A few thoughts that I'm excited to discuss: - As far as "Why wouldn't Deku inherit the same transformation power?" As I understand it, One for All isn't about actual POWERS getting passed down, but rather storing ENERGY. Despite being the eighth in line, All Might is just really strong -- he doesn't really demonstrate a lot of other quirks/powers like you would expect. That would imply either A) everyone who came before him had the quirk of "Super Strength" which seems unlikely or B) that One for All is more about absorbing the ENERGY of the users who came before and adding it up in the next person, almost as if you're adding the power levels from Dragon Ball Z. - Regarding the "I'm always flexing" explanation from Episode 2...he still needs a certain amount of energy to flex. That's' why he's only able to do it for a few hours and why, as One for All fades away, he can no longer "flex." But wouldn't that still classify it as a Transformation Quirk? His body IS changing. It just feels like an incomplete explanation...It could also be that he's lying. At this point in the series, Deku is still just a random kid, not a candidate for One for All, so presumably All Might wouldn't want to give away too much information. That's also why he avoids the specifics around where he got his injury from. - It's also clear that All Might's normal form is his skinny form. As we see in the training clips of young All Might, he was never naturally that buff. And that's him using One for All at nearly 100% right off the bat? Maybe I'm just reading too far into that moment.
I think it’s safe to say that this theory got debunked since Deku was able to receive the quirks of all the previous users. That’s also kind of a plot hole, with this in mind. If he was able to use Blackwhip, Danger Sense, Etc. then Deku should have been able to use the transformation quirk All Might had. But that would DRASTICALLY change Deku’s appearance from what we’re used to and would undermine the drawback and selling point of his struggle. So I understand why it wasn’t included in that sense. Practically speaking though, he should have at least had access to it
Not just that you also have the part about how it cut their lifespans short. Like with the third or fourth user, I forget which, who had died of old age after going off on his own to develop one for all.
Remember that deku discovered those quirks on the way so that doesn't mean that he can't discover the transformation quirk and he is still learning how to control the other quirk's

I always assumed that since all might’s muscle form is what he looked like all the time before he was injured, he was just reverting to the last time his body could handle one for all since if he tried to use it while he was skinny, he would have blown his arms off

Remember that Tooru used a technique that released a light so bright she dazzled everyone that was looking at her? Well, that being said, Her quirk is not being invisible, it's changing how her skin reacts to the light. If her skin absorbs all the light, she can not be seen (since no colors ricochet and get to our eyes), but if she reflect all the light, then rip everyone's eyes. What if she can make her skin react as she was made of mirrors that let you see closer? Man, that would be interesting to see. I mean, IF we can see it, right?
Exept that doesn't explain how the tech is the same and they dont call them quirks and yes they prolly changed to name of them but look at the evidence and they have different names and that wouldnt explain the other worldly mutants or people on the same lvl as goku's from dragon ball but not even midoriya or allmight even reach at the peak of their powers

For the term quirk everything can be changed even the name "quirks" can change to "mutations" or "powers" with time, even a country can change name with time because of some event. And it was never said which years they are in One Punch Man, it could be 1 million years later, and finally in mha (in the manga for now) it is said that with each generation quirks becomes more and more powerful. So this theory could be possible actually .

Well, the All Might theory Is kinda dumb. If you've seen him when he was younger he looks alot more simmaler to his muscle form. His body was damaged during a fight and becuase of this it seems to look smaller, the muscle just makes his body look bigger. During the fight with AFO he dealt the finishing blow without making his whole body 'musclely'. (Im sorry 😢 I got carried away.)

The muscle form thing is explained in the second chapter, he got an injury that destroyed his stomach, so he couldn't keep up the muscle, making it like holding your gut in. The reason deku gets hurt and can't activate is because one for all combines the muscle power of 9 people

I think that quirks that been passed on (even by the parents to their child) become generally stronger every time they been passed on. It's stated in the anime that the newer generations get stronger and stronger quirks and one for all is pretty much just speeding that process up to a single person.

When Izuku uses 1,000,000% of One for All it’s been stated by the author that he wasn’t actually using that much, in fact he wasn’t even close to using 100%. It was meant to be a show of Izuku’s feelings and will, and how he in that moment was willing to push further than he ever has before. The percentages aren’t meant to be taken literally, and so while Izuku FELT like he was using 1,000,000% of One for All’s power, he could have in reality only been using something along the lines of 20%. Put exactly as the author stated, percentages = a show of his fighting spirit, like a shout of his feelings.
Plus All Might even says that Deku's maximum output was around (probably below, let's be honest) 5%. When he hit that "million" he just probably bumped it up like you said. If he actually tried to use 100% his arm probably would have just exploded into a bloody mist

Perhaps giving it to All Might was a final, selfish effort, before the decision was finally made to give OFA to a quirkless hero.

