I'm a right but left footed wah user too, I have often thought about placing the wah to the left side, you could probably do it easy with that switcher!
boost after distortion/Fuzz and then cleaning up with the guitar is what works for me too. I tried to do boost>OD to take the OD into fuzz territory but whenever I used the boost on its own for a clean solo it was very stale. Dialing back on an Dist/fuzz is good bc you can still retain the midrange of the pedal and jump out in the mix
Apreciate it, thanks man! I run my fuzz and duellist the same but i havent put my univibe last after drives for a long time...its before the KT vintage fuzz, I really dig the univibes "preamp" going into fuzz...
Thanks! Enjoyed the vid 🎼 Recently add Jesse’s Soloist & may take another shot at his Mini Fuzz. Any personal preference between the Germanium or Silicon?? Also, have you tried the octaland ?? I know you two are friends
I have similar pedals on the same size pedal train, and it can be hard to make them all fit. You did a great job of making them all fit, and work together without any buffers or loops . Except that first pedal, what’s that for, and would it sound the same without it?
Awesome gear, tone, knowledge! Thanks so much Nik! Serious question(s): Do you gig regularly? What part of the country do you live in where clubs allow you to play at these volumes? Does gig money pay for the obsession or do you take a loss financially when purchasing such awesome gear? Do you break even when chasing tone financially? I ask because personally I'm at the point where I now ask "what's the point anymore?" Thanks!!
RaZoRsEdGe yes. I gig on the east coast. I work hard and am smart with my money. I also work a full time job before all of that. So i hustle. Look for a deal Thats how i do it
Hi! Why you use a splitter as first pedal? And are you using the tuner as last pedal? Why? Don't you use a buffer pedal in this signal chain? Thanks and awesome tone man!
Hey Nik, Some people claim that with fuzz before wah the tone is very synth sounding, compared to wah then fuzz. I couldn't detect that in your tone here or any of your other videos. Do you find that to be true? Thanks!
Awesome Video Nik! You set me in a great direction with a germanium fuzz. Thanks and what was the value on that treble bleed resistance? I didn't hear what it was lol
ultimateguitarwizard yeah I just thought the resistance value was a mystery. Right now I'm trying to figure out what value in relation to the pot. Seems like the cap is always the same but resistance is different. Thanks for the help
Hello Nik, i am curious about your MJM London Fuzz, does this mean that all the red old version got the NTK275 resistor or your is a special run ? Cos i see one used but the knobs are different than your version.. Regards Nicolas
Hi Nick! I did the true bypass mod on my wah pedal but noticed a drop in volume when the pedal was engaged. I then changed the swith and made the wire connections. Did you also notice this drop in volume after the mod? Did you change any resistor in the circuit when you made the mod? cheers bro
Marcio C.P well if you've converted to true bypass, replace the 68K series input resistor with a lower value, say 47K. This gives a slight increase in volume. Too low a value is likely to result in the pedal picking up radio interference. But that mod should help you!
hey Nik, can all this be accomplished with a lower wattage amp? I have a Louis Electric Princetone reverb, it has a 12” speaker and 6L6 tubes for 28 watts. It sounds pretty good with descent breakup when turned up, I am a bedroom player so I do have to use an attenuator. Buy my tone is not even close to yours, is it because of the attenuator? Or do I need a Super reverb? thanks
Stephen Prater i would think with that amp, all of your tones are possible. Use the amp to get your overdriven tone, lighten up on the right hand when looking for cleans, and you got it all my friend!
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 right on, I'm curious about one other thing if you dont mind answering. I have the dunlop cheese wedge and I'm considering the octaland and just curious if you think its "worth" the upgrade. I like the extra features bit my main concern is if it has all the cool artifacts like the cheese wedge and sounds as authentic to you? Even if you think it's just a bit nicer for standard octavia sounds then I'll probably go that route...thanks, man. Nice playing as always..
Nik-I have tried 2 different wahs after the fuzz and it never works? It sounds like a filter and not a wah? what am I doing wrong? Thanks and great tone
I will try again- feel like i've tried the buffer thing before. I have one wah with a buffer in it and it works before the fuzz, but changes feel of fuzz. Thanks again
Listen up!!
Love it! Yes, helpful for me; much appreciated! Tx! Appreciate your last thoughtful sentiments too.
Thanks for sharing your rig. I like running Fuzz before Drive, then into Wah!
I'm a right but left footed wah user too, I have often thought about placing the wah to the left side, you could probably do it easy with that switcher!
G’day Nik, very informative and some wicked tones & playin! Thanks man 👍🏻
Awesome sounding man! excellent demo too! i was looking for specifics like this because i love the way of Fuzz. thanks man!
You have it down!!! Great playing!!! You have done your homework! THANK YOU!!!!!
Great board! Great video! Thanks for the information!
Nik as always great video and great playing
Thanks so much brother
Amazing playing and tones. I owned a mojo vibe that I put stickers on to make it look like this haha sick design
So good I had to watch it again!
a video of the duellist vs blues power would be good if you still have them nik.
All your videos are very educational, I really learned a lot with you

