This was good to think further on.
In my experience I find "ministry" that has to do with the Sunday Morning machine tends to get the most support. People involved in ministry outside of Sunday morning are often left to fend for themselves will little support from the church leadership itself. It's sad because it shows where the priority is for some churches.

This is absolutely true. 90% percent of time is spent on making Sunday work which leaves little room for other support.

So true, never thought of it as the Sunday Morning Machine before. Any other ministries are invisible or almost nonexistent in some churches, when the ministries we are called to as Christians have almost nothing to do with Sunday morning “worship.”

This mindset had me and my husband constantly abandoning what God had called us to in the marketplace and managing our household well in lieu of missions, serving, and pursuing "more" in church ministry. After years of cycles, finally got off the train.

In everything we do we glorify and honor God wherever we are at ..., the cop that is a devout follower of Christ that stops a school shooting or a robbery just gave honor to the Lord ... its these things we don't pay attention too but God sees the deeds of his people that are hidden

What i totally appreciate about your channel is that it speaks to issues christians struggle with but it is original thought and I thank you and your wonderful wife. We are all a part....every joint supplies....God bless you

Thank you for saying this. It’s encourting to hear. We try to add to the conversation with original thought. Many times that means we miss the algorithm train but it’s worth it. I’m finding Faith is not about being first but faithful. It’s not when you show up but how you show up. Thank you sis.

Agree. Left a PCA church because the only path to acceptance in the church was to get behind the Elders’ plan to build a seminary in Haiti. 🤪. Didn’t want any part of that nonsense, imo. God gave me different gifts and I had to move on to remain effective in the kingdom. 😇. Thanks for this podcast. Good subjects addressed here in a clear way for easy understanding. 👍🏻

One of the main reasons I left the church building is because you had a handful of people running the show, when the New Testament church isn’t supposed to look like that. It’s vile in nature and antithetical to God’s purpose. At least that’s what the scriptures say.

Great word, 💯 percent agree. I tend to think idolatry is part of the issue. We love to make idols out people that we think are great, ministry is no exception. Unfortunately making people great can potentially make you feel small and ill-equipped to do ministry. Keep encouraging us bro❗️

✅️✅️✅️... you just earned a passing grade, Brother!
P.S. In kindergarten, we would get check marks✔️ or minuses➖️ for completing required scholastic goals. As always the video content causes one to PONDER and EXAMINE self😀 You (and others) bring forth things that many of us (away from social media platforms) know and say too! BLESSINGS🙏🏼 and THANKS😊

@churchdropout , I briefly thought about my comment of checks and minuses😂😂😂 (and I physically still have my kindergarten report card). There are advantages to being over 50😀

they see them all lathered up in the money and they want to be them so they think that that will get on them if they give to them, very delusional, the word of God, if they would like to know, says whoever gives to the rich will only come to poverty, in Proverbs 22.
