The incident is, the goalie from the LA Kings (team in white), Pheonix Copley got knocked by a guy from the Ducks named Frank something and they got into it and Copley knocked the guy down and got in some punches while he was down. While the refs were separating them, Copley was still hot and wanting to fight, so like a chad, John Gibson slowly moves up to half ice, sent out his taunt, and that’s how we got this masterpiece. @@TickleThatMonkey They're saying in a longer version of the clip someone throws off their gloves, they were saying that part was cut off on this video
This is straight up the climactic scene of a movie centered on the feud between two goalies. The stick slap on the ice, the head nod, the Kings goalie popping up like a man possessed, the ref immediately realizing shit is about to get real, all of it.
The keeper from the red team was slapping his stick at center ice to tell the white teams keeper that it was go time. It was a challenge to fisticuffs.
And specifically because the white teams keeper had gotten involved in a scuffle with the red teammates. So it's generally cause for the opposing keeper to come in a take the other keeper off the mate They tend to prefer matching up their positions for fights.
Basically red boy told him: don’t be a bitch come fight someone your own size. The the white boy only had two options 1. Be a bitch and fight the guys with less padding than him. 2 be a man and fight the guy on the level of padding as him.
Not disrespect. An invitation. Fighting is fun and the goalies only really get to fight each other; players will get brutally assaulted on the ice for touching one of them.

*The Red Paladin has issued a challenge*
“Who wants some?”
Thank you! I’ve been searching the comments for which team was the guy in red. It’s been like almost 10 years since I’ve followed anything hockey related (we moved out of state to another state that doesn’t have hockey).
@@soonmeekim930 Fam I had no idea of any hockey teams here i was just making a joke off the video and it felt right to call him that. But, I went ahead to do some research on this and the red team are the Anaheim Ducks and the goalie is John Gibson. The refs interfered thought so an actual fight didn’t happen but it was cool all the same.
P.S I called him The Red Paladin because the pads look like armor and he held the stick in-front of him like a longsword. And bro had that AURA!!!
Both guys was absolutely cold!
Would have been a fight for the history books
The shrug before dropping his stick was epic
Orange Goalie is John Gibson of the Anaheim Ducks and the charging white goalie is Phoenix Copely of the LA Kings. Looks like Copely caught the penalty
I was at this game, Copley had hit the ducks player dogpiled with the puck blocker in the chest which is why the ref intervened
@@ncrtrooper5895они подрались или нет?
Dont think thats who was playing
Yeah that’s definitely the Calgary flames lol
@@drakebruney5550 on second look, yeah, the comment still has a correct timeline of events but for a different game a while back
The body language man.
The. Slamming of the Goalie Hockey Stick.
That Shrug and Neck adjustment said everything they nedded to initiate.
My man’s pulled up like he was Thanos patiently waiting for the smoke😂
He tapped. He heard the challenge and rose to the occasion. Love it
That slap says "LFG!" in every language.
A taunt is a taunt in any language.
"I have been called; I must answer. Always."
Bro squared up like a space marine with a power sword 🥶
As a non fan of hockey, this is the greatest clip from a hockey game I've ever seen
Gibson's finest 💪🏽💪🏽
And Gibson would have wrecked him too
Gibby!!!! Really wish his time here was more successful.
Optimus Prime calling out Megatron. . . apparently the ref didn’t have popcorn 😂
Other goalie understood the assignment completely 💪🏽💯
He for sure was wit it
He was shouting “Hectorrrrrrr!!!!!!”…😂😂
😂😂😂😂
You cut the best part, he throws his gloves like the main fucking character😂
Can you give me a link or something so I can find this thing, thanks.
@@arizonaranger4843 th-cam.com/video/axiuyk6zqTg/w-d-xo.html
Who throws their gloves? 36? Gibson? No he doesn't. Or you mean Copley in white? He doesn't either? So who threw their gloves?
@@TickleThatMonkey They're saying in a longer version of the clip someone throws off their gloves, they were saying that part was cut off on this video
@@TickleThatMonkey Both do, in the full video. That's the point of his comment. They cut out the best part.
The head tilt was awesome. Calm "come get this ass woopin" moment
No more words. Center ice. Now
Love the slight head tilt. It definitely gives final boss energy!
Both Goalies are some bad mfers. Dude stopped fighting stood up and was like you can get some too
Dark souls music needs to kick in
He’ll ya! Get some of that dramatic ass boss music lol
Doom music
Like an Elden Ring boss, he just waits
"Wassup 🤷🏽♂️" embodied in human form.
This is straight up the climactic scene of a movie centered on the feud between two goalies. The stick slap on the ice, the head nod, the Kings goalie popping up like a man possessed, the ref immediately realizing shit is about to get real, all of it.
