I think aging on military vehicles is exaggerated. In the British army you would get in deep trouble if your uniform button wasn't of a high enough polish. A warrior knows to look after his weapon. I would like to hear from some old serviceman about how they kept their tanks.

Fair enough. I would have to say that I definitely exaggerate the weathering effects as they increase levels of visual interest for the viewer. When it comes to model armour especially in smaller scales, it takes some imagination to find excuses to paint colours other than green.
