Apart from unreal technical ability, fantastic sense for rhythm and musical fluidity in his playing, even more impressive is the fact that all those elements translate equally brilliant on both electric and acoustic/classical guitar. Insanely talented player, honestly, I can't imagine that there's anything he can't do on guitar!

I've seen some talented guitarists on this youtube..but where others are excelent on a tecnical level ...they might miss out a bit creative improvising skills..but here Matteo Mancusso has got it all..playing on a classical...with the same ease as on electric guitar. It just blows my mind..

Amazing. Most of his videos are incredible shredding on electric but I love to hear more acoustic stuff from him. He is incredibly good at whatever he does.
The part I have the hardest time with is that he's just playing into a microphone some guy is pointing at him and he sounds this good. TH-cam is full of hype and overreaction but it's getting pretty difficult to deny that this guy is really really special.
I've taken to telling everyone I know who's interested in guitars etc, that there is a new genius out there. I don't know how others react, but for me he's the best I've come across in recent years. We all know there are hundreds [thousands] of amazing players out there that are not 'well-known' but none whose exciting playing has affected me just as much, even on his few videos on YT - which is all I have to go on.
Ricci Hardow yes I agree, since the advent of TH-cam etc. guitar virtuosos seem a dime a dozen. And we should all try and play from our soul and explore our own technical abilities. But don’t deny greatness when you see it, this kid is exceptional. There’s no way around this fact.
Mi domando come mai questo ragazzo fenomenale sia sconosciuto al grande pubblico e non appaia mai in una televisione che ci propina solo trash finanche nelle manifestazioni più importanti. Questo ragazzo si che è un fenomeno che va pubblicizzato ed ascoltato poiché per arrivare lì non ha vinto un talent ma ha fatto ore ed ore di esercizio quotidiano ed ha studiato musica al conservatorio. Dopodiché vi ha aggiunto il proprio modo geniale di coniugare vari stili ed il risultato si è compiuto. Mostri sacri della chitarra come Joe Bonamassa e Al di Meola (per citarne due) ne hanno parlato come di uno che è tre generazioni più avanti e qui in Italia (paese di nascita e residenza di questo fantastico ragazzo) il grande pubblico neanche lo conosce mentre invece conosce bene un sacco di “cantanti” (grazie all’autotune) che nei testi delle loro canzoni inneggiano a comportamenti antisociali e fanno brani gli uni uguali agli altri, praticamente senza melodie. Matteo Mancuso lo si ascolta per ore e incanta. Complimenti Matteo. Sono incredibilmente toccato dalla tue esibizioni e ti auguro un successo planetario perché lo meriti per i sacrifici che hai fatto per arrivare a questi livelli e per il tuo genio. 🔝

The greatest guitarist I have seen in the last few years. IMO, Matteo is rewriting the book, the way Yngwie and DiMeola did, on technique. Instead of one pick, you have five at your disposal, with superior tone and control. His lines are all transcription worthy, owing also to flawless intonation and incredible clarity of every note. What a genius.

Com'è già capitato a tanti di farlo, in molte performance di vari grandi musicisti come il sublime Matteo Mancuso, mi si conceda l'ardire di chiedere a quei pochi (numero sufficiente per una partita di calcetto, niente di più), cosa gli impedisce di apprezzare tale talento.
Semplice. O incompetenza, o mancanza di sensibilità musicale, oppure invidia. Non esiste una persona sensibile alla musica che possa non apprezzare un talento simile. E oltre al talento si vede il duro lavoro, la passione, la cultura.
