Wingman HM Prototype Test Flight - 1S 18650 VTC5A 19mins!

- Testing this time:
-HM ELRS F4 AIO - Incredible performance down to 2.8V
-HM 1102.5 11500kv - Much more efficient and powerful than previously tested Rcinpower equivalent thanks to /I believe/ quite improved features; curved magnets, lower airgap...maybe at the expense of less smoothness?
-BF4.3 RC2 - Necessary for latest ELRS 2.0 fw, default tune is pretty wobbly, lots of oscillations will need to be dampened down further down for the BNF
-Onboard VTX - tested for multipathing prone environment with linear antenna; came out ok, you can notice the feed gets significantly better once out of the structure
-SMT ELRS antenna - stock antenna is tucked in a bit far between the CF, I had telemetry loss on the parking, might replace it with a UFL on the BNF to pull a dipole out the front cage
-New frame toughness - did a few scraps and couple little crashes on concrete, nothing but light scuffs
Overall extremely pleased with the results; 19mins flight time out of a single, 3400mAh li-ion cell is blowing my mind.
Also amazing is the fact I could still pull out flips and rolls down to the last few minutes, whereas the previous built could barely gain altitude anymore long before that
I believe with a better tune I could totally play with the 30mins flight time on a 3000mAh VTC6 cruise flight
Super excited to bring it out!

Looking forward to future updates. Subscribed to make sure I don't miss it.
awesome!!!
Now I want one of those too🤣
Hehe you'll get a lot of fun from it I'm sure, stay tuned Collin!
Very cool! Still on gemfan 3018? What frame are you using? Some kind of 3" toothpick frame?
yep 3018 biblades they're perfect for that build. Frame is my own design, you can check it out here facebook.com/FractalEngineeringShop/posts/353709779834355 (or search on the page "fractalwingman")
@@fractalengineering Oh that is very cool. Yes I see you'd need to have biblade to pocket it. It's like a mavic mini but actually fun! To go with this, having a small TX with flip-up monitor would be very pocketable. I was working on a setup like that a while ago but my monitor was a watch and the reception was too poor. I think the NBD Beemote with a 3 or 4" screen would be great. I hear they are working on a new beemote .... if it was elrs it would be perfect.
One step closer to birds!!!
well technically, if it flies and got a surveillance camera, isn't it one already? :D
@@fractalengineering govt tech is a few year ahead of the consumer market...
Please post which parts you used. I would love to build one. Or if you have a build video, please link.
Thank You
Can you tell me what parts you used? Just got the frame and want to start betting the parts.
my brother in christ the build list is literally in the description 😄
Also added a link to the shop where you'll find more infos in the product page if you've purchased it from one of our dealers
@@fractalengineering oh. Thanks a bunch. 🤣
@@fractalengineeringI may just keep this frame for parts and just get the BNF wingman. Any idea when the regular wingman bnf will be back in stock? The analog. Thanks
@@damienkinchen very well; I'm expecting X12 resupply next week or the one after, but that just reminds me that I can actually add the X12 Lite + OVX300 option! Will do it later today; cheers
@@fractalengineering right on. Thanks a bunch.
