    Hi Ruksana, thank you very much for your walkthrough videos, very helpful. Do you have like a template for the accommodation letter from parents

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, sorry I don't have a template. My parents introduced themselves in the letter, said that they are the property owners and that I have lived with them at the address since... They also mentioned that they and others living in the house will welcome my husband and we can stay as long as we need bills and rent free. They described a little bit about the house (how many rooms, who else lives there) and said that it will not be overcrowded even when my husband joins. Also mentioned what documents they were providing me with as proof of accommodation (mortgage statement, bills and environmental health report).

    Thanks

    • @RuksanaAhmed

      Hi Madia,
      I normally charge for an outline. But I think as long as your sister can write a letter to say that she is happy for your husband to move into the property, then that’s all she needs to show. You just need to make her sound excited about him joining you lol

    Thanks Ruks , I appreciate your hard work for the articulate information, When we providing proof of address that we lived together is must be for the last two year or only the last six months and also is it must be 6 each if it’s not joint ?

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiya, so if this is your extension visa then yes you want to provide documents covering he last 2 years proving that you have lived together over that period of time. If you have nothing in joint names then 6 in each name is plenty. So you could 3 documents from each year each person if that makes sense.

    Hi Ruksana, first of all thank you for your information's about the application process and also I wanted to ask if I need a environmental health inspection if my land lord mentions about we living in a 3 bed house including my mother in law and my brother in law.

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, there is a mandatory section and an optional section and the environmental health report does fall under the "optional documents". However, it is something that I would provide as they made such a big deal of providing one on the first application and I think that any solicitor would advise you to do the same. It helps prove that there is no overcrowding in the house and therefore a safe, liveable environment. It's worth spending the £60-£120 then facing an appeal and losing £1000s

    Hi thank you for the video.
    Me and my husband has some joint letters and some separate letters and we have also rented at 2 different addresses. If we have 3 joint do we need to provide 3 separate ones? Also do the letters need to cover each for 2 last years? Or can they be random months e.g. one in march one in july one in october thank you x

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiya, yeah so you need 6 letters in each name so if you have 3 joint then 3 separate covers you for that. They need to be for the last 2 years prior to application so if it was me, I would try to provide 3 from 2020 and 3 from 2021 and try and space the months out a bit, like you said, maybe one from March, July and October and then maybe january, may and September or something.
      It doesn’t have to be those months exactly and I wouldn’t stress too much if a couple of your months are close together. Also, don’t worry about making sure you have an October one and your spouse has an October one as well. Just pick random months, they can be the same or different, it doesn’t matter

      Hey, apologies for the late reply, not sure if you still need my help. If you are still living in the same property and it's just you and your husband/kids then just make sure the one that you already have states that it is large enough for you all to live there and it should be fine. There should be a section that says how many people each room sleeps.

  • @rasalahmed3143
    @rasalahmed3143 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello thanks for the walkthrough vids. Extremely helpful!. However, I do have a question. Do I NEED to provide 6 each of letters? My wife doesn't get many letters. The last letter she got was in 2020 from the NHS. We don't really have old letters. But perhaps we can get some for this year.

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think it says 6 specifically but they do want to see letters in each of your names over the last 2 years to prove that you have been living at the same address during that time. The letters don't have to be individual, they can be joint so say you have 4 letters in joint names then you can provide 2 more in her name and 2 more in your name to make it 6 each.

I have been getting and scanned for every month.

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I supply just a few months here and there. Maybe one each from 2021, two from 2022 and one from this year. That’s should be plenty of proof. Do letters from different companies as well or it’ll look like you’re only providing the companies you have the same address at

      Hi, I didn't use a website. My mum was recommended someone in our area that does it. But you can just google it and a few companies in your area should come up which you can call around. Ours cost us £60 but you could be looking to pay up to £100 depending on where you live. I wouldn't expect it to cosy any more than that.

Can I use the same title deeds for this visa or do I need to provide a newly ordered one? Thanks again for all your help and advice

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it is technically and optional document so perhaps you can provide the old one but I like to go that little bit further and if it was me, I would provide a new one because a lot could have changed between then and now and how do they know that you haven't sold the property, I wouldn't stress too much over it though because your correspondence letters will all be addressed to that address, all your bills will be to that address so surely you won't have all that correspondence sent there if you have sold it.

      Yeah deffo, we just didn’t have any joint so just see them all individual. It is better to have them joint I think. Provide them from as many different sources as possible cuz otherwise they may get suspicious and wonder why you only provided one or two...are you really living at different addresses but kept one or two company addresses the same to make it look like you are together? • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, when we applied for my sister in law, we used the same report from the first application as it was still the same property. At the time it was just her, her husband and son living in the property but the measurements suggested 3.5 people could live their (ie a baby) so even though they had a new addition to the family, the visa was approved using the old report. Just make sure to write a covert letter explaining why you didn’t get a new one. That’s what we did for her.

I called my housing association and they said they do not provide anything for immigration purposes, not even a letter to say my husband is living with me. I only have my tenancy agreement and correspondence letters in my husbands name to prove he has been living here with me. How will I complete the residence part online about landlord ID etc if my council housing refuses to get involved? I'm stuck and anxious. Hoping someone can advise me...thanks!

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, yes this is a tricky one for me as I have no experience with council accommodation. From what I have understood it is fine for your spouse to live with you in your council property. I guess you just provide all the documents related to it even if it is all in your name just like I did for our mortgage and bills which is all in my name. Just don't include their name on it because it will mean they are then claiming public funds which will hinder the application in the future. But please double check this as I am not sure. Wish I could be more help but I hope you do find the answer. Best of luck!

      Utility bills need to be the most recent. Not all companies provide monthly statements. Some provide them every 3 months/quarterly so just the most recent is fine. As for proof of address you need to provide letters from over the past 2 years so these don't need to be from the last 28 days.

We have bought a house last year in May, we have the completion letters from solicitors which also confirms there is a delay of up to 14 months for the land registry. it has only been 12 months and yet there is further delay. So do you think the completion letters and help to buy would be enough - so this will be proof of 1 year at this new address. and teh other 1.5 years we lived at my parents house - I was thinking of getting a letter from my mom confirming we lived at their address for that period - I have some correpondance letters from that address too whcih i can add to file -do you think i should get the land registry for my parents property or thats something extra and not required. Please kindly suggest what you would have included in this scenario.

    Hi,
    Can you please confirm exactly how many letters to provide for each person for each year as I’m a bit confused,
    Like for example the years; 2020, 2021,2022 and 2023? (Individual names on letters)
    Is council tax necessary for each year if not available for all ?

    • @RuksanaAhmed
      @RuksanaAhmed  ปีที่แล้ว

      You need 6 letters per person over the last 2 years so between may 2021-May 2023 if you were submitting this month.
      The 6 letter can be 6 in your name only and 6 in her name only which makes 12 letters in total.
      Or they can be 6 letters with both your names on them so then you only need to provide 6 total
      Or if you have few letters with just your/ her names only and a few letters in both names you can mix (eg. 2 letters in joint names and then 4 in just your name, 4 in just spouses name. As long as each persons name appears on 6 different letters it’s fine. But yeah, you only need it to cover 2 years, I made sure to add one for each of us from after he arrived in the uk which was just extra.
      A council tax for each year isn’t necessary. Just have the most recent one as the one you submit under accommodation documents and the older one as part of residential documents as a correspondence letter but try to provide a mix of companies/letter for that

They will see from the address on your letters and your partner’s that your have both lived at the same address over that time.

      2. Scan all your documents and then take the originals to the biometric appointment in case they want to see them. Don't send any documents.
