THANK YOU guys for the amount of support I’ve received on this video (despite being hit with some downvote attack overnight). I had fun making the guide though and hope it helps someone out there! ^.^ Edit: it looks like the bot dislikes were removed?! Yay!
@@jamierose9095 what secrets do you think savage raiders hoard bro? everything gets posted to Balance, even speedrunners will share strats if u want to try speed killing. not really sure what u think is kept secret
The amount of effort you put in is noticeable, and I'm 100% certain this video will definitely help some of the newcomers should they choose to get into savage raids! Cheers Midna!
This is an excellent starter guide either for new raiders or for raiders coming over from WoW, and I feel like that's something that's been missing from our resource collection. Great work, Midna!
Bruh, from the get go talking about ilvl and improvement resources and wrapping up by addressing mentality make your guide uniquely helpful when compared to other guides. This is the guide that is most appropriate to the current landscape of raiding what with so many new people getting into it. Good job, Midna.
I think this is wonderful! Your voice makes it very easy to understand and is relaxing and your cover even to most basic of information for true beginners! Please keep it up and keep doing what you're doing. You're appreciated!!!
Solid primer for people looking to get into savage raiding. Hopefully this encourages more people to take that first step and open up the door to what is, IMO, the best content in the game.
Thanks a lot for this video! I'm considering more and more starting raiding (even if I have doubt about my skills) and this kind of videos is really a big help for me! (Plus you have a soft voice which make it very pleasant to listen to!) Thank you so much for this nice guide!
Really Nice and informative video! Love the editing and your voice is soo soothing. I am sure this will help a ton of new savage raiders. I really loved when u talked not only about savage raids but also the mental state for savage raiding which is extremely important. Respect Midna!!
@@superhammie17 I'm on Lich, Light (main) But I think I have a char on cactuar although it's really low level. I could level it up maybe this weekend :-)
For someone completely new to the endgame, your video was super informative! I'm much more confident about getting my feet wet with savage raiding, thank you for your content!
Oh wow, I remember watching your Should you Play video when I was first getting into the game and although I've been in savage for a bit already, this is a really wonderful video to watch. Hopefully I can bring some more friends into savage with this, it's so well put together!
Thank you for the video! Even though I watch guide and after guide, and I'm sure I can recite my openers/rotations in my sleep, I haven't tackled any savage content due to the anxiety of potentially underperforming optimally. This video has eased it quite a bit. ^-^
honestly I just came across this because my nephew just started playing ffxiv with me and i wanted to get him into raiding. and wow it’s still relevant, it literally goes from “wow she is talking about ilvl and everything in between, he’ll get a lot out of this” to “damn i don’t feel as stressed out myself now when I raid”
This is a pretty good beginners guide. Really liked your focus on mentality and being patient. Will link this to new players that are interested in raiding. My only >criticism< is that I feel like you could have better emphasized the importance of knowing your role (job) and what is expected of you. IMO the importance of knowing the ins and outs of your job's rotation cannot be overstated. But other than that, good job! The downvotes are confusing tho wut????
Raider here that’s cleared the current tier. I’m not sure why this has so many downvotes. I’ve been looking for a guide like this to send to my friends that want to get into raiding. I think you really should’ve pushed for people to find a static rather than pugs though. Thanks for the video!
a couple of notes: Visit saltedxiv (which has all the class guides and the bis from the balance) and has strategy guides for the fights if you need them links to all the video guides and some decent text guides. If you're a tank: stop provoking 50 times in a fight (it really doesn't do anything if you're first on the aggro table), and stand still!!! Try to move the boss as little as possible. You'll likely have 2 melee DPS who need to do their rotation and their positionals. A boss that's moving or spinning constantly is not good for DPS. When people say know your rotation that means you need to be able to almost do it blindly on a dummy. If you can't do that in a fight that's fine, but try not to look at your action bars whenever possible so you can see what the boss is doing. Also, know what other tools your class offers. Addle, reprisal, feint, ... are all very valuable tools to reduce the damage output of the boss. They are also part of your rotation... in a way, and they make the fights easier in the end. One more minor downside to party finder: they all have different macros... ALWAYS. if you use FFlogs or someone in your party does, and they upload it, go find that log and visit xivanalysis. It can give you very valuable information on what you need to improve on.
There's a lot of good info in here that will be helpful for a beginner. Main thing is to get the new raiders in the right mindset to start doing the harder content.
I have a 4 player static rn. We’re all looking to do Savages now and will have 4/8 players on call and the other 4 in PF. Hopefully that’s enough to get through them in a reasonable amount of time.
omg! I had to look you up on fflogs because your character looked familiar! But do you remember earlier this week 2 other astros standing next to you in Iidlyshyer with the uwu and tea astro weapons? One was me lol! What a great video you made! I'm so glad it came up on my recommended! You did an amazing job! ❤❤❤
How are all the comments positive and the downvotes negative? Video still has a tone of decent informations to how to get into raiding I am a bit confused here? Was it post to the anti-raid depths of reddit?
I'm confused, I want to upgrade from Shire gear (IL-270) to the Alexandrian gear (IL-275) and to do that I have to do alexander savage raids, which means I have to unlock savage raids at level 80? At that point my IL would way exceed 275. There has to be a different way to unlock savage raids.
What was wrong wit this video? I’m a causal and I just learned a lot of new info 😇. Great video well put together keep it up u get a like and subscribe 😎
I played japan servers random partys and got most first go from nuts players carrying me done that a few times and watched the mechanics until they sunk in
Awesome guide! I do think you shouldn't recommend stone sky sea though. It isn't super useful and the dps requirements are pretty screwy. For example, some red mage dummies have more health than sam dummies, which shouldn't be the case. 99% of high level raiders I know personally don't think stone sky sea is remotely useful. Everything else in the guide is amazing though! Good job ^^
Thanks for your input! However, this video is not intended for high level raiders so I can’t imagine them finding the dummies that useful vs going directly into the fight. This is simply to introduce the DPS check to someone who has little to no experience and giving them a relaxed setting to practice their rotation while also having a goal in mind.
THANK YOU guys for the amount of support I’ve received on this video (despite being hit with some downvote attack overnight). I had fun making the guide though and hope it helps someone out there! ^.^

Not sure why people would have an issue with this, information was good and concise. Additionally, more people in raid content is always a good thing!
If you don't mind me asking do you have any plans of continuing your Persona 4 playthrough?
I’ve actually completed it but haven’t touched the rest of the editing I need to do for it ; A ; I plan to play P5R and strikers though!
