It really hits hard seeing a reunion like this only get 28k views in two days. The series deserves so much better, such amazing cast and I hope this isn't the last time we see them together...
Lori’s voice and voice acting makes you understand why individuals in the series felt this uncanny, overwhelming and endearing charisma about her. It’s just perfect and nobody else can duplicate it.
36:17 Josh Keaton messed up... Kojima wrote that Ocelot used revolvers after Naked Snake suggested it: "Besides, I don't think you're cut out for an automatic in the first place; you tend to twist your elbow a little to absorb the recoil. That's more of a revolver technique." This is also the first time you get to hear Snake say "you're pretty good" chronologically. I played this game way too much as a kid/teen.
Thing is, you can't blame Josh for not remembering a game he'd have recorded almost 20 years ago, especially not when you take into account the amount of games he's worked on, but the fan who asked that question should have remembered that scene, especially if they're a fan of Josh Keaton's performance.
I think he had a good take on why he KEPT using revolvers. He had a spaghetti western fetish and he liked the challenge and the thrill of using old timey weapons.

Time flies indeed. It felt like MGS1 was released a decade ago while, in reality, it's been 22 years since it's release no less. Anyway, it's good to see the voice actors together reminiscing their work on this masterpiece of a series.
A couple years back, my brother went on Cameo and requested/paid for David Hayter to wish me a happy birthday and to encourage me to keep pursuing my dreams. He did the whole thing as Solid Snake. Best birthday present ever.
Let me tell you something about Metal Gear Solid 2: That game came out during a period of my life where I was bullied ruthlessly, I was exceptionally depressed, I had turned to starving myself in an attempt to lose weight because people made me feel like I was worthless, and I had suicidal thoughts on a regular basis. Metal Gear Solid 2 gave me a way to escape from that hell, and opened up a world that I felt like I could have some sort of control over (which is ironic, considering the nature of the story) and all of that staved off my negativity just enough to get through the day. When everyone said that they hated Raiden, I resonated with him as a character because he was the underdog, it felt to me like he had to fight for validation, something which I too felt like I had to do too. I was already a huge fan of the series by that point, but losing myself in Metal Gear Solid 2 gave me just enough of what I needed to get me through some of the darkest times in my life. So for that, I feel extremely indebted to everyone involved with it, and to Kojima for having the vision that he was able to realise.

when david starting talking i thought it was christopher speaking, why does he sound like Otacon lol. I never knew they recorded their lines in the same room together, most game studios record everyone separately unless they're doing mocap work
I smiled so big when Josh said "pretty good". This was awesome. Thank you so much host and David for this voice actor reunion of the greatest game of all time.
We REALLY need to have an MGS Remake! The reason FF7 got a remake because the creators are getting older and they won't have the chance again if they keep delaying it. We now have remakes of Resident Evil 2 and FF7. The only missing is the MGS to complete the childhood game trinity!
This amazing group here is the reason why I felt in love with video games. No one has been able to duplicate the magic of the MGS cast. Thank you everyone.
Agreed, but the Boss would've been shit canned by certain people if the game came out today. "Ugh, she looks like a dude. Why does she have to emasculate every man she meets by beating them up? You mean to tell me a pregnant woman fought on the beaches of Normandy?? This franchise has gone full woke feminazi" etc, etc.
Jeff: "Do you think MGS4 ending was a fitting end for Solid Snake and Big Boss" David: "........." MGS Crew: "He's thinking about it!" David: "......kept you waiting, huh?"
Thank you to all involved for taking the time to do this. This series means so much to me, and you are all such wonderfully talented people! I hope that panels like this can enlighten the "bastards with the money" to handle the MGS franchise with respect moving forward.
He actually voices the Jedi Knight character in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and he uses his real voice. I didn’t realize it was him until like a couple hours in when he said a line and his voice dipped into that “Snake growl” and then it clicked.
He was originally going to use his own voice for Snake, but, after reading the script, he decided that someone so battle-weary, who had been pulled out of retirement, should sound more gravelly, and that turned into the Snake we know. Hayter talks about it toward the beginning of the interview.
Can't believe you got Lori Alan for this. Thank you so much! She is prob, to this date, one of my favourite villains/mentors in gaming. Also female characters in media overall.
And (t)here is me, a child that played the game so many times I could('ve) narrate(d) it word for word even after twenty three years. Those voice actors gave the game a breath of life, and a piece of that life will forever remain with me. With us, oh so many.
That would be cool. I remember that a few years ago two of the English dub Vegeta actors and the Japanese actor for Vegeta did a panel together. Maybe when the movie comes out, the Snakes can hold a panel together.
David is probably still a bit raw about how the recasting went down (understandably) and Kiefer has like zero interest in this franchise. I don't think that'll happen.
All I can say is thank you to this group of amazing actors. You will never truly know how important your work has been and how much you have shaped this industry.
The sniper wolf question seems weird. Her chest is kinda visible during the first fight, which is in the base, outdoors but with way less wind, but she’s wearing a ski jacket or parka when Snake kills her in the open snowy field.
Omg this is awesome! **shed's a tear** EDIT: once again, omg, I started to cry when everyone said their lines from the game in the end of the video, Metal Gear Solid forever!!
great how they mentioned how metal geear was a pioneer and changed the games industry and when they said the impowerment of female characters in the games meryl olga boss sniper wolf eva
27:55 he says Ocelot is there but to me Ocelot is Pat Zimmerman who i don't believe has ever done an interview or appeared on camera, a damn shame. What a performance.
Thank you for this. Listening to all these wonderful voices, took me back to those amazing and unforgettable times in my best and only favorite game for all time. Thank you. METAL GEAR SOLID LEGACY is forever.
Being a fan since I was 6 and MGS1 being my first game, this is truly incredible. It’s so amazing to have them all here, and how at the time a few of them had no idea how their work would impact people.
"Snake. You know who that is?" "You're kidding, right? That's Mario." "Mario's first appearance was in 1981. Since then he's become a world-wide phenomenon. There's probably not a single person who doesn't know Mario. He's that famous." "Good thing I survived long enough to meet him the field of battle, huh?" "This is a once in a lifetime chance, Snake. Now go out there and show them what you're made of. No regrets." "Got it."
"He also attacks by farting, he can fart to fly around too." "By farting... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" "sadly no, I'm not kidding, if his belly starts to bulge, watch out!"
This was amazing! It's 3am now and I'm super tired but I'm happy I stayed up to watch this. I've been going through a really tough time right now, I'm really happy this was a thing. Thank you everyone who made this possible! :D

