Definitely agree and appreciate his humility and relatability. The attribute I love most about Matteo is that he’s just doing his own thing. The style and virtuosity are all his own, which is extremely refreshing in this modern era of predictable, basic, and vocal-centric music. He’s truly unique and gracing music with something new and original. Great timing for this man to break out. He’s bringing guitar music back. Many people won’t get it because they’re so accustomed to a lack of instrumental focus…but we musicians see ya Matteo. Looking forward to his continued evolution, original compositions, and notoriety.

@@scottwolf497 I was just wondering what your reference point is. My issue with this is that the people you listed are "great" in a much different sense of "great" than Mancuso. The people you listed are historically influential and produced masterworks of music some of which are considered truly spiritual listening experiences. Mancuso, for me (an I suspect for almost everyone in these Comments) is only technically proficient at the highest level (a much lesser definition of "great"). Really we are talking two vastly different levels of artistic impact and historical impact. The only thing they have in common is the word "great", though the meaning and impact are not the same at all.

Finalmente la TV si accorge di Matteo Mancuso un grande chitarrista. Per chi segue performance di musicisti sul web come faccio io, Matteo è da anni fonte di ispirazione.
Matteo è un talento unico con una tecnica che nessuno ha mai posseduto a questi livelli, è uno dei più grandi chitarristi contemporanei e l'Italia lo ignora, va promosso e valorizzato come un'eccellenza italiana da presentare al mondo come si deve!
Questo musicista oltre che a spaziare a livelli stratosferici , sprizza intelligenza umiltà e gioia di fare della sua vita , un grande giardino da esplorare. Non solo l’Italia può essere orgogliosa , ma tutto il genere umano, per tale regalo . 🙏🙏🙏

He's an astonishing talent, and he is also a really sweet, nice guy. So is his dad. I got to meet them personally. I feel privileged to have met him, attended clinics, shook his hand, and seen him play up close several times this year.
This kid is fantastic. And I already know that the point of this video is the fabulous technique of this young man inspired by the eighties' version that Van Halen released. But it really strikes me that no one has commented that after 60 years "You Really Got Me", a true milestone total precursor of distortion, Proto Punk and Hard Rock back in the precambrian Rock of 1964 (!!) , is still a model so that young generations continue to be inspired and develop all their talent. God save The Kinks. 
Ho visto chitarristi velocissimi (c'è uno giovanissimo che fa non so bene quante note al secondo è campione del mondo di velocità), ma qui non è solamente una questione di velocità, che già quella è mostruosa,, ma il come riesce ad unire la velocità, la tecnica e il gusto musicale,, tutto insieme. Sembra un mix di Metheny, Di Meola, Vai, Van Halen con un bel po' di dì McLaughlin. Poi basta guardare le facce dei musicisti dì Propaganda Live, che sono dei grandi professionisti, per capire come e cosa sta suonando e il feeling che c'è in quel momento. Di chitarristi così ne nascono uno ogni 100 anni e poi, finalmente lasciatelo dire, un palermitano che, al contraria di altri Mattei, Totò e similia, porta un po' di lustro a questa città così abbandonata.

Please note that I stated that Van Halen was doing a cover of the song, and not that they were the original writers of the song.
@@CerealDust-nStuff i know it came out in 1978 but it became a prevalent style in the 80s. Took time for people to get the track, listen, find the notes and master the style. There wasn't any internet for people to learn a song the very next day after release. You really should understand the reality of a situation before sounding like a smartass.

I'm just gobsmacked about how much young talent there is in the world today, this guy included. They are blowing away all my musical heroes, many of whom were in their 40s before they matured. Glad to witness it.

