I don't currently use this set up any longer. I believe iw ould turn the eq off on the amp, run preamps through the amp, and then adjust the highs and lows of the amp to work with the preamp. I find that just using some good impulse responses really get you close to a true amp sound without having to mess with a bunch of setup. I use ownhammer.
What if you just use a tube amp with your helix through fx loop and lower the master volume from helix without using a load box ? How does the load box make a difference here ?
The particular amp doesn't have a loop. You could do that, its know at the 4 cable method. The load box allows me to put the amp into the helix directly without blowing it or my helix up. Also, if you try this, make sure your outputs are set correctly. Send 1- instrument level return 2 line level. otherwise you get level and impedance issues.
nice
Hey how are you doing?
Are you running the hx preamps into the preamp of the amp, or are those patches routed to amp effects loop?