Wasn't it already said in the mangaka that the quirk alters the user's body in some way during the quirk's use and this change is unique to each user? Maybe the embers are gone but the muscle form is genetic residue (no extra strength just a cosmetic change).
If the quirk takes the user’s quirk and adds it to one for all so that the quirk can get more powerful. So therefore whenever ‘Dæku’ uses one for all it should give him b u f f

6:19 the first time we see deku use his quirk (in the entrance exam) he focuses 100% of it into his arm, we can clearly see its muscle grow to like double, yes that isnt the 100x we see on all might, and i dont know what the deal about that is. but we do see the quirk enlarge the muscles on deku. Here’s my take on all of this : 1. When All Might inherited One for All, he was older and taller so he had an advantage over Deku who was a scrawny middle schooler 2. If the power gets stronger as it is passed on and All Might is the first person to become the #1 hero with it, then it’s possible it wasn’t as strong being passed on to All Might so he could take it, as compared to Deku who is inheriting it at a stronger level then All Might did 3. From what I’ve picked up on, All Might was able to work his body out to get to be as big and strong as he was and stay in that form. But due to to his injuries, it somehow morphed the quirk into a transformation as his body couldn’t hold the power all the time like it did before
You are ight, that is the main theory, One for all **Remembers** the user's strongest form so when all might was in his prime he had that muscle build and one for all **remembered** that form now after half of his respiratory system was destroyed he became weak and frail, but when he used one for all , it reverted him back to his prime state, so if deku became muscled and then lost his muscles, he would become muscled when he used his quirk

now that the series has progressed I think there are some new things that compliment this theory. There is another difference between Deku and All Might outside of the obvious transformation, Deku is able to access all the quirks stored inside one for all and All Might cannot. maybe the reason all might can't use all of its quirks comes down to him having his own quirk and Deku being truly quirkless. like all might said, only a qurikless user can wield the full potential of one for all.

The muscle form thing is explained in the second chapter, he got an injury that destroyed his stomach, so he couldn't keep up the muscle, making it like holding your gut in. The reason deku gets hurt and can't activate is because one for all combines the muscle power of 9 people

I think that quirks that been passed on (even by the parents to their child) become generally stronger every time they been passed on.
It's stated in the anime that the newer generations get stronger and stronger quirks and one for all is pretty much just speeding that process up to a single person.

Honestly, even though this theory has been firmly debunked, I still love this theory. It all makes so much sense and does everything a good theory should. Its a great theory and actually makes more sense than what we got
One thing that I know doesn't matter but I'm gonna say anyway, is that Izuku didn't use "1,000,000 percent" of One For All, he was merely expressing his emotions at the time. This is explained in the manga from a note by Kohei Horiokshi.

When Izuku uses 1,000,000% of One for All it’s been stated by the author that he wasn’t actually using that much, in fact he wasn’t even close to using 100%. It was meant to be a show of Izuku’s feelings and will, and how he in that moment was willing to push further than he ever has before. The percentages aren’t meant to be taken literally, and so while Izuku FELT like he was using 1,000,000% of One for All’s power, he could have in reality only been using something along the lines of 20%. Put exactly as the author stated, percentages = a show of his fighting spirit, like a shout of his feelings.
Plus All Might even says that Deku's maximum output was around (probably below, let's be honest) 5%. When he hit that "million" he just probably bumped it up like you said. If he actually tried to use 100% his arm probably would have just exploded into a bloody mist
Yup that 100%mode is him just using the form that burst his arm but it wasnt controlled like how if you master one for all you can use your full power without killing your arm

But, it's easy to believe that in an effort to defeat AFO, they passed it to All Might, knowing he had a quirk, and Deku was actually the first quirkless user.
Perhaps giving it to All Might was a final, selfish effort, before the decision was finally made to give OFA to a quirkless hero.

When I first saw this theory I remember thinking how dumb this anime looked. Then I watched it.

Everyone makes mistakes.
Wasn't it already said in the mangaka that the quirk alters the user's body in some way during the quirk's use and this change is unique to each user? Maybe the embers are gone but the muscle form is genetic residue (no extra strength just a cosmetic change).

6:19 the first time we see deku use his quirk (in the entrance exam) he focuses 100% of it into his arm, we can clearly see its muscle grow to like double, yes that isnt the 100x we see on all might, and i dont know what the deal about that is. but we do see the quirk enlarge the muscles on deku.

Here’s my take on all of this :
1. When All Might inherited One for All, he was older and taller so he had an advantage over Deku who was a scrawny middle schooler
2. If the power gets stronger as it is passed on and All Might is the first person to become the #1 hero with it, then it’s possible it wasn’t as strong being passed on to All Might so he could take it, as compared to Deku who is inheriting it at a stronger level then All Might did
3. From what I’ve picked up on, All Might was able to work his body out to get to be as big and strong as he was and stay in that form. But due to to his injuries, it somehow morphed the quirk into a transformation as his body couldn’t hold the power all the time like it did before

You are ight, that is the main theory, One for all **Remembers** the user's strongest form so when all might was in his prime he had that muscle build and one for all **remembered** that form now after half of his respiratory system was destroyed he became weak and frail, but when he used one for all , it reverted him back to his prime state, so if deku became muscled and then lost his muscles, he would become muscled when he used his quirk
Technically, but it could have something to do with a previous users quirk which deku wouldn’t have activated yet, but theoretically all might would have, since he’s mastered the ability

now that the series has progressed I think there are some new things that compliment this theory.
There is another difference between Deku and All Might outside of the obvious transformation, Deku is able to access all the quirks stored inside one for all and All Might cannot. maybe the reason all might can't use all of its quirks comes down to him having his own quirk and Deku being truly quirkless. like all might said, only a qurikless user can wield the full potential of one for all.