This series will forever by my favourite and close to my heart.
Whats wrong with ee
when david starting talking i thought it was christopher speaking, why does he sound like Otacon lol.
Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, MGS1,2,3, and 4 all need full-on remakes.
@@PSYCHOV3N0M 4 needs a remaster, and first 5 should be made with FOX Engine.
@Travis Brink 2 and 3 at bare minimum definitely need a remake. Those are PS2 games almost 20 years old. 😂
@@PSYCHOV3N0M especially the first two metal gears, those are the oldest, i wanna see solid snake battles against venom snake with modern graphics
@@yourunclebernex4075 Oh definitely. Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 getting a full-fledged modern REMAKE would be amazing.
20:03 is such a Octagon Moment!!!!
This amazing group here is the reason why I felt in love with video games. No one has been able to duplicate the magic of the MGS cast. Thank you everyone.
Every single one of these actors did a superb job voicing these characters. It made me so glad to see them all together.
The boss is a perfect example of a strong female character in gaming
cof cof Drunkmann and his "Abby" persona tries to imitate that... obviously with no success.
Eww. Especially Abby
More like the perfect example of a Mary Sue.
@@martinhenderson5391 Yes, thats exactly what people would say today.
Jeff: "Do you think MGS4 ending was a fitting end for Solid Snake and Big Boss"
David: "........."
MGS Crew: "He's thinking about it!"
David: "......kept you waiting, huh?"
Thank you to all involved for taking the time to do this. This series means so much to me, and you are all such wonderfully talented people! I hope that panels like this can enlighten the "bastards with the money" to handle the MGS franchise with respect moving forward.

I remember Lori Alan was in Friends where Joey went to the waxing salon.
I'm always shocked to hear David's real voice, it's so different to Snake's
He actually voices the Jedi Knight character in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and he uses his real voice. I didn’t realize it was him until like a couple hours in when he said a line and his voice dipped into that “Snake growl” and then it clicked.
Or when he was in Guyver 2 and Eternal Darkness. He didn't use his gruff voice
@@MigPlz91LivestreamOnly the “I want my life back!” Line. That’s when I realised he was Snake hh
He was originally going to use his own voice for Snake, but, after reading the script, he decided that someone so battle-weary, who had been pulled out of retirement, should sound more gravelly, and that turned into the Snake we know. Hayter talks about it toward the beginning of the interview.
How does this have under 10k views? This is what every Metal Gear fan dreams of seeing
1:08:42 The best part. I got goosebumps when Robin, Lori and Tasia gave their performances. 🥰
The hour is so late darn it, it's like a 4 am sneaking mission
No Patric Zimmerman and Quinton Flynn :(, aside from that, this was really awesome :)
Its so cool to see most the cast back together today even over 20 years later
Being so young playing these games and watching this honestly just hits me with nostalgia; man they need to bring these games to modern times ASAP.
It makes me so happy when they go into their characters voices, especially Cam Clarke!!
Facts:David and Jenniffer are both Legends
Solid Snake and Commander Shepard.
Both saved Earth
Can't believe you got Lori Alan for this. Thank you so much! She is prob, to this date, one of my favourite villains/mentors in gaming. Also female characters in media overall.
Josh Keaton is 41 but I swear to god that dude has looked like he's 21 for his entire career.
Was just thinking the same thing!

