I'm a business owner and employee so had a tonne more documents to submit compared to the usual 6 months payslip route but it all came back positive. Took my time, watched your videos and trawled immigration forums. I paid for priority and had a response within 5 weeks and now have my wife from Bangladesh with me here in the UK ! Hello sister thank you, for ur help can I please ask in family route section when it’s say dose the applicant have Childrens 18 years or under do we need to say yes or no, as me and my partner have one child who is born in uk after my first visa. He is British citizen
@@ahmadullahahmadi6995 i was quite confused too, i’m currently doing my application and my baby is 2 months so i have pressed Yes. It will then say if this child is added in this visa application i then pressed “No” and they will ask you why, i have said my child was born here in the uk and they are a british citizen. They will then ask you details of the child and where they are born so it will make sense after. Hope that helps.

Hi Ruksana, thank you for taking the time to put out such a detailed and informative video. My wife is Indonesian and I’m Scottish…we had my wife’s first visa processed using ‘Citizens Advice’s immigration department. They did a good job but the fee was £900….eek!!! And, we still had to to gather all the the information. We need to start her extension application shortly and will definitely do it ourselves this time.
£900!! That’s the same as a solicitor. I thought citizen’s advice was free advice, that they just give you information, didn’t realise they had such services. None of them around us are ever open so I’ve never been. Unfortunately gathering all the information is always going to be on you whether you do it through a solicitor or not but at least when you get the help, you know that whatever you are submitting will be enough evidence. Whereas when I did it on my own I was never sure if it was. You pay mainly for that and for them to help with the form. It’s crazy how much it is!! That on top of the already extortionate fees for the visa and IHS 😰 I think you’ll deffo be able to do it on your own next time. You already have an idea of what sorts of documents you need to collect as well. Best of luck!! 🍀

Can you believe this, I submitted my application on the 19/02/22 and attended the biometric appointment on the 12/03/22 and in four days that’s 16/03/22, I received an email from home office that my application has been successful. Because the spouse visa is known actually called "family of a settled person visa" and if you remember back to the first application form, the first couple of questions on there were regarding the type of visa you are applying for and we chose "settlement, settlement, husband" as our answers

He did the IELTS B1 test which is the highest level. A2 is enough for the extension and if the applicant isn’t as confident with their English yet, that is the one I would recommend

Hi Ruksana. Thankyou sooooo much for this. You really helped with husbands visa extension. Saved us £780 solicitor fee. And all he was going to do was fill out the application on husbands behalf. We never knew how easy the application form is. It even gives details in each section what we need to submit. We made a file and had everything scanned at the biometrics £79 and they did the biometrics n the scanning. All sent over and hubby got his extension. I wouldn't have known how easy it was if hadn't seen you video. Thankyou again xx

Wassalams brother, we went with the normal service. We receieved the BRP card 2 weeks after the biometric appointment. At the end of the application, it said it can take upto 2 months for the home office to respond. So not sure if it was quick for our application or whether they are now responding to everyone in a similar time frame. Hope this helps.

It is better for you to call them and speak to them directly. You will only get a generic reply if you email them and it may not answer your question properly. It is a waste of time and money.

35:30, you answered "No" but I believe this is incorrect. If you read the question again, you will see it is asking if this is the first time you are applying for a partner route OR if this is the first time you are applying for an extension. As this is the first time you are applying for an extension, you should of answered "YES" to this question.
Maybe you’re right. As I say in the video it’s not my first application of the partner route hence me ticking no but we had a successful application either way

Personally, I have seen people's applications be rejected if they have not provided additional documents as someone who works in a family business. You need to provide more than just wage slips and an employment letter. You need to provide documents as though you own that company yourself. Even though you father sold the company, he still owned it in the first month you will be showing therefore I would provide all the information he had whilst he had the company as well as a documents showing that the business was sold.
My husband decided to hire a solicitor to apply for our extension visa. And after watching your vdo I was confident enough to apply by ourselves. And guess what? We’ve got our extension visa today 😊. Hey, yeah the visa won’t actually be called fiancé visa. The spouse visa isn’t really called spouse visa either but everyone knows which visa it is. Write what it says, that’s what I do. I’m not 100% sure but I think you fill out the same extension visa as I did because you’re extending the fiancé visa but it’s best to get that double checked.

