Beautiful Work! I was gonna ask if you could help a fellow Euphonium out. On the wild battle, how do you manage those fast trills? I'd like to learn this song and that's the part where I get confused on how to play accurately. (This also goes for any of those trills you have in the Gym battle) Thanks!
Thanks! First, I'd like to make sure you know that all of those super fast parts are split between two of the euphs. Doing those runs on just one euph would be insane, and likely not very possible. But in general, the only way to learn a really fast run in my opinion is to start by playing it very slowly (with a metronome) and gradually speed up. It also helps to break the run into sections. So if I had a fast passage that was 4 measures long, I would start by playing measure 1 slowly, speed it up, move on to the next, speed it up, etc. And eventually put it all together.

Haha, actually nobody other than me in my family is a musician surprisingly enough. I just took to learning instruments at an early age. In fifth grade, I envied the fact that the trumpets always had the melody, so I learned trumpet. In sixth, I wanted to learn a woodwind, and I picked sax because I thought it was cool. etc, and now I can almost play an entire wind ensemble. :)
