Dave was one of the first "Tipsters " I found on You Tube to help me with my '50 Chevy 3100. I think he was working out of his one car garage at home. 👍😁 The guy knows a ton of good resurrection info.

Lots of good tips Dave. They will save time and damage. Hand Impacts are very reasonably priced now and the are hit with a hammer, forcing the bit into a rusty screw. An over tightened screw may disfigure the sheet metal hole, tapping the metal just below flush with a punch & hammer May allow the correct screw to tighten. Don't forget electrical contact cleaner, old tooth brush and small amounts of dielectric grease keeps electrical problems away.
    DK, ASE Master retired.
Thanks Dave for the great tips keeping them on the road!

Hey Dave, I REALLY enjoy and appreciate your video's and the Tech Tips. Especially since I'm currently restoring our '65 C10. Just finished watching your rock panel replacement video's since that's what I'm currently working on. Thanks Brother and Brother's Truck Parts. I'm hoping to be ordering a ton during project if the prices match up. I'm on a fixed income so it ain't easy..

Paul, you're really going to like the Video Series we have coming out where we are Shortening/Ls Swapping and Dropping a '65 C10 like yours. Keep an eye out in the next month or so.

@@BROTHERSTruckPartsTV I'm also Interested in the body work once the fabrication is done. I've watched SO many different techniques for body filler, sealer, 2K apoxy and what an when to use each. It makes my head hurt LOL

Very cool stuff. I’d like to add a couple of things: when you are sanding, use a wire brush on your paper periodically to keep it from clogging and you will get more mileage from each sheet of paper. Also a piece of pipe or an old junk socket that is sharpened on one end and then heated will make that trick work that much better.

And if I don't subscribe you won't come back next week? If I only knew it was that easy. All joking aside, I love your videos.

Best way to cut rope is to put a wrap of electrical tape on where you’re cutting and cut in the middle of the tape. Nice clean ends when you cut

Hi Dave. Thank you for all your help and wisdom. Your videos have saved me countless headaches! I have a quick question for you. What are your thoughts on weld through primer? Do you use it? Thank you for your time and help. AJ

Dave, I watch all your vids I havent seen anything on pinion offset, question-3100 original frame
    GM 8.5 10 bolt
    TH400 transmission.
    Small Block Chevy.
    Mustang ll IFS
The rear end has a 1/2 inch offset to the passenger side.
The transmission mount and the motor mounts will center the trans, and engine in the frame.
Are you refabricating the trans. cross member mount and engine mounts to the passenger side to achieve the pinion offset or moving the rear end to the drivers side to center the entire drive line in the frame.

      @BROTHERSTruckPartsTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Honestly, we just leave the offset and let the U-Joints do the work.