The level of calm before the storm displayed by the red goalie is amazing.
I wish I understood the disrespect in this video. Hockey is one game I could get use too..🤙🏾
The keeper from the red team was slapping his stick at center ice to tell the white teams keeper that it was go time. It was a challenge to fisticuffs.
And specifically because the white teams keeper had gotten involved in a scuffle with the red teammates.
So it's generally cause for the opposing keeper to come in a take the other keeper off the mate
They tend to prefer matching up their positions for fights.
Basically red boy told him: don’t be a bitch come fight someone your own size.
The the white boy only had two options
1. Be a bitch and fight the guys with less padding than him.
2 be a man and fight the guy on the level of padding as him.
"There can be only one!" 😂😂😂😂
Not disrespect. An invitation. Fighting is fun and the goalies only really get to fight each other; players will get brutally assaulted on the ice for touching one of them.
The way he tilted his head, threw the stick, and started to move classic manga fight scene
A goalie vs goalie fight is so great. I still remember the moment I realized Vernon vs Roy was actually happening, we were all out of our seats.
White keeper: "finally! A worthy opponent!"
Ref: "nuh uh"
White keeper was such a badsss, got up from the pile to fight...
I don't "Follow" any sport, but I appreciate a special moment, epic or stone cold.
That was kickass , he hit the ice with his stick, gave the shrug, then moved forward for battle
Buddy woke up that morning and chose violence and standing on business... Respect big dawg💪
Crazy that we are in a time where completely pointless violence is being glorified. This is some literal cave man level maturity… imagine being so offended by someone slapping a stick on your logo that you’d crash out 😭😂
@@emers_n5623 read other comments that explain it, it's a kind of tradition and it's pride that's on the line. fighting for pride was always a "man" thing. even if u call it not civil, try playing sports. ego, pride, adrenaline always at play. taunting isn't something to be easily ignored in sports
Love how you see the away tendie pop his head out of the pile 😂 “did I just hear a cal to battle?!”
Right😂😂😂😂. I have never watched a hockey game. Yet that slap was universal and the head pop out like did I just hear what I think I heard crazy😂😂😂❤
Nahhh bro did the *Knight Stance* after slaming his hockey stick on the ice 🗿🗿🗿🗿
"Ice Cold!"
This was bad ass..the way he just rolls up and throws his stick...you know he is good and ready to throw down ❤️❤️❤️
Bro when he threw that stick to the ice, that was the most intimidating thing I think I've seen a man do on TH-cam and a good minute
It wasn't that intimidating, it awoke the beast in the other goalie.
Red team golie summons the white golie for a fight of the champions
"I want to fight. I want to fight now. But you're not worth me coming all the way over there."
That's a goalie fight. They're not allowed to cross center ice, so he waited there and laid down the challenge, which the other team's goalie accepted. He tried to come meet him in the middle.
@@Goomsies he tried, but the refs headed them both off, and the white jerseyed goalie ended up catching a 5 minute penalty for the fight he was wrapped up in when his counterpart came slapping.
Dude wanted all that smoke.
Respect
Darth maul vibes
Depending what happens next.
Garen tauning his opponent.
*Drops sword, starts dancing
The slam, the head gesture, just waiting there…this is guts vs an army from berserk type shi😭
nah, rules are simple, goalies fight eachother only, if you go in on a goalie, and you're not a goalie, whole damn team rushes your ass. that challenge was for the other goalie alone.
Goalie is the most padded dude. Quite literally the tank.
*steps through the fog wall*
"Good, now its a fair fight."
"3 on 1?"
"It's a fair fight now."
When both goalies get involved you know it's a brouhaha 💪😂
A kerfuffel😅😅
Red bro did the legit Tank Taunt.
Damn I wish I could have seen him from the front instead of the back!😂

Former Zamboni driver here:
I remember back in the day (not sure about now) the only person who could fight a goalie us another goalie. If you are NOT a goalie and you hit one it was typically a bench clearing event that would cause total chaos. That's noise of a goalie slamming his stick is very distinct and loud. Another one is a when they hit the net (post) with it. Everyone is subject to the potential disapproval of a goalie even the Zamboni driver lol.
When the popular kid steps in to back you up
Very true
The popular kid is usually the bully. It's more like when tough loner everyone is scared of steps in
the standing on business drop at that moment was great editing
You know, business just got real when the goalkeeper leaves his post. The ultimate tank.
bro stood there like a Souls Protaganist after beating the game.
Bro looks like an elden ring boss
Love how he put out the challenge, then just waited.....
"You ready, Bro? Im right here!"