Chi conosce Matteo sa che questa esibizione non è assolutamente esplicativa del suo talento e della sua musicalità. È una roba solo per la tv, per chi non lo conosce bene, e potrebbe farsi una idea sbagliata di un musicista enormemente superiore a ciò che appare nel video.
E' comunque un rockettaro, anche un rocketaro oltre a tutto il resto che il suo immenso talento gli concede di essere. Non sviliamo nè il brano nè la sua esecuzione, che è chiaramente una citazione di Eddie decenni dopo, oltre ad essere immortale brano dei Kinks.
Un album l'ha fatto, due se contiamo anche quello con i Drift-Lab, ma all'estero già si conosce da molto prima. Di lui ne ha parlato gente del calibro di Al Di Meola (con cui ha anche suonato), Steve Vai e Joe Bonamassa. In Italia è la prima volta che si accorgono che esiste. Lui cita sempre EVH tra i suoi preferiti e tra le sue prime e principali influenze chitarristiche. Ergo, la versione si rifà a quella dal primo album omonimo dei Van Halen del 78, basta ascoltare e si sente, è proprio una cover della versione di EVH. I Kinks in questo caso non c'entrano, se non per essere gli autori del brano originale

This Guy is totally off this planet. Thers days when I'm playing guitar having been inspired by another Mancuso video and i think just forget trying to do anything this guy is capable of. He is the finest world player combining the elements of the virtuoso players of the last hundred years and more . Every top player knows he's untouchable in ability. Im just glad to be living in a time where this young go will be around to take it even further and to watch ,, such a nice guy too .. Man unbelievable

Ti seguo su YT da diverso tempo e finalmente ti fanno gli onori anche nella tv italiana...dopo che il tuo nome ha girato il mondo...purtroppo al momento in Italia la gente è ipnotizzata da talent show intenti a raccomandare e promuovere mediocri personaggi (e non mi riferisco solo ai concorrenti...). Ma chiunque ama la musica, e la chitarra in particolare, non potrà evitare di farsi ipnotizzare da te prima o poi.

Dal punto di vista tecnico e della versatilità è il numero uno al mondo, altro che 15 o 20. Suona tutti i generi alla grande. Anche per la tecnica unica al mondo. Dal punto di vista composizione invece, deve ancora fare molta strada. E la farà, ne sono convinto. L'ho visto dal vivo, è semplicemente stupefacente.

Chi conosce Matteo sa che questa esibizione non è assolutamente esplicativa del suo talento e della sua musicalità. È una roba solo per la tv, per chi non lo conosce bene, e potrebbe farsi una idea sbagliata di un musicista enormemente superiore a ciò che appare nel video.

E' comunque un rockettaro, anche un rocketaro oltre a tutto il resto che il suo immenso talento gli concede di essere. Non sviliamo nè il brano nè la sua esecuzione, che è chiaramente una citazione di Eddie decenni dopo, oltre ad essere immortale brano dei Kinks.

Un album l'ha fatto, due se contiamo anche quello con i Drift-Lab, ma all'estero già si conosce da molto prima. Di lui ne ha parlato gente del calibro di Al Di Meola (con cui ha anche suonato), Steve Vai e Joe Bonamassa.
In Italia è la prima volta che si accorgono che esiste.

Lui cita sempre EVH tra i suoi preferiti e tra le sue prime e principali influenze chitarristiche. Ergo, la versione si rifà a quella dal primo album omonimo dei Van Halen del 78, basta ascoltare e si sente, è proprio una cover della versione di EVH. I Kinks in questo caso non c'entrano, se non per essere gli autori del brano originale

This Guy is totally off this planet. Thers days when I'm playing guitar having been inspired by another Mancuso video and i think just forget trying to do anything this guy is capable of. He is the finest world player combining the elements of the virtuoso players of the last hundred years and more . Every top player knows he's untouchable in ability. Ti seguo su YT da diverso tempo e finalmente ti fanno gli onori anche nella tv italiana...dopo che il tuo nome ha girato il mondo...purtroppo al momento in Italia la gente è ipnotizzata da talent show intenti a raccomandare e promuovere mediocri personaggi (e non mi riferisco solo ai concorrenti...). Ma chiunque ama la musica, e la chitarra in particolare, non potrà evitare di farsi ipnotizzare da te prima o poi.
Sì ma la sua bravura la capisce soltanto chi è esperto chi ama questo mondo. Il grosso sta appresso a fenomeni da baraccone tipo i Maneskin.
