All the times that I've been x-rayed I've never got to see this process and this makes me feel a whole lot better take the edge off of things knowing this thanks for sharing this
I got the chance to hang out with QC and X-Ray guys early in my welding career. I really believe it helped me to be a better welder faster. Mostly because the uncertainty of what they were looking for, and understanding the tolerances, helped me to just relax and weld. Your doing a great service to all of us, with your content. Really appreciate it, Thank You.
My daughter graduates HS in May, and is enrolled in Western Welding Academy in Gillette, Wyoming in August. We watch your vids together, regularly, and very much enjoy the entertainment and education…. Thanks for your channel and content.
@ I feel ya! I’m a combo welder. I have done it with an iPhone and turning the darkness down and by filming through a lens. Anyway good content brother!
😄👍 man.. here's an example.. My dad is a guitar pro, and for me, looking at him playing is crazy. It is impossible for me😄 I told him the same thing! "You make it look so easy"... everybody has a talent because of so many years of practice.. that's all it is man

Man, the sun fills good in winter.. that morning was cold, and i rather have my hands flexible and not freezing where you can't move them, lol! Anyway its all good 😉 On the X-rays procedure? not sure, I didn't even ask what procedure they were using..
Noob question, I know... Why bother starting at a lower amperage and then increase it? Always seemed to work better, for me, starting at a higher amperage and then decreasing it (easier starts).
In the beat? I actually decreased the amps when i started the beat.. it was a little bit too hot, but it worked out pretty well..I always set my machine on 65 but it was a little cold morning and this SA-200 tend to be a little hot in the mornings.. should have put it on 60 amps to start
El David es mi cuñado y el Alejandro mi carnal bro te reconoci en un video anterior k subiste y le comente a mi cuñado y dijo k simon es mi compa aqui jala conmigo haha que chido los videos saludos 👍🏽
I don't think so because they have to turn in every film of each weld to the company that hires them, so I don't think they are going to put their jobs on the line just for a bad weld.. just think about it.. imagine a bad weld blows up, they are going investigate who did that bad weld and also who X-ray that weld.. that's the whole point of X-ray, to prove that every weld is going to hold that pressure
@@gustavojr841 I was thinking more of flunking a good weld with the hope of taking more pictures and making more money. Like a factory where they think more will attempt the test if they fail a few. I was involved where this was pondered by me and the company I worked for. They wouldn't return the coupon or show the pass or fail. The coupon due to radiation but why not show the fail?
@@johndoe43 X-ray hands hate doing things twice prolly more than anyone else. Every time that source of radiation goes out of the shielded position in the exposure device is a time it might not come back in to the shielded position. Precautions are always take. And equipment inspected but it happens from time to time. When it does happen it’s beyond a paper work and government involving nightmare to deal with and would shut down the whole work site for hours.

Does your pancake lens flash when you grind?
Yes, a little bit.. I have the sensitivity set on 0, so it gives me a little chance to see while grinding
