I still play this game on my PS2 all the time and i love it especially the fact that you can climb your webs while swinging the whole game was just amazing
As a kid this was my favorite Spider-Man game. I always loved the missions where you played as Venom and thought it did a better job at adapting the Ultimate Venom arc than the actual comics. The version of Venom we have in this game now feels like a mix of the Topher Grace version and Tom Hardy version combined into one.
My favorite Spider-Man game easily! I wish the story was longer, felt short as a kid especially since there wasn't much to do in the overworld afterwards, but the comic art style and Venom were so sick. Side note, it does suck to know what happens to this Spider-Man at the end of this universe though...haha

The music is absolutely better. Think swinging is worse but still great. Combat is worse as well except for maybe Spiderman 2. But how action packed all the missions were and the great art style make this worthy competition to games coming out 20 years later, and that's insane.

The hardest mission in the game imo was the Carnage boss fight, not because Carnage himself was hard, but because opening those damn metal doors required so much precision while spamming L and R (on Gamecube). Never got to unlock the Black Suit either since you need 100% for it. All I had to do was get the tokens and never got around to it.

Oh god! I remember playing this when I was 5 years old on GameCube 😢 memories, but I ordered it again on GameCube for Christmas on 2019 so I could relive my childhood memories again and I still have it 🥰
I have the limited edition of the game on PS2 which has that cool Venom purple cover art and bonus videos which has stan lee, making of the game and character bios.
When your web swinging in spider man 2 if u have swing assist set to zero every once in a while you get a super long web line as u can’t control that and u drop height and that can cause u to hit the floor breaking the web line adding a climb to the web swing would fix that and or add running on the floor and stuff through the swing preferably both and u would have such a great improvement could forgo the in-depth horizontal web swinging
I wish they took notes from previous Spider-Man games and implemented it into spm2 ps5 and ofc spm2 ps6. Not even playing ( I’m sure some others agree) the way venom was used in ULT Spider-Man was more enjoyable than spm 2 ps5
I would really like Hulk Ultimate destruction to come to current gen. Impaling robots and slapping goons would be so much fun in that destructible sandbox

9/10 is way too generous. The races with Johnny Storm, especially that first one, that you have to do to continue the game, and chasing Electro, are more than enough to keep the game at a 7 at best. It was great playing as Venom, but I wish there had been more to do. It was fun getting agents of Shield after you, but that novelty could only last so long.
The punisher game needs a remastered remake the X-Men legends 1 and 2 ultimate alliance the old PlayStation 1 PlayStation 2 GameCube Spider-Man games we’re really fun I would be really happy if they made them all and. Release them. On PlayStation 4 and 5 Xbox And Nintendo switch

Easily better than the insomniac games. You cant beat the background music, the villains, the side characters, the comic graphics, and the gameplay.

Didn't see it in your footage but venom and do a forward tendril pull and and upwards one when climbing. Really smooths out the movement imo

The game boy version of this was so much fun as a kid
The one thing i hated about USM is that it forces you to play the races and combat trials and collect a certain amount of token to progress the story.
