“Casa” means house, and the sufix “-ita” means “little,” but can also be added just to be affectionate. She calls the house “Casita,” which ofc literally means “little house,” but it’s also a casual way of saying “my beloved house” or something similar Edit: That’s the feminine version, the masculine version is -ito. Spanish is very gendered; casa is feminine, so there’s no such thing as a casito. Don’t ask why houses are ladies lmao
ik this is a month late but -ita is the feminie version of the ending. so Casito and Casita both mean the same thing. So this gives the distinction that its a girl house.
What I love about her voice is she genuinely sounds like a 15 year old girl, unlike a lot of the earlier Disney princesses where they were supposed to be 16 or really young and they had singing voices of obvious adults
The songs waiting on a miracle and what else can I do are great too! Also, not sure if you’ve ever seen the show Brooklyn 99, but the girl that plays Rosa is the actress who voices this main character Mirabel. Kinda fun since her character in Brooklyn 99 is so serious. Love your reactions to these songs.
Yes!! I love Stephanie Beatriz!! If you see interviews with her, her real voice is NOTHING like her character in B99! She's gorgeous and talented! She also just had a baby! 💞
Yes. He should definitely do a reaction video on Waiting On A Miracle. Because he's sleeping on Stephenie Beatriz's voice. And What Else Can I do, also.
"That's a voice that has experienced a lot." YOU LITERALLY GET ABUELA'S STORY WITHOUT HAVING SEEN THE MOVIE - FROM HER VOICE. Enjoying this series of react videos a lot, laughed when I saw more and more appear in my suggested videos. :p
I'd heard about the voice actor for Mirabel being in Brooklyn Nine Nine, but I didn't realize it was Rosa. AMAZING. I now definitely agree, she's got range.
8:47 "The Family Madrigal" is song at the start of the movie, to introduce family members and to bring the happy feelings at first about the family before we start digging more into the family members' stories. It's still a great song but obviously they won't start the movie with their best song. Gotta keep it great until the end.
Classic musical theatre starts with what's called an "I am" song. We get to know Curly through "Oh What a Beautiful Morning," we get to know Nellie Forbush through "Cockeyed Optimist," et al. Given that MIrabel is the character through whom we get to know the rest of the family, this is her "I am" song. It also implies the next song that happens in classical musicals, the "I want" song: we don't get to hear directly what Mirabel wants, but her evasion of the question of what her power is tells that whole story.
I think the fact that Mirabel's voice in this song does not blow your mind like the others, but is nice and make you smile is like, a huge part of the character too.
"She has a soothing voice, not everyone has to blow you away" me sitting here saying: lol wait til she speeds up, bro. As for live action, not a movie, but adapt this to stage for sure. It's made for it.
I swear there’s an inner therapist in every rapper. Your reviews on this movie make so much sense, it seems like you really connect and you haven’t even seen it yet!
Nick's explanation of her voice as opposed to others fits the movie so well, Mirabel is the anchor. She's soothing and supportive. Abuela is kinda similar but she has a weakness to her voice because she's coming to her end as the "anchor"

@@brawlt0t0lymp1c7 I think it has to do with personal experiences. Some people can relate a lot to this movie and the characters in it. Some people may relate more to Rapunzel in Tangled. It all depends on how you grew up and what you experienced
There's a theory that Abuela projects herself and the life she never got to have onto Isabella hence why she always feels the need to be perfect for the family and why marrying Mariano is important because he shares a likeness to Abuela's husband Pedro and why she never lets her make any mistakes.

Dos Orugitas is the saddest song in the movie. It’s heartbreaking in the most beautiful way but it will give a big part of the story away. Waiting on a Miracle & What Else can I do are equally good as well. I’d be down for a full reaction video to the movie if you’re up for it.
My favorite song aside from We Don’t Talk About Bruno is What Else Can I Do. I love this song because it shows that no matter how hard you try to be “perfect” it won’t work out because nobody is perfect. She had many expectations as the oldest and the “prettiest” to be the perfect child, she couldn’t be herself with all these pressuring expectations. I love how in the song she finds her true self, I just think that’s super awesome
This than making you cry is better cus this is like soft and happy only but sad still cuz she has no magic given to her but she can truly sing. The soft voice with the echo and the pitch the beat is just nice.
I love how this song portrays who she is. She is nothing special compared to her sisters, and you can sense that from comparing these songs together, but you can also tell that she is insecure about herself because she has no gift, so she is kind of afraid of the spotlight, so she tries to tell these kids all about the rest of her family to get out of the spotlight because it scares her because she is insecure about it.
1:08 One thing that I haven't seen anybody pick up on is that Mirabel says "This is my family, the perfect consolation, so many stars and everybody gets to shine." She says "consolation", not "constellation", as you probably think she's saying. Constellation makes sense with the lyrics because it's a group of stars, and she's talking about stars. However, consolation, "comfort for something lost", is what she is saying. In the first verse of the first song, she's telling us that her family is her comfort because she is missing something.
It is “constellation” because the lyrics don’t make sense otherwise. They revisit the stars and constellations theme in the song All of You. You can see the lyrics in the official lyric video put out by Disney.
