I feel the need to remind people that Light did research on his victims, he criticized Higutchi for not doing so sparking the thought that Kira 1 operated how he would have done it. The innocent people number has got to be at least a bit lower.
Also because of that research people whose cases were decided by plea bargain would have been taken into account. And Light kills people who are just suspects because the flaws in the criminal justice system let some people off really easy and punishes others far to harshly. I think it's an interesting debate as to whose fault it is for the deaths caused by the kiras mainly Light Yagami. Many people blame Ryuk and his boredom being the cause but there is no question that Light is directly responsible. While some blame can be put on Ryuk it's like he says the person who finds the death note is not selected so how could he have known what Light was capable of? Ryuk even seems a bit put off sometimes by the way Light behaves which says alot. All I'm saying is that while Ryuk may be indirectly responsible for the deaths, the true monster of death note was indeed a human, Light Yagami

If you didn't notice, L closed his eyes slowly which means he accepted defeat despite knowing the truth from the beginning, it's the opposite of what light did in his final moments.

I feel the need to remind people that Light did research on his victims, he criticized Higutchi for not doing so sparking the thought that Kira 1 operated how he would have done it. The innocent people number has got to be at least a bit lower.
Also because of that research people whose cases were decided by plea bargain would have been taken into account. And Light kills people who are just suspects because the flaws in the criminal justice system let some people off really easy and punishes others far to harshly. I think Light was aware of these flaws and that’s *why* he became Kira. We can’t forget that Light is a genius and a perfectionist. He wouldn’t take short cuts when he could avoid it.

I think it's an interesting debate as to whose fault it is for the deaths caused by the kiras mainly Light Yagami. Many people blame Ryuk and his boredom being the cause but there is no question that Light is directly responsible. While some blame can be put on Ryuk it's like he says the person who finds the death note is not selected so how could he have known what Light was capable of? Ryuk even seems a bit put off sometimes by the way Light behaves which says alot. All I'm saying is that while Ryuk may be indirectly responsible for the deaths, the true monster of death note was indeed a human, Light Yagami

You know, when light took over as L and the killings INCREASED that should have been a red flag for the task force.........or just the fact that Light was REALLY bad at his job and maybe after a month or so they should have reconsidered.
They probably thought that Kira knew that L died without knowing that Kira was Light somehow 🤷

The bigger question was what the HECK was an entire task force doing over years to try and catch a criminal who left no physical evidence. Like what did their average work day look like.
In the clip where it shows how many names were written in the first five days, you can see that multiple pages have been filled out (porbably about 8 on the right and written on both sides of the page so about 17 considering that there was a new page started on the left) which means about 2156606.4 kills

It definatly is. Light say in the (I think second? Episode) of the anime "Kira is what they are calling me now." And L confirms by saying "they are calling him Kira for the English word killer."

rsking true however imagine that everyone who had a heart attack in Lights world assumed it was from Kira. That would not only force others to believe u have done wrong (or at least for themselves to believe that for their own sake), but then u would be convinced your terrible. Also, I have never had a heart attack, but I THINK 🤔 it is pretty painful.
