Huh... Who knew a bow designed for catching lines and punching holes in paper would out shoot a hunting bow... People NEVER believe me when I say a hunting bow is going to have a hard time beating a target bow. Great shoot Dan!
The stock sight tapes that came with my CBE are dead on. After getting it set i dialed it to 80 and punched an 11 on my first shot. I was impressed. We'll see if i find a perfect tape at 75# after I get my mods

Also, being in the military, we bounce around and I have found myself in places where the closest 60+ yard range was 45-60 min away. This shaves a lot of time and miles off the task. When I retire from the service I intend to buy property where I can set up my own range and shoot out to 80 yds at least. Until then, I will use the chrono to save the time and miles.

Before dropping cash on this, it's important to know that if using a single pin target sight, sight marks can only be generated with an additional shot in sight mark. For sliders, this is the absolute bomb way to make sight tapes. Another downside: you have to have 60-70 yards of clear land, free of obstruction, for the radar to properly get speed readings. Trees, shrubs, no go. And you need the archery trigger, an add on. But when this works, it really works.
Hey man, nice job improving your 3d scores, it definitely builds your confidence for hunting. I think you are doing your scoring wrong though. The rinehart targets with the IBO core have a center 11 ring not a 12. The delta McKenzie targets usually have the ASA core with the upper and lower 12 rings that you have to call. Gotta make sure you are speaking the right lingo now that you have a fancy target bow haha
Rather than struggling to read sight tapes I switched to the Trophy Ridge Digital Trio Pro. No it’s not legal in a few states but it’s money in Utah where I live. Love your videos
@@lspostma must be a very new change as I just pulled up a legality map showing Utah is legal. I’ll have to check it further. It’s odd as it’s just a digital version of a sight tape that is much easier to read
My 70 lbs mathews for me at 77 years old is set at 50 lbs. My site tape that came with slider I put on is not very accurate for correct distance. Looking forward to your findings. Thanks from Iowa.
So you shot Easton Axis 4mm LR the whole video but inputted the X10's in the software. X10's were in your quiver during the 3D part. What's the deal here? Are the X10's no good or does the software not work well? Love the content man, keep it up.
I shoot both arrows - both weigh 447 grains Total Arrow Weight, could put either into the system. Pretty much everything in this video works really well. Thanks! -DS
@ElkShape definitely can take some time depending on shooter and there abilitys. My technique though is to get the most yards at one shooting session to give the most accurate representation of your drop. I put on one sight tape in the ball park before shooting just for reference to work off of. I put a horizontal 1" wide line on my target so i only have to worry about the axis that matters for arrow drop and not windage. I shoot in first at 40 yds due to 20 and 30 being too close and will hide human error and not a true representation of that pin. Then i stretch out to 100yds and shoot for the same horizontal line and then measure with the calipers. Its damn near perfect every time due to the spread i shoot at and that i dont mess with 20 or 30 for my close shooting. Maybe 20 mins was a bit of an exaggeration, but seriously less than 1 hr and im good to go. Thats what works for me.
Do you use the nice sticky paper for the sight tapes? And if not how could i mount tapes best at home on regular paper if my printer isnt great. Also is it jus me or does the arrow flight of the Lift look a tiny bit more crisp
**NO MORE SIGHT TAPES !!!** All you need is a Trophy Ridge Digital Scope. (Faster and Cheaper) Sight in the 20. Get your Bow Speed from Omni Arrow Speed Calculator. (Program Bow Speed) Shoot the 40; raise or drop bow speed based on where you hit. DONE !!! and... **NO MORE SIGHT TAPES !!!!** Hope it helps, John

I think the GARMIN is great - in fact for chrono speed at launch, nothing better. The Labradar shined on the down range readings but like I said in the video, it is clunky.

This way of sighting in seems too expensive and time-consuming to be practical. Shooting at 20 and 80 yards has always worked for me just fine.
Agreed! Takes 20 mins or less to have a perfect shot in sight tape.

We do have some folks reporting success doing this. Just gotta be a little careful to not put an arrow through the Garmin! 👍
Labradar is so finicky, had it for two months and was a blessing to get rid of it. Garmin all the way

The arrow speed is too slow for a target/3d bow. Look into Victory 3DHV or V-TAC 23 you should be kissing 290-295 fps.
The bow is going to be my indoor set-up - building an arrow for that at the moment!
Get your self the Garmin Chronograph it’s smaller and you don’t need the microphone. The Garmin is far superior.
