Stacked this on top of one of your older all-in-one workouts. The high energy music kept 76 YO me motivated to keep on. I usually work out in the a.m. and 'forced' myself to do this before dinnertime - glad I did.
Holy moly! This one was deceptively harder than it looked! I'm back from a week in Savannah (including travel to and from), to spend a DEE-lightful 5 days with gal-pals! We've known each other since kindergarten...just about 68 years ago! We haven't been in the same room together for decades, but all of the old friendship magic is still a vital life force! We laughed 'til we cried (and since we're all ladies of a certain age, we were laughing, sitting down, with our legs crossed...hahaha...), we played games, and every day we walked 3-5 miles, touring Savannah, the parks, the riverfront---and we even did a self-guided "ghost tour" around the iconic Bonaventure Cemetery! WHAT FAB-O FUN!!! But now, time to get back into my daily routines...which include sweatin' along with you every afternoon!
Oh, I love hearing about your travel stories, Jan. It definitely sounded like a good time! Wonderful to read about the trip. Hopefully you can make it an annual get together. Welcome back home!
A masterpiece! You have certainly demonstrated through your hard work that beginners and older people can enjoy a challenge. This is so adaptable and encompassing the full body beautifully. Love the shorter intervals. Thanks to Mr Jules as well for his creative decisions about colour … love the green in the t shirt and timer etc. If this was your decision Jules and not your husband’s … sorry 🤣🤣🤣
Jules!! Thanks for these shorter workouts capable of working up a good sweat! I love to do many smaller workouts some days as opposed to a couple long ones! These are awesome!❤
I think it's a great idea to do shorter workouts throughout the day instead of one long one. It's really all about what works for each person. Breaking them up also helps with keeping blood sugars down throughout the day.
From the first move to the ending quotation, energy on a screen! You are a machine. Let's just say that with a bum knee and a compromised shoulder, if someone compared your moves to mine, they wouldn't know we were doing the same workout and YOU would be first draft for a sports team. 😁 Grateful you have taught us how to modify because every step does count.

Did this following a step routine on another page and your 5 min arm and balance routine. Great workout but I probably should have done it first. Heart is pounding and I am dripping! I will be repeating this in a couple of days...Whew!

I have been doing your workouts for quite some time 6 days a week and I love them! My only issue is that I have bursitis in both my shoulders and really can't do a lot of the arm movements. I'm wondering if I'm still getting a good workout
It's definitely still a good workout even if you don't use your arms:) My suggestion is to do whatever arm movements you can and avoid any that bother you. The bicep curl, hammer curl and tricep exercises can be done over and over to increase strength in your arms without having to lift your arms. You could use light weights as well to intensify the arm movements...just be sure to keep the arms close to the body to prevent your shoulders from moving too much.
I wanted to make this so it would be modified as needed...if you choose to do it again, just slow your pace down a little bit so it's the level you want it to be:)

It is amazing what can be fit into a 12 minute workout:) If you want to do this one again, my suggestion is to slow your pace down a little bit so your HR is where you want it to be. OR, you can also pause the workout part way, take a minute when you need to allow your HR to come down more, and then continue.

There are so many types of workouts out there...my suggestion is to find what you like because the bottom line is that is what you'll enjoy and stick with. I would never suggest one workout over another because a combo of workouts is best.
