    Awesome presentation! Pass the word, always have clear and ample spoken audio without background noise. Great example of such herein.

    That's a bunch of good tips. Might have to re-watch this one a few times. Keep em coming. 👍

    Its a good idea to always paint the edge of the drilled holes to keep them from rusting as Dave mentioned.

    Living up here in the rust belt, I don’t drill holes in a perfectly good or new body panel, but Save you make it look very easy, and explain the methods to align the moldings perfectly!

      As long as you protect those holes you drill with paint or silicone, you can be confident to you won't encourage any rust to form. However, we get where you're coming from! BTW, thank you for the compliment!

    Thanks a bunch for your effort. For what worth I get to do the upper door moldings again. The NOS kit came with a screw, studded clip and four double side tape (3M) clips. That combination DOES NOT WORK, the door sees way too much action. So I'm drilling two holes and will use three studded clips, the screw and two double side clips. Also for what worth, if using double side clips, it's my experience you have to sand the clip' ends a pinch, and perhaps one of it's tip corners a pinch. Support the molding's exterior and snap it in. The alternative is bend the molding (NEVER) or heat up the clip that distorts it.

    Video idea: How to align body panels and doors on 67-72 c10. I really need help with that and there aren't any videos that help.

    Hey Dave, …..have you ever been able to install the molding on a 72 ….door already installed, can’t figure out how to get the nut on the front part of the door in the factory hole….the whole is in behind the hinge……Im curious if you know a trick? Love watching your videos on these trucks…..been watching you teach us for ten years! Thank you for all you do.

      Doing this right now, I took the door off. To do so the handles have to come off on the interior, then the door panel. then the 3 bolts on the bottom door hinge, then the top 3 have nuts on the backside of the bolts.

    How do you put the nuts on the door molding, you only showed the nut in station on the easy parts. Painting my 1970 longhorn two tone soon and getting molding off first.

    • @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV
      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to remove the inner door panel and you'll have easy access to the bolts/nuts.

      Thanks wish I could show photos but exited for getting it painted. Maaco will start it Aug 6th and said will take a month. Waiting on tool to remove window crank handle and door handle.

    Will the 68 trim fit a 70? I prefer the all chrome

  • @bwhite220
    @bwhite220 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I assume you have take the door panels off on the inside to put the trim on the door?
    Also, I subscribed so you don’t have to be upset! 😏

      Most of the time you do, certain models have stick on clips and that would be the exception to removing the panels. Thanks for the sub!