"Waiting On A Miracle" is also great -- I consider that the only other song you could watch without getting too much into spoilers. :) These are the first four songs of the movie, and the others all have a lot of plot resolution. So I'd recommend watching "Waiting On A Miracle" or the movie here! Would also avidly follow any reactions to the music from the In The Heights movie... Lin Manuel Miranda wrote the music for Encanto and that was his first musical. The movie version was released last year and it's pretty incredible lyrically/musically/visually too!
My favorite song from Encanto is “We don’t talk abiut Bruno,“ but “Waiting on a Miracle is such a close second. Please react to “Waiting on a Miracle“!!!! It really showcases Mirabel’s vocals
The most amazing thing is Disney think it's too hard to tell a big family in the same time,so princesses didn't have much family members usually, but this time thay just use one song to prove it that didn't have lots of discrimination and you can know each members. The skill of story telling and musical is so FABULOUS ❣️❣️❣️ Ps.Love your reaction,so emotional❤
These are all so 🎵fantastical and magical🎵 there are "all of you", the finale song, "what else can I do?", Isa's song after mirabel gets a vision from bruno and has to hug Isa, and I believe "Waiting on a miracle" after Antonio gets his gift. If u want to count them, "Encanto" is spanish song. It's nice with subtitles cuz they translate. And the other song in Spanish that play during story time near the end of the movie. In english, it translates to "Two butterflies"
actually, there is no song called Encanto in the movie, but since there's only one other song in Spanish besides "Dos Oruguitas", you're probably talking about "Colombia, Mi Encanto", and dos oruguitas means two caterpillars, not butterflies. that is mariposas in spanish.
Omg bestie there’s more songs. U should definitely check “what else can I do” and I feel like “dos orugitas” (hopefully wrote that correctly) won’t be your cup of tea but the video and the story behind it is amazing.
I know this video is years old but you killed me with the Lion King live action reference. I STILL remember that disappointment. Be Prepared was my favorite song and they just... ... ... 😢
I love these other songs too. Waiting On A Miracle, What Else Can I Do, and The Miracle is You. All of them are amazing and you should react to all of them.
There are more songs oops! "Waiting On A Miracle" is Mirabel's "I want" song. "What Else Can I Do?" is a duet with Mirabel and Isabela. "Dos Oruguitas" is so pretty, but if you're throwing together a film reaction (maybeeeee??) I think it's the best one to listen to with the movie instead of by itself when it comes to the first listen.
The voice actor for Mirabel is the same girl who plays Rosa Diaz on Brooklyn 99. Isabela plays crazy Jane on doom patrol. Bruno is Sid the sloth from Ice Age.
"We need more music like this" you could check Colombian cumbia (that seems to be the rhythm here) and vallenato , there are some awesome artist in those
While watching Encanto, “Dos Orugitas” followed by “All of You” was a struggle to hold back tears until the whole dam broke at that last part ugghhh so good! 😭😭😭👌
All of the songs about the family Madrigal are so good because of the amazing talent of the family Encanto. The family of wonderfully talented people who put so much heart into this movie. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Would you consider doing a reaction for when you see the movie?! I would LOVE that. Your reactions to the music have been wonderful so far, and I’d love to see a movie reaction for it!
Love your energy and reactions, never watched your videos before until watching the last 3 Encanto song reaction videos but I’m definitely subscribing now! I would suggest for you to react to “What Else Can I Do” which is a song from Isabela’s perspective or “Waiting On A Miracle” which is a slower more emotional song from Mirabel’s perspective and shows how she really feels.
When I watched this movie for the first time this song made me so happy. SO HAPPY. I'm Latin American and I grew up listening to music of Mexican, Colombian, Argentine, Spanish (even if they're not Latin American) artists and as I grew up I grew away from that style of music. Encanto's music made me remember those good times. My early childhood was filled with music like this and Encanto, specifically this song and Colombia, Mi Encanto brought that feeling back even if just for the musical moments in the movie. What you said about this song being cute and making you smile is so true. I bob my head and smile the whole song through because it's so happy, joyous and the lyrics... How Mirabel sees her family as a perfect constellation, even if she has her bad experiences with Isabela (we don't know the depth of that yet, the movie only started) Mirabel loves her family and listening to those lyrics make me emotional every time. Also it's true what you say about Mirabel's voice. Not everyone in the family has to have a bombastic voice and I love Mirabel's voice here and in What Else Can I Do? She is adorable and so relatable. I just love this song and this movie is beautiful.
all these songs are amazing but you missed some!!! Waiting on a Miracle is soooo relatable!!! What else can I do? Explains Isabella‘s perspective in the family. And Dos Oruguitas will just make you cry!!! IF YOU CAN PLEASE REACT TO THESE TOO!!
Actually this is the first song of the movie. Honestly they’re all my favorite song!!! But seriously please react to What Else Can I Do from Encanto!! Love your reactions! I’m so excited!!!