I likes to "fuzz my octavia/octafuzz-OF into F" and it sounds wicked!
HEY NIK! i have been waiting for you to do another video and as always it was killer!
Very cool and helpful,thanks!
I love it!! Very cool indeed.
This is very helpful, Nik, thanks!
Very helpful video Nik
Inspired me to reset up my pedal board during isolation 👍🏼
Epic video!! Amazing tones!!!
When you used the octave pedal with the wah it sounded like phillip sayce
Awesome vid man. Great job
Thanks for this mate 👍
Thanks! Enjoyed the vid 🎼 Recently add Jesse’s Soloist & may take another shot at his Mini Fuzz.
Any personal preference between the Germanium or Silicon??
Also, have you tried the octaland ??
I know you two are friends
Hey Nik thanks for the detail! I use my volume knob constantly - what are you’re favorite values for the bleed?
All guitars are different. But. Anywhere from 330pf to 1000pf. Ive done a treble bleed video on here to test different values!
Nice playin man....great board.....and that wah pedal is godly
Awesome tones always, keep it up, love your videos
9:56 angriest wah scream I've ever heard!
Great video!!!

Solid. Thank you.

Everything you asked is answered in the vid
The keeley splitter is just a union into the fuzz
No buffer in the setup. Never used them.
Mean board bro 🤙
Nik, Philip Sayce running the effects on the same signal chain? Superb tones by the way! 👊🎸
Hey Nik,
Some people claim that with fuzz before wah the tone is very synth sounding, compared to wah then fuzz. I couldn't detect that in your tone here or any of your other videos. Do you find that to be true?

Ive just always used fuzz first
The circuit wants to see the guitar pickups first.

ncoyouth nothing special about mine. Its just old and sounds great. Currently for sale
Thanks Nik

The Riff w Nik Sevigny thanks! I'll try this
Great vídeo man.
When you started with the fuzz I thought I heard a big ass dog bark!
Righteous!!!
Hey man, check out the gypsy vibe by pedal pawn. Kicked of my kr mega for it !!
This is an old video
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 ye i kno. anyways pedal i ultra worth to check it. its amazing!

Thank you bruh!
Hey man. My pal Philip spoke very highly of you Right on!💪🏽 Hope to shake hands at some point
The Riff w Nik Sevigny right on. Tell em thanks. Hope to meet you one day soon and we can talk pedals (I’ll be the one doing the listening 🤓)
The Riff w Nik Sevigny we are talking about the same Philip right? 😀
Toronzo Cannon u bet
Do you changed the pot of the KR Megavibe from 100k to 250k?
I did change it. Just not sure what value. It was a long time ago
when you true bypassed the wah did you change input resistor value?
No. I find with the old ones, there is rarely any volume drop

Hi, do you use this pedal board with a dirty or clean amp?
Both
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 In this video?
order of the pedals please!? greetings from Argentina🇦🇷
Its right in the video bud.
@@theriffwniksevigny5473 is very!!! Jaja
I know you have an adjustable power supply you showed on a video. I can’t find that video and so can’t find the power supply lol can you help? Thanks
Its called “ brown box”
"Fill up space" kinda sounds like "Philip Sayce"
do you keep both knobs on the fuzz dimed?
No. Usually the volume is 3/4 up. Fuzz is 1/2
Nik-I have tried 2 different wahs after the fuzz and it never works? It sounds like a filter and not a wah?
what am I doing wrong? Thanks and great tone
C Ray so u are going. Guitar-fuzz-wah? Put a tuner in between the wah and fuzz. Look back at a past video. I talk about doing this
I will try again- feel like i've tried the buffer thing before. I have one wah with a buffer in it and it works before the fuzz, but changes feel of fuzz. Thanks again
Thanks.
whoaa step back a bit Mr Kr money vibe!!
You've gotten much better than this 😉
