Thank you. The biblical function of a pastor, as described in the New Testament, emphasizes shepherding, teaching, and caring for others within the body of Christ. While elders often hold pastoral responsibilities (1 Peter 5:1-3), the role of shepherding is not exclusively tied to formal titles or positions. Ephesians 4:11-12 indicates that the purpose of pastoral gifts is to equip all believers for ministry, fostering mutual care and edification. Any mature believer who nurtures others in faith, shares God's Word, and reflects Christ's love can fulfill the pastoral role, emphasizing the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:9).
Going to help the widows and the fatherless is what the Bible says true and undefiled religion is. Huge void in that area. And pretty much non-existent when they are celebrities.
The only thing I will say regarding Matt Chandler is that I know he would agree with you. Before his teachings he posts a disclaimer saying that he should not replace the local church that we should be plugged into. I am not defending everything he does, but I just wanted to be fair. God bless!
I don't understand the point you are trying to make about celebrity Pastor. You say in your definition that when someone reaches a certain popularity status they become celebrities, you say if they are teaching and influencing ppl outside of their local church that makes them celebrity, you said that other will follow their teachings and what they say over their own Pastor's. If you are Confident in what you do as a pastor you shouldn't worry anyway all are Jesus sheep we own nothing and no one. So after these things being said of you what does that make you. Why are you here on a platform that literally can be access globally for ppl to hear your teachings, what you think and what you have to say. What will it make you when you hit 2000 subscribes and views. And is there truly a difference from being a celebrity Pastor and well known Pastor. What makes you think that all they do is preach and teach are you in their church, there to hear them personally counsel their members and making visits to their congregation. Are you aware that in the Bible Jesus, Paul, James, Timothy, Matthew,Mark,Luke and John and many of the prophets in Scripture went beyond their local church with preacher, teaching and demonstrate the Gospel. Bro you make no sense bro. Examine what are you really talking about you need to examine yourself. It reads like jealousy. Anyway many ppl need to Jesus for themselves read the word for themselves and for discernment. Wrong on so many levels. Now should they encourage ppl to ask God to lead them to a local God fearing Pastor yes absolutely not only depend on social media.

We need stop using this word celebrity so loosely. Popular or celebrity or well known is there a sincere difference????
@@colstrumdesinor5673 I agree we need to read the word. That would include reading what a pastor is and does.
@@colstrumdesinor5673 There is a difference.