This song actually made my heart break for Mirabelle. She's the only member of the family that didn't get a gift, and she tries so hard to fast talk/sing by telling about how amazing everyone in her family is just to avoid saying she didn't receive a special talent. Only at the end to be outed by her cousin.
in Waiting on a miracle there's a verse where she says "I would move the mountains, make NEW trees and flowers grow, I would heal what's broken, show this family something new" etc. which honestly predicts all the things she ends up doing, including the mountain part when Abuela meets her at the river that had been blocked off and says "I never thought I'd come back here again"... Mirabel does it all, without magic
I can’t say I know for sure what accent you have (just found your channel) but I absolutely LOVED it when you said “You even got the drawers and the floors singing!”

1:08 One thing that I haven't seen anybody pick up on is that Mirabel says "This is my family, the perfect consolation, so many stars and everybody gets to shine."
She says "consolation", not "constellation", as you probably think she's saying.
The movie version was released last year and it's pretty incredible lyrically/musically/visually too!
if you want to see more of her vocals, check out "waiting on a miracle"
My favorite song from Encanto is “We don’t talk abiut Bruno,“ but “Waiting on a Miracle is such a close second. Please react to “Waiting on a Miracle“!!!! It really showcases Mirabel’s vocals
This song gets me in the feels, when ever they say "She's a Goldennn child~~"
The most amazing thing is Disney think it's too hard to tell a big family in the same time,so princesses didn't have much family members usually, but this time thay just use one song to prove it that didn't have lots of discrimination and you can know each members. The skill of story telling and musical is so FABULOUS ❣️❣️❣️
Ps.Love your reaction,so emotional❤
I adore “Waiting for a Miracle” it’s awesome! I started watching your channel for your reactions to these songs, i love this (:
I'm so happy you appreciate Mirabel's voice I feel like she's so overlooked and she just makes me so happy to hear !!
I love seeing you falling in love with each musical number, go watch the whole movie already!
"We need more music like this" you could check Colombian cumbia (that seems to be the rhythm here) and vallenato , there are some awesome artist in those
I did not watch the video yet but am sure the reaction will be fire! Lot’s of love from Mauritius Island
What else can i do and waiting on a miracle are amazing songs from this movie
The energy 🔥💯
Honestly the songs are all amazing for different reasons! There are also several more singing songs in the move.
I love her dancing in this.
Nick: I love how her voice is soothing, like it's nothing to lose my mind over.
Me: Oh ho ho, wait till you hear her rap
Family Madrigal is one of my favourite songs from the tracklist ☺️
I saw someone already suggest Waiting On A Miracle and What Else Can I Do, so I'll suggest the ending song All of You
you should react to the same songs but in latin spanish, it also sounds incredible!
I agree SO MUCH.
Love from... Russia (yeah)
@@mariovv178 why (yeah)?
@@josephg.1.130 it's just a little bit funny that I'm advertising spanish voice acting... actually, I do it everywhere 😄 But it's really cool
@@mariovv178 ehhh i dont thinknits weird or anything, good music is good music yk?
@@josephg.1.130 oKay ✌️
Mirabel gets her own emotional solo called Waiting on a Miracle and it makes me cry everytime
My favorite one is definitely We don’t talk about Bruno. That song is a whole masterpiece.
all these songs are amazing but you missed some!!!
I legit can’t take you’re enthusiasm I freaking love it!!! I smile the entire time watching all your videos
Seriously though, "What Else Can I Do?" is the best song imo! You'll get a ton of info on Isa (the singer of the song) and how the family works!
Now you have to react to “What Else Can I Do?” 🙏🏻 Please
There's 8 songs in total in the film so you have a ways to go! 💕
Lin-Manuel Miranda is an absolute genius, there's just no other way to put it.
in Waiting on a miracle there's a verse where she says "I would move the mountains, make NEW trees and flowers grow, I would heal what's broken, show this family something new" etc. which honestly predicts all the things she ends up doing, including the mountain part when Abuela meets her at the river that had been blocked off and says "I never thought I'd come back here again"... Mirabel does it all, without magic
Also, a live action movie of Encanto wouldn’t work. However this movie is INCREDIBLY suited to work as a Broadway musical!
There’s other other songs like what else can I do and waiting on a miracle! Those songs are really good also :)
If you wanna know her story listen to waiting on a miracle it made me cry and for Isabella's story listen to what else can I do
I can’t say I know for sure what accent you have (just found your channel) but I absolutely LOVED it when you said “You even got the drawers and the floors singing!”
Nick: not every voice has to blow the shit out of your ass
Me on the toilet having a panic attack while watching Surface Pressure for the millionth time in that past ten minutes: oh no
So the songs waiting for a miracle and what else can I do from encanto coming next right? Cuz like you've come this far you can't just leave it at that you got to react to the rest
Hehe i love how dead these songs make you🤣 I might be wrong but I think there are still 2 more songs
It's i think 5 more songs
Please make a reaction to Sia's songs, for example, Alive, Chandelier or Elastic Hearts, it's worth it❤
Your reactions are literally the same as mine ! I love what Disney did w this movie and how diverse in music it was and the voices weren’t like the normal Disney princess voices . It was greatv
Watching through these I just have to say that your enthusiasm for these songs has lifted my spirits this week! More like this please!
