I think the a6400 is the more "serious" one. It has all the options of the others and I have not yet found the limits of 4k recording. Yes, ZV10 makes it easy for the beginner, but all the modes and extra settings come in your aid when you finally learn what they all do. The only downside of the a6400 is the flip up screen instead of the one that flips to the side.
I currently own 3 lenses, a 50mm f1.8, the kit lens and an 18-105mm f4. The last one is the most practical, it has most focal ranges and the bokeh as you approach high focal lengths is amazing! Power zoom is steady as is the image (it has oss).
The kit lens is not that amazing but it gets you going.
The 50 mm has such a cinematic image, especially in good light. Very sharp and nice looking b rolls can be had with it. The background blur is great!
For vlog I'd consider the 10-18mm as it has oss, the 11-20 tamron or the 16mm sigma.
It's not a very heavy setup so if you pair it with a gimbal, you can say goodbye to giggly videos on the unstabilised lenses.

I mean it have Picture Profiles
      120fps in Full Hd
      4k no crop
      Changeable Lenses
And the price is very good
I was about to purchase a6100 which is more expensive than zve10 but the features are less in a6100
      What's the catch ?
This camera have everything I need
Is this don't camera record Audio in 120fps , I think it records
Why this camera is cheaper than a6100
      In my budget I can't purchase a6400 but I can purchase a6100
But Zve10 is even cheaper than a6100 with more features like picture profiles
      I'm really confused

    • @mihaiserbanescu8676
      @mihaiserbanescu8676 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@realworld1626 it's a newer camera, zv e10 is better than the a6100, especially on video. It does 4k, it has some sort of stabilization even though, it's done in post processing. The tech under the hood is not much different but the software is, and you get better video options with the zv e10. I think the a6400 is a bit better, but no stabilization.

Its suppose to be a feature to put the screen at the side so it doesnt clash with the microphone, but the sockets on the right mean the cables block the screen instead! The ZV1 has the sockets on the left hand side... keeping the cables clear (for the mic, hdmi and power cables while shooting)

Note @12:13 - ZX-E10 kit lens is 16-50 but accounting for 1.5 crop factor its actually a 24-75 mm equivalent. ZV-1 is a 9.4-25.7 lens which with the more intense crop on the 1" sensor plays out to 24-70mm - so no difference in focal length at the wide end.

I’m really happy with my purchase of the ZV-E10. I wanted something that had the ability to have interchangeable lenses but that was aimed at content creators. I like the articulating LCD that’s a huge win in my book. I wish more camera makers would do that. The one thing I don’t like about this camera is not having a view finder. I don’t like taking pictures off of the LCD I prefer using the viewfinder and that’s the one drawback for this camera that I can complain about.

Nice comparison of these three - quick correction though, the kit lens on the ZV-E10 and the built in lens on the ZV-1 are both a 24mm equivalent - so neither should be wider. Obviously with the E10 you can simply put on a wide angle lens like the 10-18mm which is a huge plus. I'm going to pick up a ZV-1 to pair with my A6600 for use as a secondary / overhead camera.

Just sharing: I've been recording at least 2 videos per week in 4K for the whole year with the A6400 and NEVER had any overheating. Sometimes it would be running for one hour or more. The only time I had overheating was when I used the power adapter with some external USB prolonging cable, but without the prolonging cable it never happened. I don't know about outdoor usage, since I always film inside and the room is kept at a mild temperature. But since it doesn't have IBS I wouldn't consider it great for vlogging anyways, and if you're shooting indoors on a tripod you can get excellent footage.

I used a6400 for ~2 years. Frequently filming outdoors, often in hot conditions. It overheated on me once on very long shoot in direct sunlight. I'd have covered it with white tissue or something next time, but apart from that - NO ISSUES with overheating in a6400. I had it plugged to power and stream for 2+ hours - no problem at all. From what I heard, overheating was more a6300/a6500 issue.

You also could mention its the same inconvenience with zv-e10 if you use it as webcam as a6400 when you use it with mic. They are all good as webcam generally but a6400 wins just a little bit because of tilt up screen. But still zv-e10 is generally comfortable so its nice, but its a little bit optimised for filming rather webcam

I like your videos, but I don't really recommend the E10 to anyone. Rolling shutter, lack of stabilization, etc. should simply be mentioned in such a "comparison". The ZV-1 does a better job for the money. If you want more, you should take a look at the a6600.

12:05 I noticed a mistake here. He claims the ZV1 is isn't as wide as the ZV-E10 because it's 24mm compared to 16mm. But that spec is written in Full Frame Equivalence. For reference, the ZV-E10 with a 16mm lens is a 24mm Full Frame Equivalent as well.

I agree that the best overall and easiest option for mainly video is the ZV-E10, but if you also shoot photos I feel the a6400 is more versatile: the lack of a viewfinder in the ZV cameras is a huge deal for me, and also the mode dial are quite handy…probably I’m biased since I have the a6400 but I feel the video doesn’t do it justice; the message I get from the video is that there is no reason at all for the a6400 whereas I think it has a place especially in photography

Hello, I have the a5100, and I want to buy a new one, in my country, the a6400 is difficult to find and more than 400 dollars more expensive, so, only in relation to the image, there is some difference in image quality between the two ? It is the only thing that matters most to me and I would like to complement it with the Sony 18-235 lens.

I have the a6500 from 2016 and it consistently records track meet at 4K/24p for 8-9 hours continuously in 75 deg F with no overheating. Same with the Sony RX10m3. The Sony a7S3 can only do this extended recording if in 8 bit 60fps.

the zv-e10 can be continuously charged while recording when plugged via usb-c, so i wouldn't buy a special battery to have unlimited power, it's a little un-necessary (I think)

  • @DennisMeetsWorld

Idk why you are telling people the 16-50mm kit lens is wider than the ZV-1’s 24-70mm. They are both 24mm at their widest in 35mm full frame equivalent. APS-C sensors have a 1.5x crop so the 16mm is actually 24mm when you’re using it on a crop body camera like the ZV-E10 or A6400.