Question for the cast: "Do you think love can bloom even on a battlefield?"
If you love someone, you have to be good at button-mashing
And (t)here is me, a child that played the game so many times I could('ve) narrate(d) it word for word even after twenty three years. Those voice actors gave the game a breath of life, and a piece of that life will forever remain with me. With us, oh so many.
I know this is more for the nostalgia, but I'd like one of these where Kiefer is also in the group. A video with every Snake.
@@drewb2444 I know :(
1:06:40 The Twin Snakes.
I know I’m 2 weeks late but this brought back so many memories ,seeing all of them and hearing all of them 🤗😭🥲🤩
Glad this randomly popped up on my TH-cam feed. Awesome to hear from them.
All I can say is thank you to this group of amazing actors. You will never truly know how important your work has been and how much you have shaped this industry.
They are all great, but Lori Alan as The Boss is something that you can't recreate with a million actors. She is just perfect.
This was amazing, it exemplified my teenage years right into my mid twenties and still love everything MGS even now nearly @ 40yrs old.
“If it was 2021, he’d probably be vaping” 😂
Two David's at the end? Guess you could call it Twin Snakes...
I'll see myself out
The sniper wolf question seems weird. Her chest is kinda visible during the first fight, which is in the base, outdoors but with way less wind, but she’s wearing a ski jacket or parka when Snake kills her in the open snowy field.
This reunion made me so happy. What an iconic series that got played like a damn fiddle.
They kept touching on “hopefully getting back together soon”. Wonder if Sony has reached out on a possible remake
I don't think it's gonna be possible due to FucKonami/Crapnami.
Konami had Sony remove PT from their stores. Their acting like a divorced wife who's still petty about their breakup.
You mean "another" possible remake?
Was that a remake? Or a remaster...?
@@kd8835 Twin Snakes? A full, faithful remake.
This is just prestigious, brings back all the decade + nostalgic memories.
Omg this is awesome! **shed's a tear**
EDIT: once again, omg, I started to cry when everyone said their lines from the game in the end of the video, Metal Gear Solid forever!!
Mgs remake coming
@@paulsmith9192 it better not be an exclusive it needs to be in as many consoles and pc as possible and has to have this voice cast

great how they mentioned how metal geear was a pioneer and changed the games industry and when they said the impowerment of female characters in the games meryl olga boss sniper wolf eva
27:55 he says Ocelot is there but to me Ocelot is Pat Zimmerman who i don't believe has ever done an interview or appeared on camera, a damn shame. What a performance.
Josh Keaton is voice of young Ocelot in Metal Gear Solid 3. Patrick Zimmerman is voiced him as older Ocelot.
@@e.coskun7510 i know that. What i'm saying is that when i think of Ocelot the voice that comes to mind is that of Pat Zimmerman, not Josh Keaton.
Huh, this is...pretty good.
You have all made so many of us so happy once again! Thank you!!!
everyones eyes light up when Christopher says "hopefully we'll all have a chance to find out"
**"i'm watching you" gesture**
the Twin Snakes at the end were a nice touch
"I've been waiting for this!"
"Snake. You know who that is?"
"You're kidding, right? That's Mario."
"Mario's first appearance was in 1981. Since then he's become a world-wide phenomenon. There's probably not a single person who doesn't know Mario. He's that famous."
"Good thing I survived long enough to meet him the field of battle, huh?"
"This is a once in a lifetime chance, Snake. Now go out there and show them what you're made of. No regrets."
"Got it."
Meat
“Kept you waiting, huh?”
"He also attacks by farting, he can fart to fly around too."
"By farting... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
"sadly no, I'm not kidding, if his belly starts to bulge, watch out!"
Jeez why has this made me so emotional!? This was amazing, thank you for making it happen
This was amazing! It's 3am now and I'm super tired but I'm happy I stayed up to watch this. I've been going through a really tough time right now, I'm really happy this was a thing. Thank you everyone who made this possible! :D
Fantastic reunion, thanks for making it happen. I enjoyed listening to those iconic voices from the past.
I noted though that Paul Eiding tried to speak at the beginning but was talked over, and then he never had a chance to speak till the 45th minute. I think he should've at least been moved up the Q&A list instead of being dead last.