Hi Ruksana , just want to say a big thank you for this vid. My wife had her biometric appointment on 10th August and her visa was approved on the 06th September, without the fast track. Our circumstances were that we are living with my parents and have no utility bills in our name. Instead, we got a letter from my father stating our household arrangement in that the parents pay the utility bills and me and my partner cover household shopping bills including food and maintenance of the house. I also included hotel receipts of various family functions/days out combined with pictures. Additionally I included mine and my wife’s Ebay purchase history covering 2 years showing various items purchased. The bank statement showed my parents addresss which cross referenced the ebay purchases. I’m enjoying the updates of your growing family. Looking forward to your next video !!

Hi, I actually hid what I put in that section cuz I don’t want people just copying mine. You can put anything you want in that box. Really have a think about what reasons there are apart from your spouse for you wanting to live in the U.K. like have you got a job maybe? Started a career here? Do you have other family members that also live here…want to be closer to your wife’s family for whatever reasons, maybe her parents are more vulnerable than yours. Anything like that

Hi, apologies for the late reply. Not sure if you still need my help. Non-salaried income is anyone who is on an hourly rate. If you have both been in your jobs for at least 6 months then start by adding your most recent 6 months of gross income together, divide them by 6 to get the average and then multiply by 12 for your gross annual income. Do the same with your husband's and then add them together. As long as that figure is above £18,600, you meet the financial requirements.

Just wanted to ask you how or where did you find your home office reference number as I have found one on home office letter but it doesn't start with GWF as she mentioned in video, it starts with UKVI. please rply this msg if you have any idea. That would be for this application. In form they asking if we have previous home office reference number i guess that is when we applied for spouse visa to come in UK

I followed your videos for the initial application to bring my wife over from the US in 2019 and we were successful and we have just received the confirmation of the visa extension being successful as well. We followed your videos exactly and got a decision very quickly. Hi, this video has been really helpful i just have a a few questions if thats okay! "Is the account with a bank or utility company for which you have supplied information and supporting documentation held jointly by you or other people" I dont fully understand, does this mean if we have an eleciticty bill or water bill in our name that we should select yes? As its joint on both of our names? The second part about financial support i guess would be to help pay bills? She has a full time job and we split everything Also, my wife is on a graduate visa and we are applying for FLR M as shes already in the UK. As we have only moved in recently our council tax is still pending to add me to the bill (british citizen). Shoild i just mention in a cover letter that its not been updated yet etc? Hi, Apologies for the late reply. You probably don't need my help anymore. I think the question about the bank accounts and utility bills being in joint names is with regards to the bank account that you are using to prove your financial documents and the bills being used as proof of residence. Whether either of them are in joint names or not. Don't worry if there are things that are not in joint names, it really doesn't matter. My husband and I don't have anything in joint names, never have. Not even anything related to our home. You do not need to provide a letter explaining any of that. As long as you have 6 letter with your name on it and 6 with hers over the past 2 years. So say you have 5 in joint names, council tax in her name then you'll need another letter in your name and that's 6 total. Plus the most recent council tax would not be used as part of your correspondence letters.
Hi, really sorry for the late reply. I just used the reference number we were given when we made the first visa application. If you still have your old online application or if you have any letter/emails from UKVI, it should have your GWF reference number on there.

Followed your original videos and it helped immensely. Didn't use a solicitor. I'm a business owner and employee so had a tonne more documents to submit compared to the usual 6 months payslip route but it all came back positive. Took my time, watched your videos and trawled immigration forums. I paid for priority and had a response within 5 weeks and now have my wife from Bangladesh with me here in the UK ! Hi, I’m not sure exactly what documents you need to provide but you will need to show 12 months worth of income when self employed.

