I've been pretty invested in Alex Bale's ARG for a long while now, and seeing MatPat make a theory on it is like witnessing two Creative Worlds Collide! It's awesome.
To me, "mother colony" smacks much more of something one of my discord friends told me about. Apparently the olive garden he used to work at made a lot of their bread from pieces of a mother yeast colony that they had been feeding and keeping alive for years. In the context of food preparation, I think this is what is being referenced by the series.
They've been feeding it and keeping it alive for years to harvest pieces of it. Somehow, a mother yeast colony at an Olive Garden and a fictional monster from a horror series have something in common.

It's funny as we grew up on the game theories we slowly started going "hmm I really want to learn about food" and slowly moved over to food theory and we wanted scares occasionally and moved to film theory for that, very perfect channels always makes me happy to see a new video

Way more than half. There are the SpongeBob theories, the Cynical Critic, Sonc the Blue Rat, Conspiracy Carl, Paradox1313, Wesley Harold Films… Happy Meat Farms is literally only like one seventh of the story. Maybe more like one eighth, because I think there were also a lot of Reddit posts that were part of the ARG too
I don't think he's missing it. At least the other major part. Certain phrasing im regards to Alex Bale, and the fact he's using the black tentacles in relation to 'mother' shows he is aware of the muses and the ARG with the SpongeBob theories, but isn't discussing them in this video. Either because he's saving it for the next video, or my personal preference, he's going to finally be a part of the ARG in some way
Alex Bale is the creator and a character of this ARG. The 'spongebob guy' is a major plot point, while the spongebob theories are hints of sort. There are so many interconnected things, it's very impressive.
Happy Meat Farms has got to be my favorite arg at the moment. I've been super into args for quite a while, so that's saying something! The visual body-horror combined with manually combing through files really gets me excited, and I absolutely love it!

Decided to watch this again and look into it more when I found that the TH-cam channel "this place is not happy" had a new upload 2 weeks ago about their IT department. Definitely got some new information in that upload.
The human experiments are the muses. In Alex bale's latest video we see a close up of one and it looks mutated and covered in eyes, the Muse's goal is to bring back the mother. They can replicate humans appearance so I am guessing they are trying to turn humans into Muses. IT IS A SUCCESS because happy meet farm is run by the original muses and are trying to make different variations of said muses. They want the host muse to spread and replicate so that's why that is a success.
I’d really love to see a theory on The Long Dark (a winter survival game). There’s a lot to cover, from the survival mechanics to the story and it’s unsolved lore (such as what has happened to the mainland).
I’d be really interested to see what his take on the story is given Episode 5 is supposed to be the last one. Just one more episode left, so what can you interpret from what’s been shown so far? Edit: the last of the main story at least. They just announced DLC a few days ago.
The ARG is infact almost finished, just on 2 separate channels, Alex Bale’s and Sinical’s channel as it is all apart of one big ARG called “Don’t Feed the Muse”

Happy Meat Farms has got to be my favorite arg at the moment. I've been super into args for quite a while, so that's saying something! The visual body-horror combined with manually combing through files really gets me excited, and I absolutely love it!

The human experiments are the muses. In Alex bale's latest video we see a close up of one and it looks mutated and covered in eyes, the Muse's goal is to bring back the mother. They can replicate humans appearance so I am guessing they are trying to turn humans into Muses. IT IS A SUCCESS because happy meet farm is run by the original muses and are trying to make different variations of said muses. They want the host muse to spread and replicate so that's why that is a success.
This one was genuinely unnerving when I watched 8-bitryan react to this. It's absolutely terrifying.

I’d really love to see a theory on The Long Dark (a winter survival game). There’s a lot to cover, from the survival mechanics to the story and it’s unsolved lore (such as what has happened to the mainland).
I’d be really interested to see what his take on the story is given Episode 5 is supposed to be the last one. Just one more episode left, so what can you interpret from what’s been shown so far?
Edit: the last of the main story at least. They just announced DLC a few days ago.
The ARG is infact almost finished, just on 2 separate channels, Alex Bale’s and Sinical’s channel as it is all apart of one big ARG called “Don’t Feed the Muse”
