Triumph Scrambler 400X - a little bike for grown-ups?

- You’ve seen me ride the new Triumph Speed 400 here already but which would I have out of that or its Scrambler 400X brother? That’s the question I explore here, with my full ride and review from the official international launch event in Spain.
You’ll have to watch the vid for the full story but, in short, the Scrambler is based around the same 398cc single-cylinder engine and shares a lot of the parts with the more road-oriented Speed 400. But, for all the similarities, there are some important differences, too. Which I explore in detail here!
Hope you enjoy the video, hit me up with any questions and I’ll get back to you in the comments thread.

It's nice to hear a newer riders take on these bikes as you hopefully won't have the in built prejudices of a lot of the other reviewers who have been riding for a long time. These look great bikes and it's good that triumph have finally given riders a more accessible entry point into the brand.
Many thanks. Have also whatched your 1200XE video. Please can you review the Caballero 500 Rally as I'm also considering it.
Excelente vídeo! Assistindo e aguardando essa moto aqui no Brasil! Grande abraco!
Looks like a great bike! Can't wait for them to come to the States so I can test one out myself
They are selling out really fast in Canada. I just put a deposit on one and I was told they had already sold 75% of their allocation for this year. That’s a very high volume dealership I went to as well. I ordered mine in green, so excited for it to arrive!
When my lighter crf fell on me, on a hill, I suddenly didn't feel like it was light..took awhile to get out in fact .
Great review do you think the Royal Enfield Gorilla looks better then this bike?
I have one on order ,
Be interesting to see what the Speed is like off-road with a set of MT60s, which they make for this tyre size. The same ones found on the Ducati Scrambler.
Half the ponies and 60# lighter

Hello ! Thanks for the video. I think that thé scrambler is not for me bécasse I'm 5,44ft. What do you think about that ?
Scrambler 400eggs it’s not question of better but which one prefers
Bro improve your sound quality
Presume you mean for the riding commentary? That was a bit of a rushed rigging job and the roads were a bit faster so while I was doing my best to keep the speed and wind noise down the sound did suffer a bit, so apologies for that. Always a tricky balance but hopefully you got the gist of what I was saying!
Not very good video. You need to play it back and edit it before uploading to youtube. Could barely hear you even with computer volume on 100%. And your ride in this video, I could not hear the bike exhaust sound at all !!! Sorry. Try watching it yourself on your computer and see what I mean.
