years old and have the very first chainsaw I bought when I came home in 1976. It's a 42" that I still use it almost everyday cutting down cedars and Oaks here in Stone County Missouri . I wouldn't use it to fell saplings just as I wouldn't use an 18" to fell a 30". When newcomers see your video, they may think "hey, he took that thing off the end, I guess I can too". Last week, I fell a 31" white oak but I didn't make a video of it using a 28" bar, (because I didn't use a 28" bar. Ya see my point. If you're gonna make a video, state a disclaimer that what you are doing isn't for beginners. People think they can get on TH-cam and learn shit so then they go out and try it for the first time and suddenly they think they're experts. Next thing you know, they done smashed their truck, house or kid.