Hello sister thank you, for ur help can I please ask in family route section when it’s say dose the applicant have Childrens 18 years or under do we need to say yes or no, as me and my partner have one child who is born in uk after my first visa. He is British citizen
@@ahmadullahahmadi6995 i was quite confused too, i’m currently doing my application and my baby is 2 months so i have pressed Yes. It will then say if this child is added in this visa application i then pressed “No” and they will ask you why, i have said my child was born here in the uk and they are a british citizen. They will then ask you details of the child and where they are born so it will make sense after.

Hi Ruksana, thank you for taking the time to put out such a detailed and informative video. My wife is Indonesian and I’m Scottish…we had my wife’s first visa processed using ‘Citizens Advice’s immigration department. They did a good job but the fee was £900….eek!!! And, we still had to to gather all the the information. We need to start her extension application shortly and will definitely do it ourselves this time.
£900!! That’s the same as a solicitor. I thought citizen’s advice was free advice, that they just give you information, didn’t realise they had such services. None of them around us are ever open so I’ve never been.
Unfortunately gathering all the information is always going to be on you whether you do it through a solicitor or not but at least when you get the help, you know that whatever you are submitting will be enough evidence. Whereas when I did it on my own I was never sure if it was. You pay mainly for that and for them to help with the form. It’s crazy how much it is!! That on top of the already extortionate fees for the visa and IHS 😰
I think you’ll deffo be able to do it on your own next time. You already have an idea of what sorts of documents you need to collect as well. Best of luck!! 🍀

Because the spouse visa is known actually called "family of a settled person visa" and if you remember back to the first application form, the first couple of questions on there were regarding the type of visa you are applying for and we chose "settlement, settlement, husband" as our answers

He did the IELTS B1 test which is the highest level. A2 is enough for the extension and if the applicant isn’t as confident with their English yet, that is the one I would recommend

Hi Ruksana. Thankyou sooooo much for this. You really helped with husbands visa extension. Saved us £780 solicitor fee. And all he was going to do was fill out the application on husbands behalf. We never knew how easy the application form is. It even gives details in each section what we need to submit. We made a file and had everything scanned at the biometrics £79 and they did the biometrics n the scanning. All sent over and hubby got his extension. I wouldn't have known how easy it was if hadn't seen you video. Thankyou again xx

Aww it’s true, a solicitor is really not needed, if you’re willing to put the time and effort in then you can easily save yourself a good chunk of money. Any saving is helpful, especially with how expensive all the fees are!

Wassalams brother, we went with the normal service. We receieved the BRP card 2 weeks after the biometric appointment. At the end of the application, it said it can take upto 2 months for the home office to respond. So not sure if it was quick for our application or whether they are now responding to everyone in a similar time frame. Hope this helps.

It is better for you to call them and speak to them directly. You will only get a generic reply if you email them and it may not answer your question properly. It is a waste of time and money.

35:30, you answered "No" but I believe this is incorrect. If you read the question again, you will see it is asking if this is the first time you are applying for a partner route OR if this is the first time you are applying for an extension. As this is the first time you are applying for an extension, you should of answered "YES" to this question.
Maybe you’re right. As I say in the video it’s not my first application of the partner route hence me ticking no but we had a successful application either way

In finance where it says are they a director of ltd company ? At 55:23 so my question is my father own the business but he sold his business 5 months ago so do i still need business documents for FLRm?
Personally, I have seen people's applications be rejected if they have not provided additional documents as someone who works in a family business. You need to provide more than just wage slips and an employment letter. You need to provide documents as though you own that company yourself. Even though you father sold the company, he still owned it in the first month you will be showing therefore I would provide all the information he had whilst he had the company as well as a documents showing that the business was sold.
My husband decided to hire a solicitor to apply for our extension visa. And after watching your vdo I was confident enough to apply by ourselves. And guess what? We’ve got our extension visa today 😊. Hey, yeah the visa won’t actually be called fiancé visa. The spouse visa isn’t really called spouse visa either but everyone knows which visa it is. Write what it says, that’s what I do.
I’m not 100% sure but I think you fill out the same extension visa as I did because you’re extending the fiancé visa but it’s best to get that double checked.

