Word of advice to anybody watching this... just be careful of that yellow brake reservoir cap, I fumbled it and it dropped down under the engine. If you're going to take it off, take it off and put it somewhere and then deliberately put it back on, don't just flippantly do it like I tried to.
For next time, loosening the brake fluid resorvoir cap or just taking it off entirely will allow pressure to escape without introducing air which in turn makes pushing the piston in about 50% easier.

I turned it with channel locks then used a piston pusher to push down...Took about 3 times and had no issues afterwards...👍Helpful video
