    I was quite pleased with the results.

    I am replacing my Cuisinart coffee maker, which is nearly 10 years old. The delayed brewing function no longer works, so I've been looking at several options and asking for input from family and friends. The Ninja Coffee Bar seems to be the one to choose. Nice review!

    You said it smells really good, is what I like to hear. I ordered mine thru Amazon. Arriving tomorrow, can not wait. Your place looks nice. It looks like I will need bigger coffee cups.

      Death Wish Coffee is all I drink now. 2lbs of beans delivered to my door every month!

    I wanted to know what the temperature was of the water being distributed into the basket. So I dug out my thermocouple and hooked it up and tested the thing. The dispensed water is held 90% of its time between 195 and 205 degrees. This is what the coffee experts always claim is ideal. I do know from experience this is rarely this case when it comes to most coffee pots . And why many coffee pots taste pretty bad. Always knew it made really good hot coffee.

    I have used this same machine to make Thai iced coffee and if you follow the directions in the provided recipe book it really is as good as you would get in any Thai Restaurant and even my Thai wife agrees with me. You can play with the sweetness in how much sweetened condensed milk you use.

    Being that this is only $115 at Costco I'm trying to convince myself this is the answer

      I am a big fan. I have tried many machines and for a 'daily driver'it the way to go.
      the other stuff it does is a super bonus.

    I have your ninja coffee bar and the clock went haywire, it will not set or stay set and has a strange message where the time should be.

    If it brings out the true flavor of coffee, I’ve discovered I no longer like Dunkin Donuts original because it tastes funny in the Ninja.😳

    Just purchased the coffee bar, currently have a kurig. Not sure if ready to make the switch. We are also big tea drinkers. Does anyone know if the coffee taste transfers over or if any good way to get clean got water out of it without the coffeee taste following. Thank you

      ditch the Keurig?

    Right... Don't use espresso grind because this is a drip coffee maker. Not an espresso maker. Therefore you cannot make any espresso drinks like a true macchiato.

      @timothyreinerman1001  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      J V Right but, it does well enough.
      Not everyone can have coffee machines and espresso machines.
      This is a workable option and it does pretty well at it.

    Hi, just had my first cup last night... I was using a 4oz cup, put in 3 heaping small scoops, added syrup at the bottom and brewed a classic brew for an 4 oz cup. It nearly overflowed! Any suggestions to correct or change?

    • @timothyreinerman1001
      @timothyreinerman1001  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      the cup size, single not travel mug, is around 7-8oz.
      if you put flavor in and THEN coffee into a 4oz cup, I'd say, get a bigger cup.

    • @lorikonecki1383
      @lorikonecki1383 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oy, so I guess I can't use the 4 oz as the maker can only brew only 8 oz size? Coulda sworn there is a 4 oz brewing size in that machine.
      One question: in using syrups, do we use coffee syrup, like the Torani brand or syrup as in ice cream syrup? Some recipes aren't very specific in type(s) of syrups.

      Whatever works for you.
      I've used powdered chocolate for mochas but, chocolate syrup works fine too. Just don't get the hard shell kind and you're alright.

      +tin evans Sorry about the delay. Yes, I would say that is a defect. I might also say that there is a button to turn it off and that it does stay warm for about two hours.

    Did you ever test it for iced coffee?

    • @timothyreinerman1001
      @timothyreinerman1001  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jessica Goldstein Yes I have. Actually, used it for iced coffee yesterday. Twice.
      What you have to remember is, it's not making "espresso" in the traditional sense. It makes a denser coffee that, honestly works perfectly. It pre-infuses before the full pour so the grounds can bloom and makes a really nice drink.

      My husband and I are looking into buying it. He spends way too much on cappuccinos and I drink way too much cold brew that I make at home. I was thinking this might be an okay compromise for us.

    • @timothyreinerman1001
      @timothyreinerman1001  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jessica Goldstein I do make a lot of cold brew myself.
      And, yeah, it'll save you a ton of money.
      Here's a link to it making iced coffee. Not really an instructional video but, it show what's going on.

      Awesome. Thank you! I think he's still going to check out some actual espresso machines. After I explained that it wasn't really espresso, he seemed concerned. I don't think he'll be able to tell the difference though.

    • @timothyreinerman1001
      @timothyreinerman1001  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Jessica Goldstein Those are a REAL pain. There is a lot of clean up, there is a big learning period and, due to the pressures involved, a high likelihood of breakdown. PLUS, they only do one thing.
      I am VERY picky about my coffee and this thing has never let me down. I wanted an espresso machine too but, having worked in coffee shops, I knew their pitfalls. I have a few different gadgets(ROK Presso, Lavica Nespresso etc) but, THIS is my go to. It does so much and, unless he is a world renowned coffee expert, he's never gonna know the difference.