Hi Ruksana , just want to say a big thank you for this vid. My wife had her biometric appointment on 10th August and her visa was approved on the 06th September, without the fast track.
Our circumstances were that we are living with my parents and have no utility bills in our name.
Instead, we got a letter from my father stating our household arrangement in that the parents pay the utility bills and me and my partner cover household shopping bills including food and maintenance of the house. I also included hotel receipts of various family functions/days out combined with pictures.
Additionally I included mine and my wife’s Ebay purchase history covering 2 years showing various items purchased. The bank statement showed my parents addresss which cross referenced the ebay purchases. I’m enjoying the updates of your growing family. Looking forward to your next video !!

Hi, I actually hid what I put in that section cuz I don’t want people just copying mine. You can put anything you want in that box. Really have a think about what reasons there are apart from your spouse for you wanting to live in the U.K. like have you got a job maybe? Started a career here? Do you have other family members that also live here…want to be closer to your wife’s family for whatever reasons, maybe her parents are more vulnerable than yours. Anything like that

Hi, apologies for the late reply. Not sure if you still need my help. Non-salaried income is anyone who is on an hourly rate. If you have both been in your jobs for at least 6 months then start by adding your most recent 6 months of gross income together, divide them by 6 to get the average and then multiply by 12 for your gross annual income. Do the same with your husband's and then add them together. As long as that figure is above £18,600, you meet the financial requirements.

My biometric appointment was on 14-08-23 and yesterday on 23-09-23 I got the approval mail from home office. I was able to get my application done without any solicitor. Just wanted to ask you how or where did you find your home office reference number as I have found one on home office letter but it doesn't start with GWF as she mentioned in video, it starts with UKVI. please rply this msg if you have any idea. You will get reference number once you submit the application and paid for health charges and application fees
That would be for this application. In form they asking if we have previous home office reference number i guess that is when we applied for spouse visa to come in UK

It may be the UKVI reference. The GWF was from the old forms we filled back in 2018. A lot has changed since then.

Thank you again for all the videos for the visa extension. I followed your videos for the initial application to bring my wife over from the US in 2019 and we were successful and we have just received the confirmation of the visa extension being successful as well. We followed your videos exactly and got a decision very quickly. We submitted our online application on 15th April, had the biometrics appointment on 5th May and received a decision on 20th May and we hadn't paid for priority, so very surprised to hear back so quickly!

The dates on all the documents need to be before the application date but you upload them after the application is complete.

I dont fully understand, does this mean if we have an eleciticty bill or water bill in our name that we should select yes? As its joint on both of our names? The second part about financial support i guess would be to help pay bills? She has a full time job and we split everything
Also, my wife is on a graduate visa and we are applying for FLR M as shes already in the UK. As we have only moved in recently our council tax is still pending to add me to the bill (british citizen). Shoild i just mention in a cover letter that its not been updated yet etc?

Hi, Apologies for the late reply. You probably don't need my help anymore.
I think the question about the bank accounts and utility bills being in joint names is with regards to the bank account that you are using to prove your financial documents and the bills being used as proof of residence. Whether either of them are in joint names or not.
Don't worry if there are things that are not in joint names, it really doesn't matter. My husband and I don't have anything in joint names, never have. Not even anything related to our home. You do not need to provide a letter explaining any of that. As long as you have 6 letter with your name on it and 6 with hers over the past 2 years. So say you have 5 in joint names, council tax in her name then you'll need another letter in your name and that's 6 total. Plus the most recent council tax would not be used as part of your correspondence letters.

Hi, really sorry for the late reply. I just used the reference number we were given when we made the first visa application. If you still have your old online application or if you have any letter/emails from UKVI, it should have your GWF reference number on there.
