For reference (what the frame rates actually are on the Olympus OM-D E-M5 III):
    60p: 59.94 fps
    50p: 50.00 fps
    30p: 29.97 fps
    25p: 25.00 fps
    24p: 23.98 fps
    C4K 24.00 fps
Main advantages of the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II over the others are:
    - Live view shooting (tethering) from a computer via Olympus workspace is useful for studio shoots.
    - Ability to power the camera from an AC adapter and use it at the same time (using the external grip HLD-6P).
    - Availability of a headphone port via the external grip HLD-8G.
    - Use as a webcam with Olympus webcam software.
    - Magnesium alloy body i.e. more durable.
    * The above features are not available on either the em5mk3 or em10mk4.
Main advantages of the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV:
    - Tilt screen.
    - Battery conservation (battery last very long).
    - More touch screen functionality is supported.
    - Has the smallest dimensions and size.
    - Is the lightest of the three cameras.
Both the em10 mk iv and em5 mk ii have a unique advantage over the em5 mk3:
    - Extended ISO range can be used with Auto-ISO (i.e. above 6,400 to 25,600), so from 200 - 25,600 whereas on the em5 mk iii the auto-iso can be set from 200 - 6,400 which is the native ISO range for all three omd cameras.

@@RadCameraMan possibly. Im on the em 10 mark 2 at the minute and pretty happy with it though. I might look at the em5 at some point for the pdaf and better IS.

@@RadCameraMan Currently have the old E-PL7 and Pana GX85. Love E-PL7 for daily use. Don't really like the GX85. Plan to sell it and get E-M10IV for more serious events. But after watching your video I think E-M5II is more worth it. I don't really care about 4K. Thanks again. Subscribed.

Nice. To me the main difference is the Sensor of EM 5 Mk 3. It has a phase detect (same sensor found in EM1 mk 2and 3). Except that other differences are negligible... Now OM-5 is out as a baby EM1Mk 3. This is the right time to grab a used EM5 mk 3 with a reduced price..

    • @RadCameraMan
      @RadCameraMan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Agreed, but OM-5 has one really good feature which is that they removed the 30 minute limit for video recording. It is really annoying that they didn't provide a firmware update with this change for E-M5 III.

I like the plastic body. It just feels right in my hands. I’m small. 💁🏻‍♀️
And with the shutter dampening is nice and quiet. E-M5iii so Smooth.

What is the tripod adapter you have under the cameras? 😎
The Panasonic DMW-TA1 is discontinued. It allows fatter lenses to be used on the tripod.

Ulanzi Claw Quick Release (Generation II) amzn.to/3S7tGuv
It's worth mentioning that these release plates are different to the one that you mentioned in that they are square and the 1/4" 20 screw is in the middle which means the release plate protrudes in front of the camera whereas with the Panasonic DMW-TA1 or if the screw was located differently this problem wouldn't be present.

You can easily solve the flip screen issue by putting an L bracket on the EM10 MK IV, I've seen some grips sold for around 20 bucks that have the mounting screw to the right, with a small hole for battery/SD memory change.

There’s no 1080p slow motion for the EM 10?

    • @RadCameraMan
      @RadCameraMan  ปีที่แล้ว

No, the maximum resolution for slowmotion is 720p. If you want slowmotion in 1080p you need a different camera such as the EM5 III.
Are you planning to buy the EM10?

Great content! I am so confused between getting a used em5 M3 and a new em2 M4 and I just move between these two models unable to make a clear decision.
I currently have em2 M2 and I shoot mainly stills with occasional video. My focus is to have a better image quality than em2 M2 and shoot jpeg as much as possible with limited time spent on post.
May I ask you what you would do and your buying decision if given an choice.
    Many thanks!

If you are trying to decide between the EM5 M3 and EM10 M4, I would definitely recommend the EM5 M3 without any doubt because:
      1. It has better image stabilization which means lower shutter speeds can be used which ultimately results in the camera receiving more light and having more dynamic range and hence a better picture quality.
      2. It has high resolution mode which means it is possible to take very high resolution pictures for product photography.
      3. Its sensor has marginally more resolution. The difference is insignificant but still any small improvement is good.
      4. It has phase detect auto-focus which helps with faster focus acquisition.
      5. It has cross type auto-focus points which helps with more accurate focus acqusition.
      6. It has more auto focus modes e.g. Preset AF.
      7. It has more focus target areas which provide more flexibility when focusing.
      8. It has punch in zoom focus for more accurate focusing.
      9. It has a higher sequential shooting drive speed.
      10. It has a pre-capture functionality.
      11. It has a separate compartment for battery and memory card.
      12. It has a lock button on the mode dial.
      13. It has more buttons for customization such as a button in front of the camera, a function lever, an ISO button, a shooting drive button, etc.
I haven't even covered the video feature since you mentioned that you will be mainly using it for photography but the E-M5 III is so much better than the E-M10 IV that it is not even a comparison.
The only reason I made this video was to point out that there are some minor advantages to the lower end E-M10 M4 and E-M5 M2 in comparison to the E-M5 M3 even though the E-M5 M3 is substantially better.
So my recommendation is to buy the E-M5 III without any hesitation in comparison to the other two cameras. Also, keep in mind that the E-M5 III has the same sensor as the flagship E-M1 III and E-M1X cameras. This sensor is better than the new OM-1 as well.
Anyway, please let me know if I can provide further information about any features or clarify any details.
