Never seen someone eyeball a flange with a square like that! Definitely a quick method! I’ve always had the square on the flange face and measured off the pipe. The best fab guys know how to use their tolerances to make them faster. Nice work man!
I like that counterweight for your roll out. Smart. My Grand pa always told me "work smarter, not harder". I noticed right off when I first started watching your channel how neat and tidy you roll up and keep your Rig. Always looks like a sharp suit for a business man, in our business. God bless brother, work safe.
Hey Gus! Just came over from Austin's channel and subscribed. Your channel brings back a ton of cool memories. After my Senior year of High school I worked for H&W Tool and die as a Roughneck on the oil rigs in Abilene and the area. I made friends with an older welder and that was it. I found my love. I ended up working a few years and saving money to go back to school for a degree in chemical engineering. I have had my fill of the crazies in that industry and miss the oilfields. I still have a Miller Bobcat and a Hobart 300 that was used on the Alaskan pipeline. I am almost done building a machine shop to be able to make all the parts for my dream garage where i am going to do TH-cam videos restoring and building pre WWI race cars. Keep up the great work...BTW I am in cold PA right now but I am planning on coming back....I am also keeping my eyes out for a basket case Sa200 to restore and put on a '45 cabbed F350 with a cummins, pipeliner bed and dually's...Love your rig brother!!!
Nice to see someone still stick welding! Way too many squirt gun welders out there. My dad started out welding those pipes by torch welding. He was amazing at it till the day he died with a torch and filler rod. We made a set of racks for my pick-up truck. He wanted to do the welding. Every weld on the project was torch welded. Never even a crack after 15yrs! He lives on because the things he created will be around for a long time! He was so secretive about his techniques he wouldn’t even let me his son watch some of the more difficult welds he did. He’d go from flat to vertical to overhead and never touch the heat. 7018 was his and mine go to rod.
Hello lm Nolan, I would like to now how to make a counter balance, what you used to make the balance's out of. I need one once in a while would like your in put please. Injoy your video's, you do great work. Thank you be blessed.
5:52 040824 Gus haces excelentes trabajos con la tubería, una propuesta podrías hacer un video sobre el mecanismo que usas y donde colocas una brida y cual es el tamaño de mínimo y maximo a utilizar este mecanismo me parece excelente idea
Welcome to my Chanel man! THANKS again to Mr. ARoss for helping me out to expand my little channel! Hope you guys like it and learn something new! Every welder has different methods of doing things and what ever it takes to make the job easier is great!
Claro que si.. este casco de soldar lo arme yo, lo único que compre prefabricado fue el fibra de carbono y lo que es la madera yo lo fabrique para este lente automático que uso
Good music. Slick welds. 👍🏻 I like it

What gear do you put your machine on for the root and what do you set your remote at
I'm running it on 3rd gear, and if I have a perfect gap, I'll run it on 65
