- This is my first original piece uploaded here, played with my Yamaha Transacoustic CGTA, wonderful instrument! It was a challenge for me because I hadn't played classical guitar for a while, but it was fun to record it! Thanks to Mauro Zanotti for having shot and edited the video!

WOW, Matteo just made my number 1 guitarist position, nothing he can not play! Above all the present greats, He is the total package of technique and style, excellent phrasing and dynamics, his right hand is golden, no one does it like him.He is the new next level up. I'm old now, but I hope to live long enough to see him grow, he is just getting warmed up!

@@joluijten8935 Universe made a trick with enthropy. a local turbolence in global medium distribution OR just an astonishing guy that started studying in a fertile environment with the right experiences with the right determination and ability to dedicate totally to playng guitar. all hard to find ingridients in a 12 y.o. kid. how long could he study? 15 years.. just superhuman. ..or entropy. Who can tell?

There’s a tremendous amount of deep contemplation in this piece that supersedes his technical ability. This is a writer, not just a player. Matteo amazingly can play all sorts of guitar style genres to perfection . He’s so refreshing and unique, I think he’s incredible. Love this Julian bream and John Williams vibe in this video. Once again another fab video for me to play repeatedly.

Music is a language and we learn languages by listening to and copying what we hear and later turn that into original ideas of our own. Even if he were still playing the music of others doesn't mean the original wouldn't have come sooner or later.
People actually say that??? Doesn't Matteo's improvisation qualify as original material? It does in my world.
People really will look for any excuse to talk shit about talented people for no good reason other than petty jealousy.

This was beautiful and very exciting. I have been on a binge for days watching Matteo doing covers and even an interview, and still had not heard an original piece from him. So this is just lovely. I think this guy has become my favorite new player almost overnight, for so many reasons. His tastes and influences are quite expansive and that right hand technique is just plain terrifying. Consider: you might not think Matteo is the GOAT, but I am struggling to think of a guitar player (Guthrie, Vai, Satch, even Holdsworth) that could sit down and play like that with their fingers. Even if it was their own song. This dude is the real deal folks, keep your eyes and ears on him.

Alla mia età non pensavo di restare drogato dalla musica di qualcuno. Provo tanta sana invidia per come suoni e mi fa impazzire che guardandoti sembra tutto così semplice e normale. Se mi assicuri che comprando le chitarre che suoni tu, io riesco a suonare così, ne compro una vagonata 😄😄😄

The classical guitar forces you to rely on the guitar, your fingers and your soul only -ideally no backing tracks! Pure musical alchemy! I loved it! Excellent! You should do more solo pieces, without backing tracks -just like this. You can even do it with clean sound on an electric. I'd love to see you do a full, neo-classical/jazz-fusion solo guitar concert! Excellent playing! It is a pleasure to hear you play. You have both soul and amazing technique and skill! Bravo!

This brought me to tears. Stunning. Takes me back to when all I played was fingerstyle! This is what its all about, straight from the soul.
1:18 - 1:20 PERFECT nuances like these little accompaniments showcase his brilliance! Yeah, other players have tapped the top of a classical guitar before, but the way in which Matteo has incorporated pentatonics, dissonant/fusion chords, harmonic minor colorings-- just the WAY he has blended techniques and influences (love the nods to Eric Johnson,) while conveying emotion and still being uniquely HIMSELF.... it is mind blowing.
Absolutely mind blowing.
And the fact that not ONLY can he express a unique identity on classical guitar but ELECTRIC guitar too?!
